Well, this was kind of boring. Maybe I expected too much? those stories were random... And developing one story from culture to food was poor, as if the author was inventing a story just to present the food. The receipes were poor also and it's not because of lack of the products during those time ( I spent long hours talking with my mum about those times and cooking especially) but they were sort of the same all the time. The only thing I've learned from this book is that the people (or only the author) used a lot of this stock from powder - it looks like this product was very common during communism.
I expected something more, more history and more culture.
