Jackie Ivie was born and raised in a suburb outside Utah's capital, beautiful Salt Lake City. The second in a family of four daughters and one son, Jackie was constantly amusing her siblings with her invented games, escapades, and stories. And she was always reading. She would even walk the family dog, with one hand holding the leash, while the other held the ever-present book. No subject went unread, but once she discovered Historical Romances, there was no doubting her favorite genre.
Jackie has always been the busy type, rarely sitting still without being occupied in at least one activity, and usually more. When she was younger, it was nothing to find her watching television, while doing her homework, listening to music, crocheting like a madwoman, and reading, all at the same time.
After graduating, Jackie gained secure employment with a large service company and relocated with her growing family to the neighboring, sparsely-populated state of Wyoming. She then spent several years enjoying the wildlife, scenery, and open space that Wyoming is known for. In addition to writing, Jackie is an accomplished artist in several mediums, preferring mixed media. She has several pictures in print and has exhibited in art showings throughout the West. There was never anything she loved doing more than reading, however, and once she discovered the thrill involved with putting her own words and fantasies on paper there was no stopping her.
In 2001, Jackie and her family took a huge step and moved to the largest state of the nation; Alaska. Although it was her job that brought her here, Jackie has grown to love this land of amazing contrasts, breathtaking vistas, and the ever-present resident, the Alaskan moose. There's nothing else like it, and the very long days of summer lend themselves to hours and hours of energizing tasks, while the long winter nights are just right for her real love...writing.
Jackie has now written thirteen novels and is continually starting more. The thrill of writing has now been enhanced by seeing her actual story in print. Lady of the Knight is her first published work. It will be followed by Tender is the Knight scheduled for release this summer.
I either didn't remember or never put the two together but I did this time. The catch phrase is We Kill for Profit. It just dawned on me that Akron's last name is Profit. Doh! Liked this book and hope that Athelerod gets his...soon! Thank you!
"You Both" by Jackie Ivie. Book 29 in the Vampire Assassin League series.
As always, the addition to the VAL series is short, sweet and to the point but the cover is a little bit deceiving. I was actually expecting a completely different story but I liked it nonetheless. It actually surprised me.
This story is about Ethelstone and Stephanie. Ethelstone is the twin to Athelrod and they have been together since the times of the Vikings...considering they are Vikings. But when Ethelstone meets Stephanie and realizes she's his mate, everything changes.
The banter is always fun to read in these books. A lot of action packed scenes in this book as well. Very funny as well. Always a fun novella to read when you need a quick romantic fix.
This can be read as a stand-alone, but much more enjoyable when read in order. After having read each and every one of the books in the series, I am thrilled that the author can still take me by surprise. This story had humor, action, vampires, and steamy romance. The hero has depths we have not seen before during his appearances in other books. A reporter, the heroine gets way more involved in her story than she ever planned. If you enjoy humorous vampire romance, I recommend this story and the series as a whole.
Ok so why give this five stars it's because this woman is the best at what she does. I feel so sorry for the other twin (that's right not giving it away) you have to read the book to find out. But I will say that it broke my heart a little to see the emotion. My hero and herione was excellent for each other as always and to know that you are loved by someone so completely is magical in itself. So come on and get this book and see why Jackie has my undivided attention whenever she comes out to play. I love it Jackie Ivie another hit in my book!!!!!
Luckily, or unluckily, Jackie's VAL books are short. Luckily because whenever they come out they hijack my TBR pile; unluckily because I love them so much. This one is fantastic as usual. The interplay with the twins is a nice addition but Stephanie and Ethelstone definitely steal the show. You absolutely must read this one. But please Jackie, can Akron get his HEA soon.
I am not giving a name but....the twin needs his mate! I was so sad to see what happened with the twins relationship but was happy to see one of them mated. Jackie you wrote another great story. Oh yes the birth, wonderful. Thank you for giving info on that. The vampire league become real to us because of Jackies writing and it's always a joy to see how they are doing.
Ethelstone and Athlerod are favorites of mine. I wondered if they would share a mate and what would happen if they didn't. A bitter sweet story. Loved Stephanie. An investigative reporter, who is assigned to research the VAL. Etjelstone is assigned to answer her questions. Athlerod tags along and when he realizes his brother found his mate, things get ugly. A fun fast paced and steamy story. It's baby time for Tekeshi and Christiana.
This is one of the best books in the series oh my goodness it is so good it has definitely got my vote for the top story of this year. I don't know how Jackie Ivie will be able to top it. I've always thought that when one of the twins found their mate it would be very interesting and boy was it. WOW
so what happens when twin brothers take a reporter on a trip and one falls for the beauty . and one is enraged . what will happen can the brothers come to terms with one being mated and one not and what of Nigel and him becoming a grandfather . and with no less twins or is it more . find this and much more when you buy read and review this and many other books by Jackie Ivie
Five stars.....one of her best Vampire books....... Love the twins......this one has lots of surprises if you are a fan of the other 28 books. Can't get enough and can wait for the next one......the brother......
I have to say I am torn within this book. I was happy that a mate was found but unhappy that it was for only one twin. The ending was spectacular in that the babies were born for Tackeshi and Christine. Overall another great story from Jackie.
