Afghan Warrior: SEAL Team Six stories of Valor in Afghanistan; War in Afghanistan 2001-2014

Rate this book
The U.S. Navy SEALS have spent the last ten years on a constant war footing going from war zone to war zone. Form Iraq to Afghanistan then back to Iraq and Syria, Libya and other hot spots around the word. The tempo since 9/11 for all Special Forces has stepped up exponentially as the Global War on Terror has gathered pace. None have been busier than the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group more commonly known as SEAL Team Six. Now famously known for Operation Neptune Spear, the raid Osama bin Laden’s hideout. Finally capturing and killing the allusive al Qaeda leader in 2011. Afghan Warrior follows these heroes in action in Afghanistan in some truly amazing stories of bravery, brotherhood and valor. As the book takes you through some hard-fought encounters from the densely-packed warren of walled compounds that doubled neatly as enemy bunkers, lush orchards to high up in the rugged mountainous border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Fighting an enemy with years of experience of fighting occupying forces.

Good stories

The navy seals have been in plenty of stories of different missions especially Operation Neptune Spear with the killing of Osama bin Laden one very good mission where no navy seals where killed or injured.

Surgeons

I have enjoyed reading many books on the different wars the U.S. have been involved, the books written by the warriors themselves have always been the ones I enjoyed the most. This book made me feel lucky I hat we have special forces to protect us as their missions are always the most dangerous.
