She's too good for my life. I have to do dirty deeds. But I have to have her. Now. Forever.
Sawyer - To most I'm a bad man. I've done violence and run with violent men. But even the cops know Great Wolves keep things in balance. Now my club has a new enemy. One that's preying on the most vulnerable. My club won't stand for it. We have some cleaning to do and it's going to get ugly. Which is why this is the worst time to let a woman in. But this woman is different than any I've ever known. I've always believed I'd die for the club and now I know I'd die for her. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'd die for one night with Bess.

Sawyer McCall is a bad guy. I know it. But he's the weapon I need to fight what's happening. I need to control him. Which will be a trick since I can't control myself.
Bess - He's the president of a Motorcycle Club for God's sake and I'm supposed to be a responsible single mother. His leather, scruff, and hard muscles are exactly what I need to stop what's happening all around me. But that same hardness is getting to me. I want him. It's a reckless feeling and I can't afford to be reckless. Protecting my own child and the kids of this town has been my life. But all of sudden I can't protect anyone or anything unless he's with me. Least of all my heart.

"So, I kissed her. No other woman had ever come close, or ever would. I knew. Club war be damned."

This was not my favourite of the series.
I had high expectation with it focusing a president of the MC.
I wanted more alpha roughness and more adrenaline of action.

However, the character lacks chemistry and emotions.
They felt kind of flat.
I was more interested in the action surrounding the character's romance.
Thank you next.

So this is the 5th book in the series and I have really enjoyed the first four books. I'm struggling right now between a 2 or 3 star for the book. The main story is about human sex trafficking with young teenage girls. Lots of facts about the Human Trafficking Program and process. I didn't feel the romantic connection between the H/h. It was kind of dry reading for me. Lots of short factual sentences. I just didn't enjoy the book as much as the previous books.

Ugh. Did a 7 year old edit this book? The grammar errors were driving me crazy and the dialogue was so static, I got no feel for the characters. No one talks that way!

"Stone, if that shoulder is okay, we will head to the hospital for Victor" Is this a robot speaking?

And half the time, I couldn't tell who was speaking. Doing 15 sentences in a row with a bunch of quotation marks does not a conversation make.

There were missing words, extra words and quotation marks throughout, that it actually made parts difficult to read. "We had gotten a lazy about security." Well...I had gotten a bored at about this point of the book.

Here is a good one "It was realer than the bullets we had awoken to." Anyone see anything wrong with this?

What happened to this book? The others were not great, but better. If the next book is as rushed and sloppy as this one, I'm done. And.... the only reason I'm reading the next one is because I already purchased the damned thing.

My biggest problem was the plot twist that I figured out 25% into the book and the dumbest caseworkers in the world.

Please...nobody judge me on my grammar or spelling in my review, for I AM NOT AN AUTHOR! I only have time to bitch for 5 minutes.

SAWYER(Great Wolves MC #5) by Jayne Blue

Sawyer McCall is president of the Great Wolves MC. To some his a bad man but to others he keeps the balance. In the past his had to do what was best for his club but now his bringing them out of that life of crime and going legitimate. And they have a new enemy and if they think that their club will stand by and let the new threat prey on the most vulnerable, they are dangerously mistaken. This is also the worst possible time to find and let a woman get close. But Bess is different, she's too good for his life. But he has to have her and there isn't anything he wouldn't do for her, include die.

Bess Geary is a single mother and is supposed to be a responsible person, but when is comes to Sawyer McCall she can't help but want him. His tall, strong, dominant and as sexy as hell. She knows his a bad man, she knows it but staying away from him isn't a option. He is her only hope of fighting what's happening around them. She can't afford to be reckless, protecting her own child and the kids of this town is her life.

Can Sawyer and Bess work together and fight the enemy trying to take over their town? And will she give him a chance to prove that yes he is a bad man, but in all very good ways.

This is book five in this series and it was an awesome addition. I was really looking forward to reading Sawyer's story and I was not disappointed. I mean who wouldn't love a bit Sawyer. He was everything I thought he would be and more. And I loved Bess as well. They made a really cute couple and they had great chemistry. The storyline was captivating and very enjoyable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that really interfered with the story. Overall, a very exciting and enjoyable read!

I received this for a honest review The author did an amazing job writing this story. This story had a deep meaning. This is an important and touching story. I love how the author is trying to make awareness to human trafficking.

I loved Bess Geary. She truly was an amazing woman. She was successful, strong, and had a lot of courage. Bess had worked her way up from a social worker to now the boss for the Michigan;s Department of Health and Human Services. She had noticed that there was a lot of children that were running away. This was eating at her. She was wondering why they were losing so many.

Bess had met Sawyer McCall at a party at the Great Wolves MC bar that they called the Wolf Den. Sawyer was the President of the MC. There was so much chemistry between these two. I loved how Sawyer total got her. It did not bother him that she was a single mom and carried the world on her shoulders. He admired the woman that she had become.

Bess and Sawyer will have a lot to face. There is human trafficking going on in their town. After running across a young girl they find out that the children are being used as sex slaves. This breaks their hearts at what the children are going through. Bess and Sawyer will do what ever it takes to bring the Russian Brotherhood that is behind all this down.

Bess will have a battle she will be facing with her ex-husband. You will want to reach in a slap her ex around a few times.

After everything Bess and Sawyer must go through you have to wonder if the passion they share will survive. Will they be able to help the missing children? You will find some very heart touching moments in this story. It truly brings awareness to the dangers that are going on in todays world.

I went into this not remembering who Sawyer was. I'm sure he was in the previous books, but not a character that stood out. If reading in order, I think Brax would have made more sense to be the next hero. ANYWAY, I mention this because it definitely hindered how I felt about the book. I don't feel enough was explained about Sawyer to form a connection needed to care what happened to him. I know he's president, but from what I understood this is in the same city as The Wolf Den, which we learned about in Kellan's book. Yet Kellan is the VP to Colt, so how can there be two presidents?! Or do I have it completely wrong? /confused

So the first half of the book I found myself skimming a lot because I couldn't figure out who the hell this guy was. Another problem I had with this book was the storyline. Knowing young girls are being trafficked our heroine is like "dur dur girls have gone missing I wonder what happened dur dur". Seriously?! By the time she figured it out I was completely over it. Also, at the beginning she's threatened with losing custody of her son but doesn't seem too concerned by it? No mention of lawyering up or anything. In fact, her son is barely mentioned for the rest of the book. And when the big day finally happened, my eyes couldn't roll far enough up in my head.

The final nail in the coffin is the common theme that appears in all these books (why do I keep expecting these to end differently?!) Marriage after knowing each other a couple weeks. Fantastic.

BIG DNF...don't waste your time...this book is not needed for the rest of the series.

Iam enjoying this series and this is the 5th book. The first 4 were so much better than this one was. It was too short...too forced...lack of chemistry due to the lack of time the author could have taken to add more depth to the story line and characters.

There was no character development...seems the couple was thrown together then the conversation was forced due to the poor robotic sentences.

This was truly disappointing and really written poorly. Who publishes a book with so many grammar issue and words left out of sentences..yes you read correctly...WORDS LEFT OUT OF SENTENCES...and at one point the main character was called another name by another character...if I was the author I would be embarrassed by this crap.

I skimmed through the female's POV cause for a social worker who is in management...she was just plain stupid. Girls missing...ummm...duh...the Russians...just saying woman...then she promises the main dude to call him when she leaves then doesn't...ugh I hate this troupe with a passion...

OMG...42% and about to DNF...this is so confusing due to introduction of several characters from a totally different series the author wrote...this book was an afterthought that should never had been created. This couple could have gotten together as a side bar in another book...I skimmed over the reviews to get my answer which I already know...

Just over all the worst I read out of 562 I read this year. No way is it deserving a full star it is that bad.

Great Wolves MC (5)

As with others before him Sawyer has moved on to another branch of the MC. He has become the Prez and is building his club with ligit businesses. They were having a few problems with the Russians at their gym so moved on their warehouse. They were gone but in a hurry, leaving storage units. When opened they showed evidence of human trafficking. Bess was a single mum running a department looking out for youngsters, placing them with foster carers, they were experiencing a lot of runaways. She and Sawyer met up at his club, they are attracted but Bess convinces herself this can't happen................

Disappointed

I've read several books I've really liked by this author, so I was surprised at the poor writing in this book. It just seemed sluggish, slow moving in some parts. There were atrocious grammatical and punctuation errors; commas in crazy places that didn't make sense, question marks where periods should have been and periods on a question. Continual mixups of to and too, and eye instead of aye were really annoying. Conversations between characters were stilted and contrived, not the way people normally speak to each other. The storyline is a good idea. With better editing and writing this could have been a good action-packed, bada** sexy biker romance.

Fab series

These guys are take no nonsense guys. They have fought hard to clean up their hometown. A bad element has moved in and what they are doing is putting young girls at-risk. Bess is a strong independent woman who does a very hard demanding job. Sawyer and Bess cross paths and what a path it is.

Ok

I've read previous books by this author and thought I would give this one a try. The premise is almost The same as the previous ones so it got boring and predictable. There were also typos and places where words were just left out. I just wasn't impressed with this one.

Okay, I knew a book about Sawyer would be coming, eventually. Having read the “Hold” trilogy, “Ride” trilogy, and the previous books about the “Great Wolves Motorcycle Club” (GWMC), Sawyer has been a calming and commanding presence on the edges of various plots. He's the Prez of the “Great Wolves M.C.” charter in Grand City, Michigan, and he has had a hand in what has happened with the various MMA fighters and other GWMC members. So I already had some ideas the kind of man Sawyer is, and how incredibly hot he is. It's nice to find a romance about a man who is a little older (he's 40-ish) and has some graying at the temples. He's experienced a lot in his life, been through violent and ugly situations, yet has still managed to remain a good man with realistic expectations and a pleasant personality.
Simply put, I wanted him. I wanted him for mySELF and did not want to see this day when he would find a woman of his own. But dag-nammit, he did.
Bess. I wanted to not like her. But it became obvious rather quickly that she is an awesome woman with a big heart and a can-do attitude, strong yet soft and compassionate at the same time. Perfect for Sawyer, and, I reluctantly admit, worthy of this wonderful man.
But there's more to this book than the incredibly stifling hot romance between Sawyer and Bess. This story focuses particularly on the problem of young teens being abducted and sold into sex slavery. Human Trafficking. It's something we've probably all heard vague references to, but it's not something that figures into our real lives, and it's not a big issue that anybody's campaigning about in this election year. It's just some ugly, awful thing out there somewhere. But this book makes it real.
Although fictional, it focuses on one specific thirteen year old girl who was in foster care and abducted while at a local mall. She was assumed to be a runaway, and no one looked for her. She managed to escape her captors, and plays an important role in the story.
This book also saw trouble heat up between the GWMC and the Russian Mafia, who had first started infiltrating the Grand City area in the “Ride” trilogy. It leads to an all-out war with them. There was a bit too much violence and dirty fighting in this book for my personal tastes, but I understand that it was necessary to the story.
This was a hot, well written romance, but it was also a compelling story. I reluctantly deducted one star from it because I just didn't really feel the chemistry between Sawyer and Bess. I felt their mutual interest, but I just didn't get a sense of that deep, driving need for each other that is such an important part of a romance. (I'll bite the bullet here and admit that maybe it was because I didn't want to feel it.)
But then I thought about how this book made the problem of human trafficking real to me. The topic was obviously very well researched by the author – I know because it made me do some internet research on it myself. I'm sorry to say her facts and methods are all too accurate. So then I added the star I deducted back in to bring it back up to five stars.
I'm sorry if I got a little off topic in this review – I know it's just supposed to be simply about the book. But the best books are those that make us look at our world and see it differently. This book did that for me. Human trafficking is real and needs to be stopped.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

"Sawyer" by Jayne Blue is an amazing book. It is my first by Jayne but it won't be my last. Jayne has written a phenomenal story-line and plot. It is so well written. Her characters are extremely well developed, unique and with the complexity of being quite real.
Sawyer McCall a gorgeous man, strong as steel, smart, deep within soft and leather clad. Sawyer is also the Prez of the Grand City Great Wolves MC. Since coming to Grand City Sawyer has legitimized the MC that had been there, with several honest and respectable businesses.
Bess Geary is a woman to be admired. She is strong, independent, a single mother and an advocate for all the children in the system especially with in Grand City. Bess was always in a Pencil skirt, blouse and heels. Her expected attire and she was beautiful.
When Bess met Sawyer it was at an engagement party for her friend and co-worker Cassidy. Bess had never been to a MC club and never around bikers at all. So it struck her as quite un-nerving that she was explicitly drawn to Sawyer. Bess was an upstanding member of the community but sawyer brought out a naughty said of her she hadn't expected. They didn't just steam, they sizzled.
The Russian Mob had made an appearance into Grand City. Sawyer didn't want them there bring trouble, so a member of MC tracked one of the Russians and was brought to a storage facility. During the evening the Members made a visit to the units to see what the Russians were up to what they found was horrific. In the last unit they found beds spread around the edges of the unit and each had a set of chains planted into the walls. They were into human trafficking.
As they left the unit Sawyer spotted something in the busses. He made his way over taking great care. What he found was a young girl 12-13 yrs old. The Russians had decided to use Grand City as a permanent location to run traffic through and to use by selling each young girl several times per night.
Sawyer gave Bess a call about the young girl. Bess came and picked her up and took her to a safe house for the time being.
Sawyer was in hope that burning the unit down would encourage the Russians to move on. However they followed Sawyer to Bess's home and trough a brick through the front bay window.
The MC's had gotten a great description of the man who abducted the young girl and the car he drove. So when he was spotted they took him captive and began to question him trying to find out where they had moved their operation to and where they were keeping the girls. They sent him back as a message, alive but with bruises and broken fingers.
The Mob decided they would repay bruises and broken bones with blood. The Mob appeared after the bar was closed. Only two blazed in through the door firing and anything and anyone. The Mob had done their job one MC member was dead and two others shot.
At this point Sawyer broke things off with Bess, no reason given. Then they saw to the health of the two who had been shot. The only point of interest at their meeting was to declare war on the Russians.
I was given a copy for an honest review.

I've been wanting to see what was going to become of Sawyer's love life for some time now. At the end of the Hold Trilogy, I knew it was going to be him pursuing Bess and I couldn't wait to read it!

Sawyer is the president of the Grand City GWMC and has been featured in the series relating to the GWG Fighters, such as Craddock from Hold and Mace from Ride. At the end of the Ride Trilogy Sawyer gets introduced to Bess through Cassidy. At the beginning of this book, we find out how hot and heavy they can be when they are together. Sawyer is very determined to claim her as his, but as Bess receives a call to go pick up her son, the brakes are immediately put on, and she walks out of his life.

Six months later they are reunited when Sawyer and his MC uncover a human trafficking operation run by the Russians--the ones they were hoping were gone from their city. One of the girls that was lucky enough to escape is the reason behind Sawyer and Bess being reunited. One look at the handsome biker and Bess is back where she was six months ago--wanting Sawyer more than she has ever wanted any man.

The question is this--will they be able to pursue a relationship when they are involved in such very different worlds? Or will the Russians set out on revenge take Sawyer or Bess down in the process?

So much great suspense going on in this book! You see how easily some people are corrupted by money and how it can affect the innocent. Luckily there are people like Sawyer and Bess that are willing to put up the good fight no matter the cost.

I love MC romances. This one was especially enjoyable with very developed characters that I really liked spending time with. Sawyer is not a young man looking to have fun with any woman that comes along. He spends his time operating the MC and trying to convert it to legitimate businesses. The men of the MC have more respect for women than in some of the other series. It does not mean they are not tough. When anyone they care about is threatened, they don't hesitate to take action. Sawyer is a real alpha - protective, strong, a leader - but also loving, kind and with a strong sense of honor.

Bess is a mom and heads the local social services department. She has a tough job and really has had no time for romance. When she meets Sawyer, she is very attracted but is not sure it will work between the two of them. They are leading very different lives. It takes a bad situation to make them both realize how little those difference actually mean.

These two are very passionate about everything in their lives. They love with all their heart. The scene in his office is very hot and lets the reader know quickly that these two have a connection that won't be denied.

The author does not shy away from discussing the tough topic of the abuse of children and how they are used in sex trafficking. It is an imporant issue.

Bess Geary is a social worker that worked hard to get into the position she's in now as Supervisor. Bess's downfall is Sawyer McCall Great Wolves MC President. She only has to look at him to be turned on. Sawyer almost has Bess where he wants her especially since she wore garter belts and hose just for him. Sawyer hopes to make Great Wolves completely legit no shady dealings but all that changes when they discover several cots with chains and stuffed animals. Sawyer enlists Bess's help in learning more human trafficking about what is going on in their city. It appears that The Russians have decided that Grand City should be their new home away from home. The Russians are stirring up trouble for many businesses that are protected by Great Wolves Security. Will Bess admit her feelings? Can Sawyer protect Bess? Can The Russians be stopped? Your answers await you in Sawyer:MC Biker Romance.

I found Sawyer to be deeply sexy and handsome to boot. The story and characters were handled with dignity while presenting human trafficking. I applaud the author's courage in presenting this story. I was most definitely sucked into the story from the first page to the last page. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I love to read books, in fact I read 2 to 3 a day but it's Paranormal or SciFi when I started this, realizing  by the fifth chapter that this was Bikers by the name
Grand City Great Wolves M.C Club
and not Werewolves consequently I told Ms. Blue sorry I only read Paranormal and I started on another book but I kept wondering back, so I went back and finished Sawyer. This book is Action Pack, Adventure, Drugs, Kidnapping, Betrayal, Prostitution, Human Trafficking, my gosh it has everything thing Russian Mob, Ohhh let's not forget SEX yep lots of it.  Yep this is a MUST READ Book No doubt in my mind it's a winner.
Sawyer McCall is Prez of the
Grand City Great Wolves M.C Sawyer had his work cut out for him too. His club was going legit that right as in everything is now legal. They protected there community now.
Bess Geary is a social worker and the boss
they have had a rush in missing young girls.
Except one escaped and wanted revenge. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

I have to say that I have loved all the GWMC books and Sawyer is no different. In this book we get to meet Sawyer again. He has recently moved to Grand City (we also get to meet a slew of new characters) from Green Bluff. He has helped the Grand City chapter go legit like the Green Bluff chapter. I liked his character, he was a smooth, loveable, and caring manly man. Bess is his love interest, and one of the things that I like about Ms. Blue's writing is she always makes her heroines strong and capable, and Bess is no different and I liked her character. Bess over see's the children's advocate program in Grand City. So throw two awesome characters together, add in some suspense and the mafia, and you have a recipe for success! I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. I don't give out five stars often, to get five stars from me I have to connect to the characters, enjoy the plot, and it has to be fairly believable to me....this book met all three of my standards. I highly recommend this book!

Another Great Read

I really like this series! This book focuses on the story of Sawyer, who is the new president at the Great Wolf MC club in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has the hots for a gorgeous social worker named Bess. They both clearly like each other a lot from the very beginning of the book so there's not a lot of sexual tension or a huge build up to their first time under the sheets, but they still have a great romantic story. They have a few bumps on the road to love but for the most part it's nice to see a couple who are really grown up and not playing silly hard-to-get games with each other.

I really liked the plot line about human trafficking and the author does an excellent job bringing attention to this problem in a way that is pretty accurate. The only reason I'm not giving the book 5 stars is the abrupt endings! I plan to read Brax's story and now I'm intrigued by Cassidy's character. After reading an excerpt from Hold, I've decided I've got to read this series next. I'm also in the middle of reading the Torrid series.

Good read, talented author

Sawyer is a mature man with grey at the temples. His leather is worn as is he, he has lived and seen enough to know working inside the law is best but not always possible, he knows violence is not always the answer, but when it is, plan well.
Beth is a 40 year old sexy, divorced, with a young son, a prick of an ex, and a career helping children in the system get placed in good homes.
But she is a woman and Sawyer is all man, he just gets to her in a way no one else does.
Both are protectors, and finding themselves protecting there town and the children as a human trafficking ring moves into there town. Sawyer will protect what's his and that means Beth even if he has to send her away. Beth is in with both feet fighting to save the young girls and she will do anything to do it, even face Sawyer, because he can protect the girls, the law can't. He can send her away but that does not mean she will stay. I received this advanced review copy for a honest review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another amazing biker romance! Jayne Blue takes hardcore, muscled biker dudes who are steel wool tough and turn them into strong, not so soft marshmallows when it comes to women and children.

Sawyer is no different. Moving him from California to Grand City to strengthen and rebuild the motorcycle club, Sawyer heart has been taken by Bess. In between annihilating the Russians of course who are trying to become the biggest criminal enterprise ever; Sawyer has fallen in love.

I've been waiting for Sawyer to get his own story and love interest for a long time. It's been a huge pleasure to read about the others but Sawyer has reached the top of the line. Don't miss out!! Jayne never disappoints. Each book has its own merits and are all 5 stars but I love Sawyer.

Hot from the very first page!
Bess and Sawyer are like teenagers he can't keep his hands off her, and she as no intentions of trying to stop him. It's all getting very hot and Steamy until her phone rings and Bess darts off to be with her son.

That was almost 6 months ago, and now Sawyer is brought back to her door. This time He needs her help to track some possible runaways that may have been kidnapped by the Russians.
Bess already has her hands full looking after her son , Henry. But won't back down she feels it's her duty to find and protect the missing girls.
Life keeps getting in the way for these two. But, Sawyer is a patient man he knows one day she will be his, it's just a matter of timing.
