The PJs are ready for anything, except for lies. . .
Sergeant Chris Gabriel is a former Air Force lawyer who left the JAG office to find a more ethical life as a member of the elite PJs—the military’s pararescue jumpers. When an old flame unexpectedly shows up on his doorstep seeking his help, Chris can’t turn her away. But when her husband’s body is later found in Chris’s apartment, and the wife has mysteriously vanished, Chris finds himself the key suspect in a murder investigation. But Chris has promised to keep silent to protect her, and he’s going to keep his word.
Claire Janova is Chris’s JAG lawyer, assigned to defend a man who won’t defend himself. Claire must convince Chris that offering a desperate woman sanctuary is one thing, but taking the fall for murder is another. To make matters even worse, she’s starting to fall for the noble Chris. But if she can’t be more professional and contain her feelings for her client, he might end up in prison.
Now, his teammates in the PJs are reeling under the accusations against one of their own—and Chris can’t even tell them why. As the moral fabric of the team gets ripped apart, even his brothers-in-arms begin to doubt him. Can Claire convince Chris to tell the truth in time to catch the real murderer, or will his sacrifice put him behind bars forever?
True Honor is the third installment in the five-book True Heroes military romance series. If you like your romance with a side of spellbinding suspense, this book will hook you until the last page.
I'm really enjoying this series. The characters are wonderful and still human with flaws and feelings. The story and action scenes are good. The characters really make the book. I loved this book.
I love this series! These books take you to places you don't see coming! I have laughed and cried and have fallen in love. I look forward to the rest of the stories!
Chris is so wonderful and it breaks my heart that he is so confused and messed up in this story. I want to hold him and give him advise. This story kept me guessing as to what would happen and where we were going. I love it!
