Received in exchange of a honest review by the author.

So I am now doing this:

Why? so many shocking moments where I went

We pick up where one left off. They are on their way to find out more about how to stop the cycle and the history of the goddess and king. Jayse is as sweet and kind as ever and Michelle is coming in her own. She is confused on her feelings for Jayse and Dastin. Dastin I was always wary on as I am Drea. They seriously are up to something. and they keep landing in Michelles path.

When Michelle gets derailed of the train who is where she winds up, wolf, Drea and Dastin. Granted they help here get to her next destination but still it is suspicious. And Drea is not very nice to boot. there is a backstory there that we get a little look at.

So once Michelle meets up with Jayse, Gediyon (he’s my fave after Jayse) we learn more about the cycle and what was done before and what must be down now to stop the cycle of the moons. I went like this here:

I mean that is just so what???? Michelle and Jayse are now knowing they are in a rock and hard place. how do they make such a decision especially Jayse where we see his growing feelings for Michelle I mean at the end what he proposes when he decides to make the ultimate sacrifice I was all

Jayse had me this way throughout the book with his little loving sweet gestures towards michelle, his mom and his love and loyalty to his people and gediyon.

so we just learned some what the news that has you:

Because we get some really big shockers. LIke during the tournament we learn more about Gediyon and Drea but also we see some bad juju with purple eyes that in the end we see again on Dastin..which gets you wondering what is up with the eyes...I mean Dastin kind of at the end foretells about them but I don’t trust the dude. Especially when during the tournament he tells Michelle something which she should not have kept I mean it truly to me was dangerous and I went:

The news from Dastin shocked me but Michelle keeping it for so long was worse for me.The tournament gave us lots of danger and action. We see Gediyon and Drea fight it out and really get a look at Gediyon and who he is.

From the tournament on the group is in danger galore and when we have the caves that really what Michelle and Jayse go through is just not good. Especially Jayse we see his character shine even more. We first see this at the shrine/house of worship where they learn of their fate but throughout we get glimpses of a kind, caring, great man who genuinely cares for those around him but for Gediyon and Michelle there is a special place in his heart.

In the caves we see dastin make a decision and turn in a more dark way and you wonder more about Drea especially since you know she is holding something back. Michelle is coming more into her powers and showing strength but for me it is Jayse who has made the most growth. After the perilous caves, thank you Adelle I was already on the edge of the seat but that had me almost fall off, we are off to where we really get the shockers. We are at Jayse’s home. Michelle is learning the place of the fourth moon so that they can evacuate the people out of that area, but the shockers here are just wow...

First we have the talk of Michelle and Jayse’s parents you seriously wonder if you are reading correctly. I mean Jayse has shown so much promise and potential and than you read that. This is where I gain more respect for Michelle because she stands up to them. So after this moment we have the mother of all mother moments coming. Jayse and Michelle discover something about the king and it has you go:

Once his revelation is revealed the hits of shock keep on coming. Poor Gediyon and Jayse. Jayse loses so much in the ending of the book. After our king shocker Jayse gets a moment where you just want to hug him... You are like...

All the shocks and emotions that Adelle has brought about to this point will need you needing a breather. but we aren’t done because Adelle gives us more and they aren’t minor ones either and she leaves us hanging at the end with the Michelle and hatrid deal that has you going

After the tumultous time at the dungeon and up in the castle where Jayse gets shocking sadness, Dastin decides to stick the knife in further and really hurt Jayse but also Michelle gets hurt by him. What Dastin reveals will have you going:

this book is full of adventure, danger and shockers. there isn’t a moment where something is revealed. Jayse and Michelle but especially Jayse give us some sweet moments as well where we see there feelings for each other but the book is one of revelations. It is well written and emotionally driven. So many secrets and moments that have you hanging and leaving you with questions. Characters you once liked you now question. We see Jayse grow and become one you love more and feel for as well. You see emotions get muddled over how to feel towards Michelle because of some of her actions. Gediyon you feel for as you do Wolf. Drea and Dastin be wary of.  You say goodbye to a loved character and hope to see them again. revelations that have you reeling and an ending that makes you need to take a breath and step back from the cliffy.

A great middle book that has you reeling at the end with the cliffy an all the revelations and intriguing moments full of danger and secrets. Truly a on the edge of your seat book having you need more and wanting the third book asap.

The Sequel of Maddening Fate

I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the sequel to "The Cycle of the Six Moons," and I think that I even liked it more than the first book, The Starriest Summer.

Picking up where the first book left off, our heroine Michelle has decided to remain in Starrs as the Goddess, swamped by duties of preparing for the Six Moons set to destroy Starrs. And boy is that ride not pretty.

I found myself most drawn in during the tournaments, being a fan of action and conflict, but what really drew me in was the allusions to Gediyon's past. He was and still is my favorite character in the series because of his loyalty, calm demeanor and his mental strength despite his splintered memories, and there is still so much that I want to know about him. He pleases me to pieces.

Michelle as a character has really begun to grow on me. She's really beginning to come into her own self, and I hope that she continues to mature a bit more. Jayse and his imposter have many ties to her that carry throughout the story, and continue to provide thorough support. And Dreana has now become more of a main character.... But I'm not sure yet how I feel about her personality and her feelings for Gediyon. It seemed a bit out of nowhere. But I'm certain there is more to them waiting to be uncovered.

And the ending of this book... Oh my GOSH, the last forty pages will completely tear everything on its head. I won't say how. But it's a literal page turner! I'm looking forward to the final book soon!

AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN is book 2 in The Cycle of the Six Moons trilogy, and I believe it can be read as a standalone, although some things might seem vague, it worked for me. It is a fantasy, and definitely on the young side of Young Adult. Our young heroine Michelle, fifteen years old, is officially Goddess, and her worries multiply as she is not entirely sure how her newfound powers work. She is on her way to a city of scholars to learn about the lore of the Cycle of the Six Moons. She’s travelling with a few companions, among them Crown Prince Jayse, when the train they’re on is derailed, in more ways than one.

Michelle finds out too soon that training to be Goddess is not what it’s cracked up to be, as she learns what it entails, and I must say it’s rather shocking! AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN is a universe bursting with colours, and the author adds just enough details to paint a clear picture without going overboard, and the tone is positively that of a teenage girl, the dialogues also ring true. The beginning of the book sets the scene for what we’re up for, but it’s when Michelle is told about The Six Moons that the author really captured my attention. The worldbuilding is extraordinary, and utterly fascinating, and Michelle has her work cut out for her, and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. I somewhat expected AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN to be somewhat akin to The Hunger Games, but not at all.

It’s a good thing that Ms. Yeung inserts some amusing tidbits – often about food or featuring the awesome Dreana – because otherwise AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN would have been very dark indeed: there quite a bit of violence, blood, and nasty surprises, as Michelle finds out. I like how the author seamlessly blends an utterly fantastic world with everyday things that are as familiar to us as they are to Michelle at home. I thought the character of Jayse, while sympathetic, was a tad flat, while Michelle is a real firecracker; she is not perfect, but she is a great heroine. I must admit that my favourite character is Dreana: she is something else, the complete opposite of Michelle, and yet they make a good team! I also very much appreciated that, while AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN obviously belongs to the Teen-Young Adult category, Ms. Yeung remains realistic in the depiction of her characters: not everyone of the “good guys” is flawless, and I liked that a lot.

I was however surprised that there is a third book in the series, which I did not expect from the onset, and AN ECLIPSING AUTUMN ends on a cliffhanger, and what a cliffhanger it is, with plenty of astonishing revelations before that shocker! Book 3 will be a doozie!

This book was just FANTASTIC....

Ok. I've got a lot to say. Beware!! Mild spoilers ahead

The first book was an average one. So, I wasn't sure what I'd encounter in this one. But I was astonished as this book really stood out. This book was fast paced and in just like around 200 pages, there were a lot of turn over of events. The author has done some great plotting work. There were loads of surprises and spectacular moments due to which I was glued to the book till the end. Even though some of my friends did not like the first book much, they should give this one a chance. It might change their opinion.

The climax was breath taking!!!

I was almost in tears by the end.

It all happened so fast that I didn't have any time to comprehend. At the end I was like

Michelle I didn't like her much in the first book but as the story has proceeded, she has matured and turned responsible. I've started liking and respecting her after the decision that she took in the climax. She has begun to prove herself worthy of her role. She even fought well at times and the description made it all the more enjoyable. I appreciate the change in her. I’m excited to know what happens with her ahead.

Dastin The Prince Imposter’s true identity is revealed!!.....He has made quite a few appearances and now I’m all the more excited to know more about him. He’s always been a mysterious character. At the same time he one attractive character. I still have my queries about him though. Hopefully the next book will offer a better insight.

Gediyon He was the center of attraction during the Tournament. He fought the Mysoichs with great valor. The whole description of the championship was cool and made it very easy to imagine all the scenes. I was completely engrossed in the fight.
Gediyon has a dark secret which is yet to be uncovered. I still don’t get what’s going on between him and Dreana. Dreana’s been acting so much not like Dreana lately.

Jayse I don’t know what to make of him. In this book he always seemed lost as if he’s being harassed by inner demons. He made certain silly and rash decisions which I hadn’t expected of him. He was being quite kiddish the whole time. It felt as if Jayse and Michelle has switched places.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot and I think that it could be read as a standalone. But the first book adds a better insight to the story.

This book was amazing and I loved it!!!
You just gotta read it.

( I received a digital copy of this book. Thanks to Adelle Yeung !!)

BRO I AM S O B B I N G RN. IVE NEVER CRIED THIS HARD OVER A BOOK OR MOVIE. I JUST CANNOT. This is a really amazing book, and is full of amazing moments with incredible detail. Overall this is an amazing book, and a MUST-READ.

Michelle is a lot less irritating in this book, and I LIVED for the Jayse and Michelle moments. I was so freaking happy when I found out Dastin was alive, I was not having it in the first book. Hella mad about the ending, though I can't wait to read the last book!! I really don't know who to ship though... I feel bad for Dastin even though he's really cool, but I absolutely love Jayse and how gentle he is. I love the brothers for different reasons, so it's really hard to choose. <3

Bam! Young goddess Michelle is off running in the sequel to The Starriest Summer.

If you read Adelle Yeung’s previous book, you know that Michelle has opted to remain in Starrs and serve as Goddess. Now traveling along with Gediyon and Jayse and a team of friends, she’s on her way to Dissett to repair the temple there.

In the first few pages, there are train fights, kidnappings by monsters, and reunions, and much much more. Michelle never catches a break.

Spoiler alert: the Prince Imposter yet lives!

And as one might expect, he’s only around just long enough to remind us that Michelle is not/totally is super duper attracted to him.

After a bit of traveling (and maybe a little heartache? Maybe?), the ever bubbly and ever hungry Michelle splits away from the Imposter and his unusual friends and arrives in Dissett, also known as Hiesan.

In repairing the temple, Michelle learns a great deal about her powers—and her fate. It turns out that our upbeat heroine is in for a difficult decision. To make matters worse, it’s either her life or Jayse’s on the line. As their feelings for one another bloom, they struggle to come to terms with the sacrifice that must be made. Will they be able to escape the death that awaits one of them?

There’s no time to think about it, as in the middle of performing in a festival play, the pair are stolen away for yet another adventure. The ever loyal Gediyon will be able to save them from harm, right?

All of the drama comes to a head in this book, and believe me when I say it is a whirlwind.

Michelle starts to grow up a little, and while she remains the bubbly girl we followed in the first book, she finally seems to develop an understanding of her position in this world. The hints of flirtation from the first book blossom into romance as Michelle grows and learns…not that our Goddess ever has a free moment to spend with her beau!

Phew, I need a moment to catch my breath after this one.

If you enjoyed The Starriest Summer, definitely catch this book. With yet another beautiful over and enthralling story, An Eclipsing Autumn earns a solid B rating from me!

An Eclipsing Autumn is the second book in Adelle Yeung's Cycle of the Six Moons. The book picks up directly after the last one, making me feel like I never left the world of Starrs.

The world that Adelle Yeung has created in her Cycle of the Six Moons is beautiful and rich. The history we learn in this book is a detailed on that left me wanting to read a book about the first cycle. With each new place they visited I fell a little more in love with Starrs than I had been, and I liked many of the towns and people even more in this book than I did in the last.

The story is fascinating, and has a great many reveals that I didn't see coming. Old characters like Wolf and Dreana make reappearances and play larger roles in the story than in the last book and many of the new characters introduced are just as lovable. I loved the growing romance between Jayse and Michelle. If you want to make me like a couple have them write letters to each other, it works every time, and in An Eclipsing Autumn it did just that.

With the twists and turns in this book came character growth and I was glad to see Michelle taking up a little more responsibility in this book, if you've read my review of the first book you'll know that initially Michelle's attitude irritated me, and I'm so happy to see her growing. Both Jayse and Gediyon had chances to shine and grow in this book as well.

Second books often fall into a trap of being a little boring, but this book doesn't. It's got a swift pace and the important information is relayed in an interesting way. And the ending. Oh my goodness the ending! Let's just say I'm going a little crazy not knowing what happens next, because I have got to know what happens next!

Overall An Eclipsing Autumn is a solid addition to this series and a great read. It pulls away from the video game feeling it had in the last book and has a solid fantasy flow to it through the whole story. If you enjoyed the last book even a little bit I highly recommend you pick this one up.

Note: I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my fair and honest opinion which I have stated above.

In this book, we continue to follow Michelle in her variety of misadventures in attempt to become the goddess everyone expects her to become. The book picked up immediately after the previous one, which is a little disorienting if you need a refresher. I don’t think it would be possible to start with this book without reading the previous. As in the previous book, there were a few scenes that you just have to roll with it and accept the situation. I know that some may find this annoying, but I enjoyed hearing about new areas of the world.

The characters definitely do some growing up throughout the story although it is clear that Michelle still plans on getting her own way with some things. I loved hearing more about Gediyon’s story, but I am quite nervous to hear how that fits into the bigger picture. There were a lot of reveals at the end of the book so there is much to come!

Warning: Contains some violence.

Who should read it? Folks who have read the first book, otherwise it’ll be confusing!

The Cycle of the Six Moons: An Eclipsing Autumn picks up where the first book (The Cycle of the Six Moons: The Starriest Summer) ends, and boy does it not lack in the action and adventure department. Miss Yeung, once again captures the mind and spirit of a fifteen-year-old girl in Michelle, in her thoughts and mannerisms as she continues her mission to end the Cycle of Six Moons before all is lost in the world of Starrs, while introducing the reader to creative cities and characters.

New places are explored, friendships deepen, the mystery surrounding Gediyon thickens, and a huge twist or two at the end will definitely have you begging for the next book in the series to be released. I recommend this book to all who enjoy sci-fi fantasy, magic, and loads of adventure. Just be sure to read The Starriest Summer first.

When I first read the synopsis of The Starriest Summer and found out that video games were involved, I expected it to be along the vein of Dragon Age. Instead, I found the adventure to be more like Aveyond. It was rather good and cute. Michelle might have been annoying at times but I factored in her age and her belief that Starrs was just some location in a video game and the Cycle of the Six Moons was just another quest that she needed to complete to finish the game. Even though she accepted that this was no mere video game in the ending, I still didn’t feel the gravitas of the situation.

In An Eclipsing Autumn though… wow, it sure escalated fast.

If you like the first book, you are going to love the second.
Right away Yeung starts the adventure off with some fast pace action as Michelle and her friends continue their journey to end the Cycle.
This second book out of the trilogy digs deeper into the mysteries of Starrs, but while our author reveals more about her characters, more questions arise!
Snuggle up with your warm beverage under the covers or sit outside in the warm sun sipping your iced beverage as you enjoy the second book in the Cycle of the Six Moons.
Enjoy!

This second installment of The Cycle Of Six Moons series didn't disappoint. We get to see more of the characters we've already grown fond of. More importantly, the story increases in intensity and action. While still told from the perspective of Michelle she is growing and learning more about the world and the mythos she has found herself in. The story is darker, more heartbreaking and all together more exciting. I will be counting the days until I get to read the third book.

Michelle Round 2

Definitely was left at a cliff hanger and will be eager to read book three. There are only a handful of series I've ever read because they are unable to keep me captivated throughout and often become predictable and boring. So far I have not found this the case and it's even odder considering this is not my typical genre. (I read it for a friend of Adelle Yeung's that I learned tonight likes brie.
