A child considers a range of daily experiences--happy, disappointing, painful, dismaying, and, mostly, hopeful--and emphasizes that the most important one is what is happening "right now."
A title from the 1980's that would not appeal today. However, I enjoyed the delicate illustrations and the fact that the left side of the double page spread was black and white and the right side was in color. The black side represented a sad or non positive happening in the child's life and the colorful side represented the positive in the moment activity that was happening. The positive text always began with "But right now". Has a great message about being positive and is depicted in activities a child can understand. It was precious to see children making cakes from mud!! Mud pies, cakes, cookies, etc was great play fun, but what child knows what that is now?
