Scarlet’s been a little too tied up to meet her true mates. Actually, she’s been getting reformed... in prison. Now that she’s free, she’s sworn that she’ll leave her old life behind. She’s got a steady place to live, a good job, and she’s minding the rules of her parole.

Maybe she’d be more convincing if she didn’t immediately sneak out of the house and head to The Den, a rough shifter bar. That’s where she meets two smoking hot, totally irresistible wolves, lies about who she is, and ends the night with quite a bang.

Wolf shifter mates Gavin and Chase have been on the straight and narrow for years, though they weren’t always so squeaky clean. On a night out at their favorite bar, they meet Sarah, the shifter woman of their dreams. They’re held hostage by her gray eyes and dangerous spark, and they can’t resist her, even when she disappears without saying goodbye. They have to find her. She’s the one, their fated mate.

That is, until Sarah shows up at Gavin's office. Except Sarah’s real name is Scarlet, and she’s on parole - and that makes her Gavin’s newest charge.

Can Chase and Gavin forgive Scarlet’s lies - and forgive her for who she used to be? Or will Scarlet fade back into her old ways, losing her mates and her freedom in the bargain?

Uncaging Wolves is a steamy MMF romance about two mates, the woman they love... and the irresistible heat between the three of them!

It took me a minute to remember who Scarlet was, to be honest. Then when we get into the first chapter and I remembered what she had done and that she is getting out of prison for it, the light went off. Ding! HAHA.

I felt for Scarlet when she got caught for following her father and to be honest I was happy to see her get her own story. She deserved a happily ever after. Dakota/Roxie did not make it easy for her for sure. Falling for her parole officer isn't something that is going to be easy for Scarlet let alone Gavin. Then you add Gavin's mate Chase who has his own sketchy past with the law you have a real love story.

This was a terrific story and I am excited to read the last book of the series.

Uncaging Wolves, book four in the Shifter Country Wolves series.
When Scarlet Reynolds is given an early release after four years in prison, all she wants is a chance at a normal life on her old farm with her brother Trevor and his mates, but when she becomes restless, she heads into town to a nearby bar called The Den to spend one last night before she has to meet with her new boss who was a prison release requirement. Parole officer Gavin Demoya is out for the night, watching his mate Chase play with his band when he spots the sexy shifter and heads over to offer her a drink. When the pair get into a confrontation, Gavin spots her watching Chase, and offers to introduce them as a peace offering. When asked, Scarlet goes “backstage” with the men, but she gives them the false name of Sarah. One night of passion and Sarah flees back to her farm, hoping to leave the pair behind her, but fate has other plans when her new parole officer is none other than Gavin. Will the guys be able to forgive her for running when they discover who she really is? And will Scarlet be able to stay out of trouble from now on?

Scarlet was a terror of a girl who followed and believed in what her farther said unfortunately that led her to jail and having a long hard look at herself and now she has the chance to show her brother, family and the town she has changed. Not even 24 hours after being released from prison Scarlet sneaks out and has one hell of a good time with 2 hotties Gavin and chase but gives them a false name and expects to never see them but yeah that didn't work out so well. We see not only Scarlet try and settle back down into life but also Gavin and Chase work out whether they want to take the chance on Scarlet and then how the 3 of them get to know each other and find out they really aren't all that different. I loved seeing some old faces in this book and seeing where they are at now as well as how they really are a support system for each other no matter what.

This book had a nice, fresh story. Scarlett was on her first night out of jail when she met Gavin and Chase. Their first encounter wasn’t smooth, but it was steamy. Their problem came when Gavin realized who she was and that she was his parolee. That definitely complicated the story. I enjoyed seeing these three tread though the waters of a new relationship and touch on some tough things that can happen to someone just released from prison. I think this was my favorite book of the wolves series so far.

So the 4th story in the wolves saga brings us back to Scarlet. We first met her I believe in A Bear's Secret (Shifter Country Bears Book 5) as the sister of Trevor. Let's just say she has come a long way. This book got me right from the start and I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of picking it up right before bed. That'll teach me! I'm looking forward to the next and final installment in the Shifter Country Wolves book. This time I'll be sure to start it well before bedtime.

Scarlet is getting out of prison finally. She goes home with her brother and his two mates. Scarlet is unsure of herself. Has she really changed? She sneaks out and goes to a bar, see Chase playing in a band then almost punches Gavin. But there is an undeniable attraction. She runs after having glorious sex. The guys search for her. Gavin has a new parolee coming in, surprise, it's Scarlet. Gavin is hesitant in pursuing Scarlet because of her past. Some time passes and Chase goes to see her. Read on to find out how it all comes together for this triad. Loved the book.

Remember the almost-revolution in Cascadia, when the FBI was all over the place? Now, four years later, the girl who tranquilized that agent in the woods is out of prison on parole.
And what does she do on her first night out? She sneaks off to a shifter bar, where she meets two hunky wolves and almost gets into a fight.
Not the best beginning for an ex-con.
Can she turn her life around and maybe even find happyness?
Well, read and find out.

Roxie Noir really delivered in this book. She captured my attention from beginning to end. Her story line worked amazingly with the characters in her book. The book actually plays with your heart. You laugh, you cry, you get mad, and then your heart breaks and Roxie puts it right back together. This is the workmanship of an exceptional writer. I would suggest you read her book "A Bear's Secret" in order to understand more about why one of the characters is the way she is. You don't have to read it, but I think it would shed some light. If I could rate this book with 100 stars I would. I highly suggest you read this book if you are 18 years of age or older.

Scarlett is being released from prison on parole. She is going to be living with her brother Trevor (wolf shifter) and his mates Austin (bear shifter) and Sloane (human female0, and her niece and nephew (wolf shifters). Plus she is going to be working at a local bakery in town. This is all part of her parole requirements. She has yet to find her true mates and she wants to leave her old life behind and start over She is restless on her first night home and she sneaks out to a club where she meets two of the most handsome men she has ever seen. Not wanting them to know her name she gives them a false name and hides her prison tats from them. She then proceeds to end her night with with pure ecstasy.

Gavin and Chase are wolf shifters and they happen to be mates. They also have been on the straight and narrow for years, though they weren’t always on the straight and narrow. They are at their favorite bar when they meet Sarah, the shifter woman who they think can complete their triad. After finding out that they can't ’t resist her, even when she disappears without saying goodbye. They have to find her. But there is no trace of Sarah and then one day Sarah shows up at Gavin's parole office. He then finds out her name isn't Sarah but Scarlet. Since she is on parole that makes her Gavin’s newest charge.

Will Scarlet be forgiven by Gavin and Chase for her lies? Can they forgive her for who she used to be? Or will Scarlet fade back into her old ways, losing her mates and her freedom in the bargain?

No secrets given away in this story. You have to read it for yourself. ARC free book given for an honest review.

This was probably my favorite one to date - and it was probably the least graphic (usually those two things are diametrically opposed). I really liked that their problems seemed "human" - even if they aren't - and that it took a little time to overcome the personal obstacles before being able to form a triad.

Loved that Chase was rock-star hot and damned good, but played guitar on the side for fun; having a real job (Search & Rescue Coordinator) was more appealing...especially given his past. What I did not like was how he and Gavin hooked up while I almost put the book down since that is a terrible abuse of power - fated mates or not.

I mean, they were able to hold out on Scarlet when things weren't all that on the up and up, when they weren't sure things could go any further and definitely afraid it wasn't going to work out. Gavin should have abstained with Chase as well. . *shudder*)

One interesting fact: Yes, marigolds do have a meaning (passion and creativity*) and are associated with lions and the constellation Leo. Given Scarlet's affinity for astronomy, I hope that is a sign for what shifter might be next to fall in love & find a mate in the series. I know it's going to be about Sam (the wolf tattoo artist that inked the flower over Scarlet's prison tats), but maybe we'll get some feline shifter action this time for one of his mates? In addition, the marigold can represent grief - so using it to cover up a prison-inked wolf, I like to think that is her way of apologizing for the hate.

There were quite a few grammatical errors in this book...incorrect pronouns, weird sentence structures and other odd editing mistakes that I never noticed in the other ones. Maybe I didn't care enough about those to bother noticing, but because I liked this one so much more I was sorely irritated by that.

Otherwise, yeah. Decent MMF story (even if there was no MM other than touching and kissing) and I think I'm actually looking forward to the next book.

Roxie delivers another steamy triad story!

We meet Scarlet Reynold at her parole hearing where after 4 years of being in prison she is granted parole based on her being a “model prisoner” and the fact her brother is willing to take custody of her. She is in prison due to the fact she followed when father lead the “lupine cause” to forcibly gain wolf rights with a battle plan to take over Rustvale, Canyon City and Cascadia itself and fostering a hatred of bears and humans. Her brother Trevor is mated to Austin (a bear) and Sloane (human) who all work to make her welcome in their home. Besides a place to live Trevor arranged for a job, car, phone and her first parole appointment.

The first night all on the ranch turn in early as they will also rise early. Scarlet is “itchy” so visits a local bar The Den to have one free night before settling down. A band is playing and she and the sexy guitar player Chase lock eyes repeatedly. A sexy man at the bar Gavin offers her a drink after coming up to her, startling her and causing her to spill her drink. One must always watch your back in prison. Scarlet gets confrontational with Gavin who is the last one to get into a bar fight, but Scarlet triggers something in him. Gavin sees Scarlet eying Chase and offer to introduce them. When Chase is finished with his set he comes to the bar where it becomes apparent he and Gavin are mated. Intrigued Scarlet goes backstage with them but offers a false name Sarah, and after a sizzling romp slips out on them.

Gavin and Chase know she is their true mate and spend the weekend searching for “Sarah” using all available resources. Gavin is surprised on Monday when his new parolee Scarlet is none other than “Sarah”. Can a parolee and parole officer ever make things work, and can Scarlet continue to change and stay out of trouble?

I continue to enjoy Roxie’s triad stories. The dynamics between those in the triad remain well-written and steamy. The extra connection that is written into these relationships makes this series irresistible.

UNCAGING WOLVES-A STEAMY ROMANTIC STORY.

This story focuses on; Scarlet, a sassy, gray-eyed beauty, ex con-she-wolf. Gavin and Chase are stop-your heart gorgeous wolf-shifters, mates, looking for their female mate to complete their triad.

What you’ll find in this story; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, fantastic story-line, dynamic vivid scene descriptions, phenomenal banter, gripping suspense, gut-wrenching moments, family love, emotions spiral, skyrocketing toe-curling sensual romance, and a melt your heart conclusion leaving you wanting more.

Scarlet not even a day out of prison, sneaks out of her brother’s home for a night of fun. She goes to the Den a shifter bar, meets Chase and Gavin, lies to them giving them an alias name. When Gavin finds out he is her parole officer, he writes her off thinking she will never change. Gavin hands her over to another officer as he feels the conflict of interest and does not want to see her. Chase and Gavin are miserable without her, and are at a loss of what to do; Scarlet begins her new life, but aches for the two wolves who don’t want anything to do with her.

WOW-SPECTACULAR well written creative read by a truly gifted author. Could not put this book down, as it had my full attention from beginning to end, a most entertaining read and I loved it. The interaction between the characters is believable as they spring to life with the fabulous dialogue, and powerful scene descriptions. This is a heart-melting story and the author shows that people really can change when they put their soul and mind to it. The romance between Gavin, Chase and Scarlet sizzles and is filled with unwavering devotion. If you treasure shifter romance this is a terrific book for your library. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book.

Roxie Noir ROCKS the Paranormal once again! I look forward to reading her series and she never disappoints me. This book was really different and in a good way. I love different.

First off to you NEED to have read the other books in this series to understand what is going on in this book? No you do not BUT if it were me I would want to read the first 3 books because A they are awesome and B you will understand more and appreciate this book more. Now on to this book.

Scarlett is getting released from prison on parole. WHY you ask or rather HOW did she make parole should be the question. She gave the government all the info she has on her father, brothers and group that they created to overthrow the established government....which was why she was in prison to start with. Meanwhile the curvy parolee is sent to stay with her brother and his 2 mates A bear and a human and to work in a bakery with a human. HUMMMM this should be interesting.

Scarlett decides to sneak out her first night home and she goes to a bar and meets to hot guys, Gavin and Chase who happen to be wolf shifters. They end up all three hot and heavy between the sheets. Scarlett gives them a fake name and gets out the next morning.

When she has to meet her parole officers she is in for a huge surprise when she walks in and discovers it is none other than Gavin. Talk about fate and talk about strange. Can they work through this AND do the guys even want to considering who she is and her past? This book has me thinking I knew the answers and then changing my mind. It was not only a great book it gives you so much to think about in today's society too. It is well written and the characters are very well developed. Can't wait for my next Roxie fix. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

another triad happy! scarlett has been in prison for four long years. a troubled teen she knew nothing better then to go along with her father, but when the big plans fell apart and she got sent to jail as a result she started thinking about everything. her first few months weren't easy and she rebelled where she could. later on she realized the error in it all and eventually flipped sides and told them everything. this meant a shorter sentence for her and after four years she was up for parole on good behavior.
her brother stepped in so she'd have a place to stay and the local bakery offered her a job. she was anxious but relieved once she set foot in her brothers house, even if it was filled with a triad and her nephew and niece. her first night back into civilization is hard, she can't sleep so she decides to go out, wanting a taste of normalcy.
at the bar she spots Chase on stage and not much later Gavin makes his way over to her setting off all her inner alarms, bells and whistles. what almost resulted in a fight turns into a lot more once chase joins them and it's clear that chase and gavin are together. after some very heated moments, summer can't handle the intense feelings and flees the scene under the guise of freshening up.
the men are oblivious to her disappearance but a day later so much is revealed, so many feelings hurt and a lot of time has to pass before all of their wolves get a say in the matter!

this was a rather emotional one to read, so many prejudices about ex prisoners arise, some more valid then others. but sometimes a past is just that: a past. people can change! but that is up to gavin and chase to find out.

another awesome installment in this series, one you can't miss!

I just finished reading Uncaging Wolves (Shifter Country Wolves Book 4). As with the rest of the series it was GREAT!! But what else could you expect from Roxie Noir?!?!
I am hooked on this series! And cannot wait for the next one to be finished! Scarlet was sent to prison for 4 years after she did some REALLY bad shit with her parents when she was younger. She became a model prisoner after two years of raising hell and is released on parole. Her first night out, she decides she needs to go out and relieve some built up tension/anxiety. She goes to the next town over and notices the guitar player in the band on stage, scarlet cannot take her eyes off of him, and he seems to feel the same way. Gavin, Chase's the guitar players mate, startles her and she almost starts a physical fight with him, and she drops her drink. Gavin ends up buying her a new one & when Chase finishes on stage with the band for the night, he joins Gavin and Scarlet. She tells them a fictitious name and runs away after they have wild sex in the back room. The mated men have a feeling she completes their triad and they want to find her, but are having no luck since they unknowingly don't have her real name. Scarlet goes to meet her parole officer the next morning, who turns out to be Gavin. How does it turn out, do they forget about her because of her past??? You'll have to read it to see!
I gave this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Do you have a dark secret in your past? 5 GOLD WOLVES

her itch had never felt so scratched. RAWR!!! WHAT A HO-O-O-WL OF A STORY!! This story had me laughing, crying, cheering, growling, cursing and oh so much more! Gavin & Chase are two FURTASTIC characters that are just so... so... so PAWESOME! I can't think of other way to say it! They're hot, funny, hot, sympathetic, and HOT!! As for Scarlet... well she is definitely one strong & PAWMAZING woman who had me wanting to hug her & help her in every way possible, while also making sure I don't startle, surprise or anger her! I want to say so much more, about her family, about how proud I am, how FURRIFIC the guys are, but I don't want to spoil anything for you! I will say that I laughed a lot, but I also cried a lot during this story, both happy & sad, but tears all the same. I ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY LOVE Roxie's Shifters!! I love how they get their own personality, or their WOLFALITY, I should say. The visuals I get as the story plays out in my mind are sometimes so hilarious!! I have read every book in this Shifter World of Roxie's and have loved every single one! But I was still surprised to have such a deep & emotional response to this one! I have never ever experienced anything like Scarlet, but yet I felt connected to her, living her story with her. Until Chase & Gavin came along that is! Then I was more than happy to experience the story AS Scarlet!! wink This is all due to Roxie's FURNOMENAL talent as well as her SHIFTACULAR gift for crafting stories that I completely lose myself in, time and again, no matter how many times I read them!

i read this book as part of an arc program. In this fourth book of the Shifter Country Wolves series, Scarlet has been released on parole after serving four years for her part of her father's plan to take over the government and she will be living back at home with her brother Trevor and his mates. On Scarlet's first night home, she sneaks out to a bar in search of some fun. When Scarlet gets to the bar, she sees a handsome guitar player in the band and they make eyes at each other. When another man comes up to her, he scares her and Scarlet wants to fight him. Gavin doesn't want to fight her and he asks if he can buy her a drink. When Chase, the guitarist, finishes playing, he comes over and Scarlet learns they are mates. When they invite Scarlet backstage, she goes and they have a great night. Scarlet leaves and goes home while the men think she is in the restroom. Both Chase and Gavin want more and think she is their missing mate, but Scarlet told them her name was Sarah and didn't leave a way for them to find her. When Scarlet meets her new parole officer, she is shocked to learn it is Gavin. Gavin now knows who Scarlet is and what she has done, and both Gavin and Chase have to decide if they can trust Scarlet has changed and if they can be with her. I love this series and i really liked this book. I like how Chase and Gavin really thought about being with Scarlet and really considered if she could have changed. Scarlet really wanted to be better and knew her father was wrong in his teachings. I like how Scarlet had a second chance and how she really grew as a person. Another good one in this great series.

Scarlet has just gotten out of jail after serving four years. She's determined to put her life back together and be a better person. On her first night out she goes to a local bar and meets two hot wolf shifters. Using the name Sarah, she hooks up with these two then dumps them and slips out the back hoping to never see them again. On Monday, she gets a surprise when she meets her parole officer. It's one of the men from the bar...

Gavin is mated to Chase. While at the local bar where Chase plays in a band, Gavin meets Scarlet and knows she's the one to complete their triad. After a rough start, they hit it off and then they all three hit it. Afterwards, Scarlet goes to the bathroom and never comes back. Gavin is devastated and spends the next day desperately trying to find her. Then she walks into his office, his parole office. He finds out the hard way who she is and what she has done. Can her get over Scarlet's past? Can they find happiness?

While playing in his band at the local bar, Chase looks across the room and sees her, his final mate. He and Gavin have a single night with her before she disappears. After looking all over for her, Gavin finds her in the worst possible way. Can Chase forgive Scarlet for what she's done, despite all the pain it caused? Being a parole himself, you would think he could understand Scarlet better than anyone, but what she did is hard to forget. Can he find the love and happiness he deserves? Can he find it with Scarlet despite her past? Read to find out.

Oh my god. I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did!

So Scarlet is Trevor's sister from A Bear's Secret, where she was a part of a terrorist group before being sent to prison. When she gets out, she is sent to live with her brother and his bear and human mates. Wanting a night of freedom she goes out on the town and has a wild night with Gavin and Chase, who don't know who she is. However she then shows up at Gavins office because he is her parole officer, which throws a spanner in the works.

Gavin and Chase met while Chase was an inmate at the prison where Gavin worked, so they know a fair bit about how likely it is that she will go back to her old life. Which obviously scares them a little, because you know, terrorism. Not good.

And when they pull away, Scarlet starts her redemption story, which was a good portion of the book. They weren't a part of each other's lives and I really liked that. Scarlet needed time to learn and grow as a person before she could commit to any kind of relationship. And I think that is what I liked the most about Uncaging Wolves, because it gave the characters the time they needed to mature and become ready for a relationship. And it means that when they are ready, they can jump in without fearing the worst.

Another thing I loved was seeing some of the characters from the Shifter Country Bears series. Overall this was an awesome book, and it was also a really nice way of bringing some closure to Trevor's story as well. Seeing their family reunite and move forward was awesome.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Genre: Romance, Paranormal, Shifter (wolves), MMF
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Yes - Book 4 of the Shifter Country Wolves series
POV: Scarlet, Gavin, Chase
Steam Level: Quite Warm at times
5/5

Uncaging Wolves is, at its core, a redemption story. For fans of Shifter Country Bears series, we rejoin a few characters while Scarlet redeems herself from her ugly past. You don't have to have read the book where we originally meet Scarlet and her brother but it's fun if you have. Scarlet, fresh from prison, goes out for the night, has good time with a mated pair, lies about her name, and disappears - only to find out that one of the guys is her PO. who has seen too many "changed" people go back to jail.

I love the intermix of personalities, the questions of whether or not people really can change, and the very real observation that everyone has something dark somewhere inside them. You feel Scarlet trying to remain positive and stay out of jail but also her loneliness and feelings of being adrift. Uncaging Wolves a heartfelt novella that makes you think about your actions and how who you surround yourself with plays a role in some of them but also how your choices and decisions also affect your actions. Beautiful and poignant. Definitely a lesson more people should take to heart.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Uncaging Wolves is the fourth book in the Shifter Country Wolves series. Scarlet has just been released from prison, is trying to adjust to the many changes in her life she’s going to face, and just wants a night of normalcy. Going to a bar, she sees two wolves that catch her attention, one rockstar that soothes her rough edges, and his mate that loves to rile her up. After a one night stand, Chase and Gavin think she’s the one for them, but when Scarlet shows up and Gavin is her parole officer, the men think they got it wrong. Scarlet just wants to show that she’s different, but she struggles. Will she go back to her old habits or can she prove she’s changed and get her men?

This book was honestly quite emotional, hooking into my heart and twisting at times, watching Scarlet, Chase, and Gavin try to figure out their relationship, if there even is one. I loved Scarlet! She was such a strong fighter, but so unsure of herself and if she had truly changed. While her family believed in her, the two people she really needed didn’t at first due to their own pasts and experiences. Chase and Gavin were laidback and fierce, sympathetic and determined, but what I loved most about them is that they couldn’t stop thinking about Scarlet, even when they thought it best to leave her alone. Once I started this book, I could barely stop until the book was finished! I really enjoyed reading this book and have loved reading this series!

This is book 4 in the Wolf Shifter series and it can be read as a standalone.
We met Scarlet briefly in Trevor, Austin, and Sloane’s book, “A Bear’s Secret” as the sister of Trevor who was a part of the Ponderosa wolf pack that was trying to overthrow the Cascadian government. After being released from jail for good behavior, she is trying to get her life back on track when she meets shifter mates Chase and Gavin at a bar concert. Scarlet is an interesting character in that she had strong, biased beliefs about other shifter species and she now wants to believe that she has changed. Without giving too much away, Gavin and Chase wonder if it is possible to change. Do they take a chance on Scarlet?

This is a quick enjoyable paranormal romance. I liked all 3 main characters, but I felt that Scarlet’s character was more developed than Chase’s and Gavin’s. I would have liked a little more background on Gavin, especially. There are some steamy scenes - mostly MFM, but a few where both men are kissing. As I have said in some of my previous reviews in this series, MMF scenes are not my preferred genre, but the author does a great job of making them hot. The book moves at a good pace and has a HEA with no cliffhanger.

I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Scarlet has just gotten release from prison and is itching for her fresh start. She's staying with her brother and his two mates while working part time at a bakery. Her first night out she sneaks out and goes to a bar. Gavin saw Scarlet when she entered the bar and was drawn to her. When he spooked her by coming up without her noticing him she almost broke into a fight with him. Scarlet was drawn to the guy in the band but when Gavin came up she got spooked and almost got thrown out. Gavin joined her at the bar and was talking to her when his mate Chase. Chase can't take his eyes off the stunning woman and when they manage to convince her to come back stage with them they have a hot steamy night and she vanishes on them. The next day the start looking for Sara not knowing that Scarlet had given them a fake name. However nothing could've shocked Gavin more than when the notorious Scarlet walks into his parole office and he learns why their "Sara" ran into the night. Will Chase and Gavin give Scarlet a chance to show that she has changed? Will Scarlet ever see that she can have the fresh start she wants?

This is a great story once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Chase, Scarlet and Gavin is off the charts hot. This is a well written story and very entertaining. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Gavin and Chase have been together for a while. Gavin is a Parole officer and Chase is in charge of coordinating the search and rescue operations of Eastern Cascadia and also plays guitar in a small band called the Leather Chain.

Scarlet has been in prison for the last four years and just got out on parole. Her first night out of jail and she finds herself growing restless and needs to get out of the house that she now lives in with her brother, his two mates and her niece and nephew. She “borrows” her brother’s car and drives to a bar she hopes hasn’t changed in the four years she’s been gone. This is where she first meets Gavin and Chase.

This story is very well done. Even for a short story, you get a good story line and you also get the hot stuff. The chemistry between the three of them is delicious! I enjoy getting to know the characters and in this story, you do. Chase is easy going, Gavin is more serious and Scarlet is strong willed and determined to make a change for the better.

This is book four in the series and they just keep getting better and better. All the books so far have been stand alone and have a HEA.

Uncaging Wolves, book four in the Shifter Country Wolves series by Roxie Noir, under the pen name Dakota West.

3.5* stars

This is the 4th book in the series.

Scarlet, recently released from prison, stays with her brother and his two mates and looks at making a fresh start in life. With a part time job lined up at the local town bakery and a meeting with her parole officer the next day, Scarlet sneaks out of the house for her first taste of freedom. She visits the local bar and nearly ends up in a fight with Gavin. Gavin's mate Chase is in the band playing at the bar that night and they recognise Scarlet as their fated mate and end up going back stage. After giving them a fake name, Scarlet then vanishes. Gavin is shocked to see Scarlet the following morning walking into the parole office....

I enjoyed the characters, they had some depth and the little background details allowed me to invest in the story - although more page-count would've been great! Scarlet was not the young impressionable girl that went into prison blindly following a zealot parent, she had matured and realised her mistakes and worked hard to be given a second chance. I worried a little about Gavin, he seemed a little too judgmental but it was pleasing to see them all get together, it left me with a contented sigh.
