maybe there's a newer version? the one i'm reading is 2006, and it's astonishing how much the art world has changed in 10 years due to technology. many outdated things discussed: slides, library research, printed materials, etc.

i've written a good number of grants for both individual and organizational, so there wasn't anything new, but i'm glad i skimmed through this, it was a good kick-start to get moving again. regardless of dated material, i found a few useful hints, like i'm going to start a spreadsheet of grants that appeal to me and keep it handy. this would be more useful than too many bookmarks on my browser.

note: while this is a NY publisher, if you're from minnesota or the upper midwest, i highly recommend this. the author is a minnesotan and gives a lot of examples of local resources.

This book shares good specific insights on applying for arts grants. It is especially good for artists in Minnesota, because the author lived in MN and served on grant review boards.
