Who do you trust when you can't trust yourself? Having discovered who was behind her abduction, Samantha Campbell is still haunted by what happened. Memory lapses and a nagging suspicion that the cabin was only the beginning means Sam needs answers. Her only problem? The one person who might have them still wants to kill her. With Mack unwilling to forgive himself, and Blake refusing to let her anywhere near his brother, she must find other ways to piece together her missing time line. Hoping that returning to Tonbo's Islands will help, Blake and Sam are horrified to learn Kory's treachery runs even deeper. Ancients are missing, Kate's disappeared, and the worst part is Sam feels she may be responsible. She's willing to try almost anything to know what her other half has been up to, but with each new discovery, she slips deeper into something she may not be able to recover from. Driven by the need to set things right, she's thrown into a web of lies where she realizes she can't trust anyone, least of all herself.

Born in Dekalb, Illinois, Amanda Strong has called Utah, Arizona, Hawaii, Virginia and now New Mexico home. Amanda has been spinning tales since she was a child. Her family still remembers finding young Amanda with her bright pink glasses, hiding in random corners of the house while scribbling away in one of her many spiral-bound notebooks. You could say that some things never change since Amanda is still writing today. Amanda began her writing career when she uploaded The Awakener, her first full-length novel, on Wattpad where it received over 430,000 reads in four weeks. She was blown away and humbled by the reader support and feedback she received. Because of The Awakener's success as a non-published book, she was asked to talk on 1400 KSTAR about her story.

In September 2013 Amanda Strong signed with Clean Teen Publishing for publication of The Awakener, which is scheduled to release in late October of this year. The Awakener is the first book in an all-new young adult paranormal romance series called: The Watchers of Men.

When Amanda isn't writing, you can find her chasing her three rambunctious children around the house and spending time with her wonderful and supportive husband. On some occasions you can still find Amanda with her not-so-pink glasses, hiding in a corner reading her favorite young adult fantasy novels or working out only to blow her diet by eating ice cream.

Ahhhhhhhh - the end of this book leaves the reader NEEDING more and needing it quickly!! The author picks this book up right where book 1 left off and the pace she sets is breakneck! The reader is frantically turning the pages to see where the author is taking this book next!

Sam or is it Sammy has a plan....Kory has a plan...Blake has a plan....and all of them interfere with the others...whose plan will work? What will happen to the dragon fae? Is the world ready to know that there are things that exist that they can't see? Will the dragon fae take over the world?

The author does an amazing job of grabbing the readers attention and never letting it go - they feel like they can't stop reading for a second or they will miss something. This is one of those books that you read it so fast that you immediately start to re-read it when you finished to see what details you missed in your frantic struggle to find out what happens next!

Grab book 1 (it is currently free - Hidden Monsters) and jump onto this epic ride! You won't be sorry (except that it ends)!! Set aside plenty of time because once you start reading this you won't want to stop! Enjoy!!

This is the follow up to Hidden Monster and what a journey it takes you on. I wasn't really sure what I expected when I started this series and now I am hooked and can't wait for book 3.

The story is unique and has you questioning HOW they are going to solve some of what seem to be impossible questions.

It is SO hard to review this without giving away spoilers as many of the amazing things are just that so you are just going to have to trust me when I say you need to pick this up!

Right now book 1 is free too so those that haven't jumped on board for this crazy ride can do so at no risk. Well go on then- what are you waiting for?

A well earned 5 out of 5 stars from me! V""V

This series is amazing!! Sam realizes her sister Jocelyn is hiding something from her so she goes back to the Island to see if Tonbo will help her get back her memories of when she is Sammy. She learns that Jocelyn is in love with Korey... Well that's probably not good... She ends up finding a way to pretend she's Jocelyn and find out where Korey is keeping all his defenders and what his real plan is. But there is so much at play here that Sam doesn't understand!!! And it involves her other half Sammy.... So much happens between Blake and her and Kate and Jaxon and even Mack... And the end was... Scary... I don't know what's going to happen now but I'm afraid of what the outcome is going to be. Now I need to read the final book!

So 3.5 stars rounded up mainly because of the ending. I enjoyed how things are going. I really want her to end up with Mack, not Blake but knowing how I was team Jacob also that will not be the case. I am interested to see how this ends. I will say this book is a bit weird of all the twists and turns.

Maybe closer to a 3.5 rating. It was good and I enjoyed the inner struggle for Sam/Sammy. As well as seeing not everyone is what they seem.

Read my full review at http://blackwords-whitepagesteenya.bl...

This book started off where book one left off, but I felt as if this story didn't have as much action in it as book one did, don't get me wrong though, it did have its surprises and twists and turns. This book had a lot more ground to cover and back stories in it to keeps us up to date on what really happened in the the story. I must say the author did an excellent job doing that without making it boring. I loved the original characters and got to meet some new characters along the way. I was shocked to see where the author took this story and was totally surprised with the ending. I am still intrigued and interested enough to see what happens in the next book. It was phenomenally well written and I highly recommend it, but you must read book one before even attempting to read this one.

Clean Teen Publishing provided me with a digital ARC copy of the book for review purposes only as part of the Clean Teen Publishing Elite Reviewers. No remuneration was exchanged.

Inner Demons is the follow up book to Amanda Strong's Hidden Monster. This book picks up right after the end of book one. Samantha now knows her duality but understanding it is proving more difficult than she could have imagined. She's plagued with doubt and questions. Blake is still there to love her and guide her but it's not enough. Needing answers, she embarks on a quest to get those answers, trying so many avenues, but the more she learns, the less she knows. IS Sammy good or bad? Is there a bigger picture she's missing? How can she find the pieces to her puzzle? In her quest for knowledge, Samantha uncovers secrets, plots and well, a big mess. Follow her journey of self discovery and learn more about her world.
Great character development, splendid twists and turns while still having a steady flow to the story line, a natural progression that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew and begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Love it!

Inner Demons is the second book in the Hidden Monster series.
We pick up not long after book one, Hidden Monster, has ended. We are with Samantha as she has now learned the secret everyone was keeping from her. Samantha is coming to terms with all that she has become. It's as though she is three people; she is Samantha, Sam, and a mixture of both as a Damsel.
All the while she is trying to come to terms with her divided love of Mack and Blake and her fear/hatred of Kory and Jaxon. She is actually the only real hope with this growing situation!
Lots to take in! This is such a dynamic story!
I especially love the twist that we are thrown in the end! Amanda Strong is so good at getting the story all nice and lined out, then you thrown this massive curve ball! I love it!
Can't wait to see what happens with Sam in book three!!!
