One Man. One Night. One dark fantasy that could change her life forever.

The wheels came off my life slowly at first. This is saying something, because it turns out they weren’t screwed on all that tight to begin with. I thought I made all the right choices. But, life has a funny way of coming along and flattening you every so often no matter how smart or ambitious you are. All of a sudden, I found myself out of a job, out of a husband and out of time. Then a shocking encounter with a powerful billionaire gave me a second chance to turn it all around.

I told myself all these things as I sat in the back of a stretch limousine. Just outside the car door was an unassuming bungalow painted yellow. I was here for work. A probationary assignment of sorts. Once the car door opened, the rest of my life would start.

A man and my future waited for me somewhere inside that house, beyond the front door painted in festive red. Scarlet. A fitting color for what he wanted. For twelve hours and $100,000 he would own me. Just how much was I willing to give to this sexy, dangerous, perfect stranger? The answer might shock even me.

Just one night for a small fortune that could change everything, if I had the courage to walk through that red door.

This is my story. Don't try this at home.

Owned by the Playboy is the first book in the sexy, sensual, often humorous adventures of call girl, Nina Sharpe. Nina’s stories go places you won’t expect. This is not your typical romance.

Nina Sharpe is NOT your average Call-Girl!
She is way more awesome...
I'm like the Steve Jobs of blow jobs…always looking to innovate...
When I read the blurb on this book and saw the "Steve Jobs of Blow Jobs" quote, I knew this book was for me. How could I possibly pass up an invitation like that?!?

This was a fun blend of erotica and light humor,
it has an amazing lead female character,
& it sucked me in immediately.

This is not the usual call-girl story we're all familiar with. Generally these women are forced into high-class prostitution by dire circumstances and spend the majority of the book feeling guilty about enjoying whatever sexual experiences are inflicted on them...

Not the case with The Offer!
Our beloved call girl Nina could certainly use the money - I mean who couldn't? She's offered a million dollar annual salary... That's a lot of zeroes, and certainly worth consideration.

Nina is not a desperate twenty-something looking for easy money in the sex trade. She's closing Real Estate deals for the rich and famous. Nina might have struggled a time or two - she raised her little sister alone from the time she was eighteen - but she always comes out on top. She doesn't merely survive... She thrives.

Meet Nina Sharpe:

Nina's marriage crumbled in the wake of her husband's gambling addiction. Now newly single and in her thirties, she's starting over. After closing the biggest deal of her life, she's offered an interesting position by her mysterious client...

Side note: Petra Vallin (the client in question) is one of the most intriguing secondary characters I've read all year. She's every bit as pragmatic and driven as Nina, and has built lucrative empire shrouded in mystery. Nobody quite knows how she became so wealthy...

She carefully cultivated her call-girl business with a ruthless business mind. Every situation is planned; her clients are as thoroughly vetted as her employees. She matches her clients and employees based on mutual tastes.

Petra makes Nina an offer she can't refuse - One night, one client, one-hundred-thousand dollars. If she doesn't like it, she can walk away.

The reader follows Nina as she thinks over this lucrative offer, and eventually finds herself on the precipice of a brand new life...

Along the journey we learn more about Nina's life and motives, we're treated to several superbly written sexual situations, and lovely humor.

The following conversation between Nina & Dodger (her personal Chauffeur/Bodyguard) had me cracking up. See, Dodger listens to Nina's sessions and is ready to burst in should a client get out of hand. In this scene he asks Nina to come up with a safeword to let him know she needs help:
I thought for a moment. "What about your last name? What if I just called your name if I think I'm in trouble?"
He nodded. "Good plan. My full name is Will U. Anal-Fist-Me."
Yeah, that's my kind of humor...

Did someone just discover a new awesome series?

Hell Yes!
This book was fabulous.
I can't wait to follow Nina as she embarks on more adventures.

I really liked this. Life starts out sucky for Nina, which requires her to grow up quickly and raise her teenage sister. Now she's 35 years old and her marriage is over because her husband has ruined her credit and owes a lot of money to gambling since he lost his job.

When Nina goes to stay with her sister once she's decided on a divorce, her life an career take a drastic turn. She's approched by a client with an interesting offer . This offer changes Nina's life. Now what happens next is another story...

I liked it. Didn't love it, but it was concise, funny in parts. I was a little confused as to why she got fired from her partnership. I think there are other ways to cut costs then to fire one of the partners that they seem to have aggressively recruited, and her suspecting that they blackballed her. There has to be more to that story.

I would love to continue reading the series, but $0.99 is too much for how short the novella's are. If it was a full book that had a low cost and was all about her escapades, then maybe. Until then... I have enough to read already. But I would definitely reccommend.

Talented writer Jayne Blue’s THE OFFER is a novella I couldn’t put down. The story came alive with heroine Nina Sharpe’s struggles for self-preservation while caring for her younger sister and her children. Years before, having fought off her mother’s boyfriend, Nina began waitressing after catching him in her sister’s bed. Now in her mid-thirties and working as a real estate agent, the “giant boulder picks up speed” in Blue’s words. With too much financial responsibility to be flattened, Nina accepts Petra Vallin’s offer to work as a high end call girl. What Nina wants is power, and she gets it along with a steady high end salary.
Any reader will need an icy cold drink to tamp down Jayne Blue’s scene with Jack, Nina’s first client! Not naïve, Nina’s “manager” makes her feel safe with gynecological reports and birth control. Trading on her Marilyn Monroe looks, Nina choses clients from a list. THE OFFER is erotic, and if this is what you want, this book is for you. It’s awesome, and I look forward to reading the sequel, THE MOGUL.

The concept was totally different from what I thought it would be. I almost didn't get this book because of the cover. But since it was free I got it. I really was impressed with the quality of the writing.
A breath of fresh air. Good character development. Not too hot, not too cold. Just Right!!! Congratulations to Jayne. Eagerly looking forward to the next in the series.
I really love that we got peak at Jack from Torrid Trilogy

A book about call girls? No way was this going to be something I would read, women utilizing sex for money is not my cup of tea. But as I read further into the story it was not about your stereotypical call girl.

Nina was not a twenty something female and desperate for cash. She was a 35 year old successful real-estate agent that had built everything she had accomplished from the ground up. Even after her ex-husband, Brad, ruined her credit and stability. That was the moment in the story that I absolutely developed a great deal of admiration for her.

More often, independent heroines rarely make it into any story. And I have read plenty of books where the heroine is a weak minded female who needs rescuing, or a man to take care of her, and those are the ones that generally become best sellers. So reading a book with a very strong female lead untterly won brownie points from me.

And when you think call girl, an extreme amount of sex and a multitude of partners is the first thing a reader might think of because that was the first thing that popped into my head before beginning the book. However, I was disappointed to find out there were about 3 to maybe 4 sex scenes throughout the entire read. The sex scenes did not lack in any department. They had me slowing down to drink in every detail and occasionally making me blush and feel like some high schooler hiding in the bathroom with the door locked, reading something forbidden.

There were scenes in this book that I could relate to and once again I had to set my kindle down and recreate that scene myself! This book captured sex scenes as they were in real life; there were no outrageous scenarios, just two grown people caught up in the moment.

The casualty of the intimacy and the pure lust was what got me going. The heroine was familiar with sex, of course, but the temporary falling in lust with someone was a high no one ever touched base on. These books usually lead to love stories and happily ever afters, it was refreshing to see that Ms. Blue captured the essence of was sex is, pure lust.

Sex scenes aside, this story was refreshing. There was no damsel in distress that needed a billionaire to save her and “show her the ropes.” This first book had me on the edge of my seat and proud to be a woman. I cannot wait to read the next one and hopefully, FINGERS CROSSED, there are more steamy sex scenes for me to blush about!

Ms. Blue had me squirming in my chair, not to mention occasionally having to put my Kindle down to go find my fiancé…wink wink.

Surprising!
I expected this to be just an erotica scene set up but was genuinely surprised when I liked it!
This book focuses on the protagonist Nina Sharpe who is in the midst of relationship woes and money problems. Nina proves her aptitude while brokering a real estate deal and receives an offer from Petra Vallin a ‘Human Resources Manager’ to become one of those resources.
Petra doesn’t consider herself a Madam but someone who is talented at aligning people’s needs with capable suppliers. She feels that Nina has potential. Nina agrees to a trial and the story moves from there.
I found myself liking the characters in this short story and wanting to know more. The author is talented at helping you understand the confusion and motivations that drive the complex characters. A very solid performance from a great Author.

This is another author I will be adding to my reading list. This particular story drew me in fairly quickly and kept me reading until the very end. The characters were well defined although some better than others in this particular book. The language works perfectly to make the people seem like anyone you might meet on the street.

Nina lived in a home with a mother who was not there for her or her sister in the most important ways. When a boyfriend of her mothers makes moves on her and then seems like he might move on to her sister so she makes sure he cannot. In the process they end up on their own and have to survive. After years of scrapping by she finally has a good life, but thanks to a man it all comes crashing down. It's at this low point she receives what could be a very lucrative offer.

I would definitely recommend to lovers of hot stories.

More than just an erotic novel, this book is a genuine story with strong, empowered female characters, clever and sometimes funny dialogue and well crafted imagery. The erotic scenes were not overly intense or worded in that flowery way that many blue novels tend to be, but just the right combination of sexy and believable. Though short, this is definitely a fun story that I would recommend to anyone looking for a short, spicy little book to read on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

In the first of a new series of novellas by Jayne Blue, we meet Nina, as she is being man-handled by her mother's latest husband. Nina successfully fights this one off of her by an elbow to his nose. When he tries the same thing with her younger sister a few years later, Nina's mother throws her out, and goes after the husband. So at 18, Nina is now struggling to support her younger sister Natalie and herself. After a string of waitressing jobs, one of which was performed in a bikini, shooting a calendar and lingerie ads, Nina has finally made a name for herself as a successful realtor. Unfortunately, for reasons which are incredibly confusing, she is fired from her semi-partnership position at the realtor firm. She has also just left her husband of five years after she found out he had lost his job and spent all of their (her) money on gambling. She is now broke. So, Nina moves in with her younger sister Natalie and Nat's two children- autistic Drew, and Grace. When Nina's final real estate client propositions her for a job as a very, very high paid escort, Nina takes it. She meets her john (Jack) for one night at his pleasure. Nina realizes that she likes sleeping with men for money. She's good at it. The high salary ($100,000 for the first guy- $1,000,000 for the year) doesn't hurt either.
While this is a series, this book can (and should) be read as a stand-alone. The writing was okay. Nothing new here, and while it was billed as an erotica, I wouldn't agree. To me, it seemed a step above a typical romance novel. For $.0.99, I wish I had gotten more for my money, which is why I'm happy to stop at this first story. If the next few were cheaper (or free) I might consider reading more, but I'm good.

Jayne Blue brings us the a quick hot read in this Novella - the first in the Call Girl, Inc series. We meet Nina, she has had a bad way with life - her father leaves them and is never seen again, then her mother's boyfriend tries to molest her then her sister, the only thing it seems that her Daddy left her was how to fight. She is a fighter. When she finds that her husband has gambled away their savings plus a whole lot more she leaves him quietly. I suspect this may come back in further installments. She moves in with a sister that she is helping support after he own abusive marriage. Shortly, after closing the biggest deal of her carrier, she is down sized and let go from her real estate job. The only good thing about this is Petra Vallin, has an offer to make Nina, that she would be a fool to refuse.

She becomes a high priced call girl, Petra is a strong dominate woman in her own, and has a keen business. As she helps turn Nina's life around, one bit at a time. Nina realizes that this is a business with a ton of benefits.

If you are looking for a quick hot ride, here you go. I'm hooked. I look forward to seeing what happens in the future.

Nina has been fighting all her life for her happiness and that of her sister.
When she thought everything was going as planned, her husband had a huge gamble problem, so she left him. Next to that she got fired from her job.

But there is the offer, the offer she got from one of the last persons she helped buying a new house. An offer she has to think about, but says yes to. She becomes a very expensive call girl. And in this book are after all the trouble as an introduction, the meetings with her new boss and her first time with a client.

That night is described so hot it is worth the wait. It was such a turn on to read how he takes care of her and lets her enjoy her first night as a high class call girl in an very erotic way. Loved the way it is written down. Only pity the scene in the kitchen didn't happen.

I like the way the story is written, with humor in it despite all the bad things happening. And I also like it that it is a whole story. There is a next part, but this is a finished story. Looking forward to read more in these series.

I read this as the offer, but it now has a new title, owned by the playboy

I don't know why I always tease myself by reading these short, "books"! This is yet another one of those, "books" that is actually only a few chapters long. This is yet another one of those where the author sucks us into the story then ends it way too soon, requiring us to spend more $ if we want to to see what happens next. This book does not end with a cliffhanger, we get to hear about the MC's first experience in her new prostitution career but no more. I don't think I have ever given one of these, "books" 5 stars but I did for this book because it was very entertaining, very well written AND the author did succeed: I will be hunting down the rest of the series and buying it!

This was a great read. A bit of a departure from Jayne's WLUV series, not what I would classify as romance, not yet anyway! But this novella, is just the introduction to the series to come. I'm loving the main character Nina. She's strong willed, a bit emotionally detached, sexy as hell, but you can tell she has a romantic side buried somewhere. She's traveled the road of hard knox, being abused by her mother's boyfriend at 13, leaving home 16 sixteen and caring for her sister. Through all of that has still managed to have as great attitude. Looking forward to reading about her adventures to come. I would recommend this book.

This book was an amazing suprise. I wanted to start a new kindle book to help me fall asleep, but I finished it. The main character reminds of myself in so many ways. I loved living vicariously through her.
I still have a lot of questions about Jack and Petra, but I actually love that those questions weren't directly answered. I do hope to learn more by reading the rest if the series and all of the author's future books.
The book was a bit like my favorite movie, Pretty Woman, but quite possibly better. My only complaint is that I want more.

Pretty Good

The Offer by Jayne Blue is about a tough as nails, smart-mouth young woman down on her luck who decides to become a high-end call girl. I love Jayne’s style of writing. The story was perfectly paced and was not bombarded with sex like other eroticas, which is one of the reasons why I do not read them. This book had a real storyline that a reader can get into. A definite good book to read.

I just read The Offer by Jayne Blue, and all I can say is that she is the writer we all want to be. Her characters are well-fleshed out and believable, and don't we all deserve a mentor like Petra? My only problem with Jayne is that I was hoping for some errors in her book, grammatical or otherwise, so I could offer my proofreading and copy-editing services, but I'm over that. She either is already covered, or her skills encompass that stuff as well. I am blown away!

Holy crap I loved this! Funny. Witty. Smart. Oh and super sexy! Nina Sharpe is my new hero and I hope Jayne Blue has more on the way like this. Nina is a high priced call girl with a bod for sex and a brain for business. This book is sexy but not dumb. A rarity in my opinion. Is Erotica Hen Lit a thing? If it is this is the gold standard. Maybe Jayne Blue invented it. I highly recommend it.

In The Offer, Jayne Blue initiates the reader to Nina Sharpe’s Sisyphean struggle. As the boulder of Nina’s failing marriage and financial turmoil threatens to run her over, she is made an offer, one that is both indecent and intriguing. Now Nina must decide whether she will accept the terms and explore a world of sexual service or refuse and try on her own to hold back the accelerating stone.

Blue applies familiar standards to this erotic tale: initiation, domination and a four-post bed. But her treatment and her intelligent writing refresh these mainstays. Nina is an original character, not the young dilettante so often presented in erotic literature. And Nina earns this offer.

Blue’s greatest strength is her prose. The Offer transforms from words on a page to a movie playing in the reader’s mind. Blue builds to a climax that teases you along with her protagonist as Nina takes her tentative first steps into a world of bondage, fetish and forfeited freedoms.

This first novella will certainly entice the reader to plunge deeper into Nina’s world.

I downloaded it on my phone from Amazon because it was free, but man, oh, man, I was so surprisingly hooked by it! I really loved Jayne Blue's writing, so elegant and so simple at the same time. I liked the way she presented Nina's background before going into the sex scenes. Everything seemed in place and flowed really well. Now I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series, 'cause I just have to find out what Nina does next! She's an awesome woman and a perfect heroine for an Erotica series. Ana Steele can just suck it, for all I care. Nina is the woman! :D

I loved this story

Mostly I loved Nina. She was a very fun character.

Ninas life is A-typical to being bore of a self-absorbed mother who cared for her boyfriend more than her kids. But her rough start in life didn't stop Nina from being a successful realtor, but her five year marriage to her husband and his gambling habit did.
After leaving her husband and moving in with her sister, Ninas life takes yet another blow when she is fired from her high paying real estate job. Now what will she do?
