An Immortal's Song

Rate this book
Amara Young has always been on the outside looking in. She’s the one lightning-struck woman out of her group who has never felt as if she’s belonged. She lost a year of her life caring for her dying friend, but now it’s her turn to find out who she is. Only when the time comes, two men stand in her way—two men who claim her as theirs.

Tristan Archer, fae royalty and Conclave member, has waited over nine hundred years for his fate. And now he has two chances. While one knows his path, the other seems blind to what they could have. It will take more than a simple risk for Tristan to finally have what he desires…that is if Amara and Seth can overcome their own uncertainties.

While the other two in his life are fighting themselves and their futures, Seth Oceanus knows exactly what he wants. The younger brother of a Conclave member and relatively young in his realm, he knows he’ll have to prove himself so others see him for who he truly is. As the triad succumbs to their cravings, they will have to fight more than their overwhelming feelings in order to survive.

I really love this series so it pains me to say that I just did not enjoy this book. I have been looking forward to it for awhile but I felt like this one just fell flat. First of all this book was only 9 chapters and 80 pages. Two of those chapters were about the characters on the next book and set up for that book which is usually awesome. However when it brings this book down to 70 pages it's kind of annoying. I love triads and I'm glad they all loved each other but I was tired of hearing the same stuff come from each of the characters. Also faith sometimes said stuff that didn't feel like it was her character actually talking. Unfortunately I just didn't feel the emotions for this one and made me seriously question of its worth buying the next book. This series has always been and immediate buy for me so I am extremely disappointed in just about everything having to do with this book. It just fell flat for me. I'm sorry and I am hoping the next one is better or I probably will stop reading Carrie Ann's books.

I completely enjoyed the story, it was well written, the characters were likable and the sex was hot! I mean, while we've had Angels in this story, a Merman, seriously, an honest to goodness Merman, I swooned at Seth, and wanted to snatch him out of the pages and bring him home

I don't remember meeting Tristan before, or Seth, and Amara has been away from the action as well. It had been a while since I read the previous books in the series, so it all seemed new to me, and I was a bit confused at times. Because of that, it was just a bit off for me

I like that it moved fast, I don't appreciate stories dragging things out, so the quickness wasn't the problem for the story, but I missed a bit of the spark with Tristan with both of his partners. Maybe my joy at Seth made me like him more, and Amara was very likable, so why keep no-talk grumpy pants around?

Overall though, the bond between the three was evident and they make a perfect Triad!

It was good but not great!

I pre-ordered this book thinking it was going to be as awesome as the other 5 I have read. I was a little disappointed that it was so short. The story felt likely was rushed. It would have been better to have drawn it out a little. Anyways that was just me. I can only hope that the next book will be better ! Thanks and have a blessed day!

I'm started to get bored of the series now. There is a distinct pattern that Ryan follows and it doesn't have a lot of variation. The books seems to go couple, triad, couple, triad etc. Since the last novel was a couple this one is a triad. And as the past triads it is made of two men and the female main.

I didn't find this book overly compelling which is too bad. I was interested to see what would happen with Amara. Throughout the other novels a rough upbringing was heavily eluded to and she seems to be the caretaker of the group. So I was excited at the idea of her finding love and being taken care of for once. But I just couldn't bring myself to care very much about the characters. And without the main stary arc to wind it all together I felt like her story was just tacked on.

Cursed so that she is blocked from her triad she has to overcome the person who cast the spell. The book is full of angst from all three as they struggle with the fact that their bond cannot be complete until the foe is vanquished. It was easy enough to see where the story was going.

On top of that Amara's story was interrupted a few times by Eliana's story to set up for the final installment. While the stories always organically followed one another this was the first real interruption and it took away from Amara.

Just one more novel and I can let this series rest.

Lighting struck but no bond?

Amara selfless enough to give up a year of her life to care for her dying friend. Always on the outside looking in - never really fitting in- this is how she felt in her heart. Really enjoyed getting to know her.

Tristan & Seth - these two are filled with determination to make Amara hers even though she feels no bond only attraction for them.

This was an enjoyable story a bit of twist with the mystery of the missing bond.

An Immortal's Song

This book was just a little different from the rest. I loved it. Amara had a rough life so she never expected things to work out for her. Tristan wants her and Seth. These three are so amazing together. I loved how the guys always put her first and made sure that she knew they would always be there for her with a bond or without. I can't wait to read the last book in this series.

an old curse

Amara meets Seth and Tristan, and can’t figure out why they stare at her. Seth and Tristan feel the mate bond and can’t figure out why Amara can’t. Amara wants them. She becomes a Siren and they find out the current queen cursed her lineage. Can they find away to reverse it? Will they be able to have the bond snap in place with going to war? Come on in and find out. Come see if Amara will get the family she always wanted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
An Immortal's Song is an emotional slow burn with a complex triad that pulls at the heart. Amara’s outsider status makes her relatable, and her connection with Tristan and Seth is intense and tender. The inner conflicts and personal insecurities feel real, and the bond between all three characters grows organically. It’s a mature, passionate addition with big emotional rewards.

I have had these books for I do not know how long and finally decided to read them. Wow, what I was missing out on. They are entertaining and very easy to read. At times I felt like I was there with the characters trying to help in situations. Laughing was also a part of my reaction. Great paranormal love stories.

The premise of this story was solid, but the execution was not. There was no real character building; there was no relationship building; these three fated mates just became a triad and ran into problems. I’ve enjoyed this series for the most part so far, but this book was too rushed and flat for me.

A lot shorter than the others. And focused more on Seth and Tristan and that out me if too considering it’s suppose to be about the 7 females. Plus adding chapters on a short book for the next book just made it seem even less

My least favourite of the series so far

Love how each of these stories have such strong women. The pairings cannot be so different yet wonderful. No matter how hard I try I can never figure what the girls will become. This series was amazing.

Late bloomer

Short but good. There were a few typos that bugged me, but otherwise awesome book. This falls solidly in my "read again later" category. Hot & spicy, fated (sort of), fantasy, poly romance with M/F/M & M/M, swords cross.

This installment felt a little more rushed than the others. The characters were great though and I love the development that Carrie Ann Ryan managed to squeeze into it.

It was good I wish there was more of this story.

This story was good but seemed a little rushed I would have liked to see the triad build on their relationship more.

A solid addition to the series, but not the best. The three main characters were okay, but not riveting.

GREAT!

A different book from what I normally read. But two hot men and a woman. What with Fairies, Merman & a Siren. Can’t wait to read more.

Tristan, Seth, and Amara face more challenges than just trying to merge three lives into one. Overcoming a curse may just only be the beginning of their struggles.
