Falling in love with your best friend can feel like a dream come true, that is, if it’s meant to be. When Cassie Hollander spills her guts to her very straight best friend, she doesn’t get the answer she wants, and even though she knew that would probably happen, she’s still crushed. She’s used to hiding in the shadows, masking her true self and pretending to conform to a life that doesn’t fit her. Everything happens for a reason, and in Cassie’s case, being rejected by Jessica Taylor was the catapult she needed to get her life together in more ways than one. Come along as Cassie figures out who she is, where she’s going, and how wonderful things happen when you open your heart to the chance for real love.
I grew up in the small towns and big cities of Texas, and moved West right after college to find my calling and my people. For the last twenty years, Seattle's been home, though I just recently cast it as a character in one of my books.

Nice read! 3.5stars for this insta-love lustful series
The first time I tried to read this book, I only got about 10% in before I bailed. This time I managed to make it to the end. The beginning is a bit rocky, but it evens out after a while. There was a lot of head-hopping, but the characters communicate well and the drama factor is fairly low.
This is kind of a spoiler but..,
I’ve been mulling this since finishing the book and it struck me that every single woman in the entire book starts off with guys. Every. Single. One. There are no demis, nobody who just opts out while they figure things out, no women who are confident of their orientation. It would have been nice to see an FF relationship or someone coming out as lesbian without the plot twist *every time* being the fact she was with guys before. It happens sometimes in RL, and of course there are bi and poly people out there, but the default setting of “date guys until you absolutely can’t anymore” gets repetitive fast.

Oh dear - just too angst, too inter-woven between 3 women- just found it awkward and not a pleasurable read. Jumped about between chapters. Sorry, not for me.
I loved this story from the get go. The way Cassie opened up to Jessica about her feelings and Cassie's journey about learning to love. It was a beautiful story. I loved the characters and hope the author will consider a sequel about Jessica's story. More stories please !
These 2 so belong together. The cliche story of one who is in love with her Best Friend but life just proves time again that people are more than capable to move on when they embrace “failures”. Cassie deserved love; and she found it in Rachel. They often say that it’s paramount to be at the right place and the right time, one has to grab life’s opportunities and may all who are hurting take that leap of faith like Cassie did. She ended up just where she she is meant to be.
Another great book by AK Rose. The characters were great and well written and I really liked that they got together early in the book and the rest was showing their relationship.
