Even if you’re ready for everything, sometimes the rescuer needs rescuing. . .
In a blinding blizzard, wize-cracking Air Force Colonel Rick MacIntyre crashes his Blackhawk. As he waits for his own rescue in the frigid dark, his lifeline is the voice of Lily Atherton.
Rick is dying on the side of the mountain. He’s alone, except for the precious voice of a woman he's never met. If he gets out of this alive, he wants to meet. Thank her. Fall in love with her. Marry her.
Lily wants that too. But life has taught her that fairy tales don’t happen. Rick is old enough to be her father--well, almost. And he’s so far out of her league as to be laughable. Convincing her heart though. . .
Can the connection they formed on the edge of crisis hold up to the overwhelming obstacles of everyday life? Is there enough courage?
True Courage is the second installment in the five-book True Heroes military romance series. If you like heart-wrenching, wholesome love stories, then you’ll adore this book and the entire series.
What an awesome story. I laughed and cried. I am in love with this series! If you like adventure, excitement and some romance you’ll love these books! I could not put it down. I love Jax Hunter’s writing style. You get sucked in on page one and you never slow down.
Great stories, well written, fun easy read! Rick and Lily are great! And we get to know more of the guys in this story. I love Karen and Daniel. Maybe there will be a more detailed story of their relationship later.
Book 2 in "True" series; book about a USAF pararescue team stationed outside Yosemite. Lt Col MacIntyre crashes his helicopter and is talked through the rescue by an angel at Search and Rescue. Their age difference makes for tough decisions on both sides of this budding romance.
Once again, Jax hit the ball out of the park. True Courage made me laugh and had me sobbing a number of times; ensure you have a new box of tissues on hand...you will need them.
I was very disappointed with this book. I liked the first book so I broke my own rule and paid more for this one than I normally would have. The first few chapters were great and it went downhill fast form there. I had a had time keeping up with what was happening with every paragraph about an entire different character. The only reason I finished this book was because I paid for it. I will not be reading the rest of this series.
