Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregor boys who may or may not be wearing clothing and who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love.

Odd how this one was shorter than the other books in the series?! This one started off making me think it'll be angsty but it wasn't and it was a little insta love but it's still okay.
Fergus tragically lost his wife Elspeth centuries ago and hasn't stopped trying to find her since. Donna doesn't understand what keeps drawing her back to Fergus and the MacGregor clan of boisterous relatives, she just knows she feels an unexplainable pull to him beyond normal attraction.
A crazy, kilt loving warlock family from centuries past, a feisty neighbor with a knack for food poisoning, and a little holiday magic, this novella is full of comedy and hijinks in this second chance romance from Pillow
I loved this little novella but I sure wish it had been longer and there was going to be more books in this series. They were all fantastic.
The prologue was the telling of Fergus and his wife Elspeth running from the witch hunters in the fifteenth century then him finding her again hundreds of years later. It was a wonderful love story.
There was sexual tension in this novella and a perfect sexcapade. And the F-bomb was used 2 times, hardly enough to bother a person BUT enough for some.
As to the narrator: Believe it or not I enjoyed the narrator so much I decided to invest the $1.99 for the Audible version of this novella. He did an excellent job with every characters voice. There were a lot of characters, too, and everyone had their own voice. He was amazing.
Fergus MacGregor is a warlock who lost his wife, Elspeth, hundreds of years ago. Them his family moved to a new town and he is starting to get to the point where he wants to join her in death. Then there is a surprise visitor on their land bringing treats. Most of his family hides but Fergus is polite. The beautiful woman Donna has definitely caught his attention especially after he tastes her horrible cooking. Meeting Donna at her home she seems a whole different woman. One he can't get out of his head even though he feels like he is betraying Elspeth.

Sometimes she wakes up after it seems like someone has taken over her body. She is drawn to the MacGregor estate and Fergus. However the more time she spends with Fergus, the more strange things she sees. Could she be going crazy?

It's a funny, and heartfelt tale of love and redemption. A insta-love story that brings lots of spicy scenes. I'm always happy to visit the MacGregor family as they are a fun bunch. This one is a quick and fun Scottish paranormal listen. The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo does a wonderful job keeping the listener engaged and laughing with all of shenanigans. The blend of romance, and the allure of the Scottish paranormal world creates an enthralling experience that will leave listeners thoroughly entertained.
When he lost his beloved, he felt like he'd never recover. They were supposed to have eternity but it wasn't to be. All he feels is emptiness in his heart. Every night, he tries to call her to him from the beyond. But alas, she doesn't come. The first time he meets Donna, it's a pleasant surprise. Why his nephews were running from her he couldn't figure. She didn't look or feel like a threat, she was in fact very beautiful. But the taste of the contents of her " welcome to the neighborhood basket" was straight from the underworld. Donna was just trying to be a good neighbor and the last MacGregor she'd met was the most handsome by far. Now, if she could just remember why she did it, she wouldn't be so confused. She knows that nothing that she cooks is edible so why is she doing it? Why is she seeing, hearing and experiencing strange things? After talking with his dog, yeah that's right, he decides to go and talk to her and give her a gift basket. Why does she sound different then she did before? Then the basket ruins the whole meeting. His family isn't as funny as they think they are. The next thing they know, they're in each other's arms. Fergus is confused by what he wants and what once was. When she decides to visit him, she comes upon the strangest naked race. Then she sees magic? Ending up in his room after watching him healed is where the real magic truly happens. She thinks after all that, nothing she hears could be strange to her. But a ghost ex is some new kind of strange altogether, or is it all, , , Well, the proof is in the putting. This family is some kind of special that is just everyday to them and I love it!.

Stirring Up Trouble is the first time a MacGregor has died. The MacGregor clan is a clan of immortal warlocks. Fergus MacGregor has been grieving for his wife, Elspeth. He has tried every means, spells, and portions to bring back his dead wife and failed.
The MacGregor's new neighbor Donna Montgomery bought them cookies a little too late for housewarming. The right thing to do was to reciprocate back with a Thank You gift. Of course, the MacGregor clan has never failed to pull a prank, helped Fergus make a Thank You gift basket and delivered it to Donna. Donna thought Fergus was making fun of her cookies since she know that she couldn't bake if her life depends on it. Fergus couldn't help feeling bad and ended up kissing Donna.
Donna is hearing voices and seeing phantoms that couldn't be explained. Is her home being haunted or is she being haunted?
From here, the MacGregor clan just couldn't help themselves with their pranks on Fergus and Donna. It was a sweet story of true love. The story was a too short for the amount of stuff that is going on in the story. It seemed rush.
The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo did an excellent job for all of the characters' voices.

Fergus lost his first love centuries ago. Her last words were Whatever is beyond, find me again. He has pined for her for these centuries and tried to bring her back to no avail. Then they moved to Green Vallis, Wisconsin an epicenter of power and danger. He's coming down one day to do what he usually does, try to find a spell to bring his love back. But his nephew has run in and barred the door against BellaDonna. Playing tricks again but he is young only 400 years for a warlock. Donna is a photographer in the town. She has baked and taken her "goodies" to the new neighbors for over two months. She can't understand why she's doing that because a baker she is not! Then she hears music and bagpipes and a whisper. Maybe she's going crazy? Fergus goes to visit her to take her basket back filled with items his family chose for her. Only they were not nice things. She kicks him out after telling him to get his dog home or he'll freeze. She sees the dog standing near a woman. Then she hears a voice. Is she going crazy? Then it comes to a head one night and life is never the same again. A funny love story that sends tinkles down the spine.

This is #3 in the delightful Warlocks MacGregor series. It's hysterical, heartbreaking, a little spooky & the last chapter was so lovely at the end, per usual I needed my box of tissues.
**SOME VAGUE SPOILERS AHEAD** Donna, in her "fugue state", bakes like me. And the way the boys run barring the door is priceless. Plus, Traitor really will eat anything. I laughed so hard I hurt. Then with the Thank You basket Fergus takes to Donna I mean what were the MacGregor women thinking, letting the boys & Melina put it together?? I mean, I laughed my arse off but I can also understand Donna's reaction. Poor girl. Then naked sledding competitions & all the other naked sports the men do. Who wouldn't love to be a spectator at those games? Elspeth had me scratching my head. It took awhile to figure out if she was friend or foe to Donna. Elspeth's story is tragic but latter, with the help of Fergus' wonky magick, it also becomes quite comical as well. The HEA was so very wonderful and happened in a way I never saw coming.
This is worth every penny and definitely, highly recommended! Go.....buy now with one click. You won't be disappointed.

A simply wonderful addition to this series, the Macgregor at it again This was a wonderfully moving and very innovative read all about Fergus who had lost the love of his life some four hundred years before and had never had that connection again with any other female. He had tried so many things to try and bring his wife back from the dead but they all had been unsuccessful.
The suddenly a neighbour Donna for some reason begins calling on the mansion and bakes copious amounts of cookies for Fergus even though she cannot stand them. However, she is unable to stay away and it becomes apparent that perhaps she might have something to do with his dead wife.
Read this wonderful book as usual it is fill ed with laughter and humour and you will enjoy every moment of this book I assure you that you will not be able to put this book down. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
I enjoyed Fergus and Donna’s instalove, fated mates, warlock-human novella with a side of angry ghost. Fergus is an immortal warlock whose large clan family recently moved to small town Green Vallis. He lost his wife more than 400 years ago but has not moved on. Donna is a human who runs a photography studio in the town. She has been welcoming the MacGregor clan to the town with gift baskets of baked goods that she feels compelled to make despite the fact that she’s a terrible cook. Fergus is drawn to Donna and decides to try companionship even if his heart is still spoken for but things get a bit complicated. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline as shown through sweet moments, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments, messy families, painful pasts, surprises, plot twists, ghosts, magic, and love. I am enjoying the insanity that is the MacGregors and am looking forward to reading more in this series.
A neighbour dropping off cookies should be pleasant but unfortunately they aren't exactly edible. Meeting the woman with awful baking skills, Fergus is instantly drawn to her. He hasn't considered a woman since his wife sadly died centuries before. Donna sees things around that others don't and wonders what is going on. She refuses to be second to a dead woman even if love is quickly felt. Discovering the Macgregor secret doesn't seem to bother Donna but supernatural beings change everything.
I loved this book and believe each book only improves the series. It succeeds in sparking my appetite for more of this warlock family and the mischief they cause. This author is talented in every way to create and continue a series where each book is unique yet incomparable. The joy and heartbreak I felt reading this copy was amazing yet emotional due to events from the past.

The third book in the series and again another fantastic story! I love all the MacGregor characters, they bring so much fun and laughter to each story, each with their own personality and they’re not ashamed of their nudity.
Fergus MacGregor lost his wife hundreds of years ago but every day he tries to get her back with his Magik. He’s never wanted or looked at another woman since she died until Donna turns up at his doorstep with a basket full of horrid food!
He can’t understand why he’s suddenly so attracted to her so he decides to take her a present and see her again.
This story is so funny in places, how he ever gets to get his girl with all his family’s pranks is amazing!
Such a sexy passionate character, his passionate nature jumps off the pages, full of steam, fun, love, laughter and with an added twist to give a very special HEA.
You need to read this series, it’s really amazing!
This is Fergus Macgregor and Donna's story. Fergus is a warlock from Scotland. He and his somewhat eccentric magical family live together in a large renovated mansion/castle on the edge of a small town. Before the main story starts we have a flashback to the distant past when Fergus wife Elsbeth was killed during the witch hunts in Scotland. Next we are in present day with Donna a photographer from town dropping off a welcome gift to the Macgregors. It is some cookies but Donna is a horrible cook and the meeting does not go well. Fergus is never the less intrigued by her. He is somewhat torn though as well because he promised Elsbeth he would find her again and has been trying spells for years to do so including reincarnation. Will Fergus and Donna get their HEA or will Elsbeth keep them apart. Check this story out to see!.

Fergus lost his wife, Elspeth, 400 years ago, and daily he's been trying to bring her back. He finds Donna attractive, and he feels guilty and unfaithful. Donna, for reasons she doesn't understand, keeps baking cookies and taking them to the MacGregor mansion. The younger group of MacGregors believe these cookies could be weaponized. Donna sees human and animal ghosts and hears a Scottish male muttering at her in her house.
I love the MacGregor clan! They're funny, they play pranks on each other, they react to each other like a close family would, and they love with all their hearts. It would be handy to have a family tree so we can see the relationships.
This story is shorter than the previous two books.
Stand alone HEA, but better if you've read the first 2 books.
Contains sex scenes, swear words, and violence (stabbing, ghostly intruders).
This is a shorter novel in the series but no less enjoyable for all that! Fergus lost his wife about 400 years ago and has been grieving for his love ever since. A steadfast heart if ever there was one which makes it all the harder for him when he meets Donna and starts to have feelings for her. The guilt is a little overwhelming at times for him and misplaced really. Donna has a compulsion to bake cookies and leave them at the entrance of the MacGregor house but she cannot for the life of her work out why she is doing it! The scenery around there is not half bad though that has to be admitted. You have to love a family that loves so well that they play jokes on each other even after all this time. Such a sweet tale and for his years of pain you so want Fergus to be happy again, not to forget his wife but to find a peace with Donna. Loved it.
The Warlock MacGregor series are so enjoyable to read as nice short stories, but the characters are fun, sexy and magical adventures, so perfect mix for me. I have read a few in the series and some later adventures so nice to get back to read some of the earlier stories to give a bit more background and understanding the many family members that make up the Warlock MacGregor clan. Each story is stand alone or unique in that it revolves around one particular MacGregor warlord and the courtship as they find their sweethearts and mates. The humour and fun element of the books make them enjoyable and a side order of magic, sexy Scottish males and females, short stories and small town adventure creates a lovely feel and enjoyment to these good reads.

Fergus MacGregor lost his beloved wife Elspeth 400 years ago. He has spent the last 400 years trying to find a spell to bring her back to life. When he meets Donna Montgomery he is immediately drawn to her, but then he feels guilty for forgetting about Elspeth.
Donna thinks she is going crazy. She keeps hearing voices in her head and doing weird stuff and then doesn’t really know why she did them. Then there is the baking . She is the world’s worst cook but she is baking cookies for the MacGregors and taking them to their house. That is not her. And let’s not forget about the ghost woman and dog she keeps seeing!
You will laugh your way through this book, and what a surprise ending!

This is book 3 in Pillow's Warlocks of MacGregor series. A wonderful addition to this series that can be read / listened to as a standalone but so, so good as part of this series. This is a paranormal romance read with main characters Fergus MacGregor and Donna. This book is heartbreaking but also full of hope and I adore the MacGregor family and all their many antics. The narration on the audio version is wonderfully well done and keeps you engaged and captivated from start to finish. This was a shorter but no less impactful read / listen. A great addition - loving this warlock family and all the love and humor it brings!

Michelle M. Pillow’s third book in her ‘Warlocks McGregor’ series is magically delightful. The McGregor’s are at it again with all their zany antics. This time it’s Fergus McGregor’s turn to be bitten by the love bug. Fergus’ wife, Elspeth, died about four hundred years ago and he had tried every type of sorcery and magic to bring her back to life. But when Fergus is around his new neighbor, Donna, he finds her attractive and is drawn to her but feels like he’s betraying his deceased wife. This story is excitingly humorous with romance that is so hard to put the book down. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
I listened to the audio version of the book. Excellent story, with great narration. It was a joy to listen to. It is a sweet love story that stands the test of time. Fergus and Elspeth were in the 15th century when she passed away. Fergus is a warlock, and over the decades he tries everything he can to find his love again. He has about given up hope of finding her. Fergus moves to a new town and meets Donna. Donna, who is not good in the kitchen, finds herself drawn to bring Fergus baked goods. I won’t tell the rest, you will need to read the story. I found this story line interesting and entertaining. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Oh My Goodness, What a Wonderful Story but way too short. I Loved this edition to the Warlocks MacGregor collection. If it wasn't so short it would have been my favorite. For me it needed more about the back story of Fergus and Donna's 💘 Love story. There is so much that I would have loved to know. I won't get into any details because I don't want to give anything away. I Loved the change in Fergus's attitude and the effect that love had on his whole person. I can hardly wait to start reading the next book in this wonderful series...
A nice quick read, even as short as it is it sends us on a bit of a twist questioning certain spirits true motives. Considering that this is a novella the author made time to take us on a little emotional ride that brought a tear to my eye. So glad that Fergus finally got his HEA after all he’s suffered through he deserves it. As we have seen in previous books nothing is simple or boring in the Macgregor clan. I recommend you give this a read it won’t take up much of your time but you won’t regret it.
This is Fergus MacGregor’s story and we learn the full background of what happens to Elspeth and where Donna fits in. Very creative spin. It’s touching and all heart. I love sentimental stories that give Hallmark a run for its money. A story to read to make you feel loved and good. And we find out how those MacGregors love to challenge naked. Although there is some comedy it was more focused on love, loss and reunion.

Only my first read of the series and I’m hook with the MacGregor Warlocks. This family has one of the hottest swoon worthy men that Donna has ever met. When she finds herself in front of their door she meets Fergus for the first time and her life has never been the same since. I so love Fergus and his never ending love for his wife Elspeth who has been dead for many years. When he tries everything to bring her back, he finds himself having a strong attraction to Donna. What happens next was sweet, steamy and so enduring. I can’t wait to read more from this family.
Fergus lost his wife over centuries ago while trying to protect their niece during the Salem witch trials. He has not been able to bring her back even with all his magic. He meets Donna when she welcomes them to the neighborhood with the worst cookies he ever tasted. Donna knows she can't cook and can't figure out why she keeps trying to feed the MacGregors. She keeps hearing a man and seeing ghosts and dogs that aren't there. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending. I love Michelle M. Pillows books

Fergus lost his wife four hundred years ago, he has tried to call her to him but it hasn’t worked and now his family is telling him that maybe he needs to move on and although he will not love another, maybe lust is good enough. Donna considers the MacGregors on the hill, are conceited and stuck up, but why does she feel compelled to bake cookies and deliver them to the MacGregors! This was a wonderful story of soul mates finding each other regardless of how long it takes. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
