When it rains, it pours they say and boy is it raining on Tamia! She feels like the entire world is against her and she just wants it all to be over. After being completely heartbroken by Ray with the help of Tamia, Michelle experiences a presence from the past. Together they set plans in motion to kill them both. Will Rashard get it together or is it already too late for him? Will everything work out for Tamia as it should or will all the people that are coming together defeat her? Will Michelle kill Rashard and Tamia or die trying?
~4.5 These characters are really bringing the drama & Tamia somehow keeps getting caught up in it. Michelle is crazier than I imagined. In fact all these characters have a level of unstableness that's creeping out. It seems the more I read, the closer the character connection. Overall, I thought this was a good read & I am looking forward to reading the next part..
I gave this book five star because I absolutely amazed with the characters and everything. I am definitely going to recommended this book and the first one on my Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter. Special thanks to Linette King for two awesome books.
I normally don’t like to write negative reviews I’ll just pass on writing ✍🏾 one but unfortunately this is my second one on this author!!!! I hate how when reading the story of the next character the author repeat the same thing for an example when Tamia end and Candy story starts she repeats the same story Tamia was telling blah blah I really dis like this author style of writing ✍🏾 I really do... I will continue with the series but I’m sure it’s going to take me awhile 😏😏 its my opinion, my thoughts & my feelings of this book 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
The ratchetness and foolery is abundant in this book. I didn't like the fact that there were whole song lyrics to read through. (I didn't read them). Also didn't like the long flashbacks taken from the first book. As a responsible reader it should be up to us to recall those things and save the space for new and relevant info. I like to finish what I start but I think its going to be hard to get through the next 5 books.
I'm a devoted reader of LK "s work. This is the first time I read some of her older writing. I get where she came from and why she is a force to reckoned with. Can't wait to read the rest of the series and its spin ogg. I'm Not Her.
This series def wasnt the best? the toxicity mindset around black women when this was wrote by a black woman doesnt sit right with me, and the 7 books for the MMC to be unloyal the entireeeeee time? and The Fmc just let it go because “he knows who he comes to” Bye. *Same review for whole series*
Wow to be trying your best to live your life for others to want to hurt you for things you have no control over and blaming you. This keeps getting better
It's okay. I was getting pissed that Rashard cannot keep it in his pants. That was almost a deal breaker for me. He thinks more of himself than he is. Tamia is right for not getting with him, he's not reliable. Of course and once again, the end saved it. I wasn't expecting what happened. Their world is too small. Also, Michelle is a nut job. Lol . It also has some comedy. I still need to know what's gonna happen so I'll continue on.
This was a really good book. It was full of action & kept me wanting to read more...I just wish the Tamia could catch a break. She's just trying to handle her business but the hate for her is REAL..I hope she can finally have a happy ending..
You can not even trust your own mother, this chicks mother wants her dead for trying to kill her boyfriend that was molesting her,who is going to come out alive?
Repetitive, slow, sophomoric with a large dose of colorism
I listened to his book on audible. It was hard to complete. I like a good urban read so I try different authors. I feel like those who gave a Repetitive, slow, sophomoric with a large dose of colorism
I listened to his book on audible. It was hard to complete. I like a good urban read so I try different authors. I feel like those who gave a 3star or better rating read a different version of the book than I consumed. The author is talented, but I think I’ll try a different book and leave this series alone. This book had me wishing I wasn't one of those people that need to see how a book ends. This was a painful listen, because of the following: • Repetitiveness- the author’s pension for devoting multiple unecessary chapters so that each character involved can tell you what they were thinking and felt for the scenes aided in the slow pace and mindless detail given. • Boasting - the author boasted about color so much that it overshadowed the story. The characters all seemed to hate themselves. It also felt as if the writer may have unresolved issues surrounding skin tone. The characters boasted about material things that did not seem as “boss” as I’m sure they were meant to convey. Rashard was supposed to be a college student who was a skilled “boss” in the game, but it was not told in a way that was believable. • Contradicting statements- example rashard states dark skin women give nothing but attitude just like tamia is giving him when they first met and in the next sentence he states she's not giving him attitude so he'll give her a pass... • No character development or plot structure • Sophomoric writing • Horrible narration (especially the singing even singing a gospel song didn’t make it any better (sorry) mispronunciation of words i.e. carte blanche) Production-the narrator would speak a sentence and then repeat it once, twice or three times until it was the way she wanted • Drama for the sake of drama no rhyme or reason; no logic which also made the characters come across as bi-polar every last one of them.mple rashard states dark skin women give nothing but attitude just like tamia is giving him when they first met and in the next sentence he states she's not giving him attitude so he'll give her a pass... • No character development or plot structure • Sophomoric writing • Horrible narration (especially the singing even singing a gospel song didn’t make it any better (sorry) mispronunciation of words i.e. carte blanche) Production-the narrator would speak a sentence and then repeat it once, twice or three times until it was the way she wanted • Drama for the sake of drama no rhyme or reason; no logic which also made the characters come across as bi-polar every last one of them.
