This paper is a full account of the testing and analysis of hemp stalk as part of a larger investigation into the potential of its use within construction. The paper analyses the stalk’s structure, describes methods of loading employed and provides the results of all data gathered. All loading tests were undertaken within the Department of Engineering, Cardiff University. All analysis was completed by the author.
