Potter Sapphire Ferguson had one rule: no more artists. There have been too many disappointments and too many heartbreaks. That is, until she sees wildlife metal artist Grady Magee welding a sculpture of wolves, and Sapphire's self-control is completely incinerated. Whoa, Nellie. A cowboy with an artist's soul…and a hard, sexy body. How can she resist?
Sapphire tells herself it's just sex—incredibly and unbelievably intense sex—between two consenting adults. No love and no getting hurt. Except that Grady isn't just an artist. He was raised at Thunder Mountain Ranch, and he's all cowboy. He's playing for keeps…and he'll have to prove to Sapphire that he can have an artist's soul and a cowboy's heart.
New York Times and USA Today bestseller Vicki Lewis Thompson believes love makes the world go around and laughter makes the trip worth taking. The recipient of RWA’s Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award and the author of more than ninety books, Vicki pioneered a new kind of romance hero with Nerd in Shining Armor. Following the success of her nerd stories, Vicki launched a boisterous paranormal series featuring a matchmaking witch and wizard, an ADD dragon named George, and a black cat inspired by her own precocious feline, Eve.
I do love reading about cowboys. It's all about the sexy scenes (FYI there are overflowing in this book), but they're also fun to read - and I love how this author writes. Loved it! 5☆
Cowboy Untamed is part of the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series and is a sexy romance featuring potter Sapphire and metal artist Grady. Sapphire has sworn off artists as far as relationships are concerned - every time she thinks she's found a good match it turns out to be a dud. But when she first sees Grady, she can't help but be attracted to him - and the feeling is mutual. When Grady is invited to be the guest artist at a local festival, it's not long before she's breaking her own rules and letting him into her bed. But will she let him into her heart? Only time will tell if Grady can convince Sapphire that they can put their talents together to make a bright and beautiful future.
This was my first time reading a book by Vicki Lewis Thompson and definitely won't be my last. I loved the small cowboy town and the people who make up this community. The Thunder Mountain Ranch is the focal point, a place where foster children have come and grown into handsome, hard-working and self sufficient men. Grady's circumstances were a little different - he was raised at the ranch for only a short time while his mother needed help, but he fell in love with the people there and made some solid friendships with the other young men. Being back in the place he considers home is a wonderful experience for him, as is the chance to get to know Sapphire. He's only going to be around for a week, and makes it clear to Sapphire that he'd like to spend time with her while he's there. For Sapphire, hesitant to get involved with Grady because he's exactly the kind of man she's been trying to stay away from, the idea of a hot and heavy short term affair is very appealing. They share some very sexy scenes together (indeed, there are an abundance of them in this story!). But he also realizes quickly that he's falling for Sapphire, and hopes that at the end of their week together she'll consider something more. Sapphire is torn between her heart and her mind, and the conflict in the story comes from her trying to decide which path to take. It's a wonderful sexy romance, with some very appealing and likable characters, and I'm definitely going to delve into more of the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series.

A fun read. Jake may be the firefighter but sparks ignite so fast between Grady and Sapphire they practically set the artists' co-op barn and surrounding forest ablaze from the beginning.
Grady's had a tough time getting the flame-haired potter out of his thoughts since she asked him to participate in her feline fundraiser.
Sapphire wants him but past experience has taught her not to trust another artist. So she decides to treat herself to a little weeklong fling with Grady.
Their emotional bond grows as hot and fast as their chemistry. But, they live in two separate town where they are established, and their families live too. They face the choice of trying to make it work longterm or be satisfied with the few days they had.
Really like this series. Can hardly wait fir the next book!

Grady is another member of the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood. We met both Grady and Sapphire is the last book and saw a immediate spark ignite between the two. Six weeks have passed and Grady is back to help Sapphire with her art show to support the nonprofit pet shelter. Grady is ready to rumble but Sapphire has decided no more romances with artists. Can Grady change her mind. Maybe with the help of a gray cat he names Grandolf. The cat does steal the show and adds some fun to the story. This is part of a series but works just fine as a stand alone.
It just takes one meeting with Sapphire, the local artisan running the co-op, for sparks to ignite and these artists find all sorts of ways to burn that tension and creative energy surrounding them. Grady and Sapphire bond over their shared compassion for feral cats–which I’m sure will appeal to cat lovers.
Now, I feel like making a Grady a metalwork artist/welder and Sapphire a potter is no doubt inspired by famous movie scenes.
I’m just saying…
Anyway, Grady is a beta hero, he’s an introspective artist who is in touch with his feelings. Because this is a Blaze the characters get up to all sorts of wild steamy escapades but the story never loses touch of its small-town setting and humor.
Abby Craden narrated this audiobook and she shows off her versatility. This was a pretty solid romance about two artists finding love and learning to trust again, thought the ending left some things open I’m sure it is resolved in the next book in the series.
The Thunder Mountain Series follows a group men who grew up at the Thunder Mountain foster home and formed a brotherhood. The series has expanded to 11 books and I’m curious to go back and read about the original men in the brotherhood.
The Blaze line went out of print a few years ago and it was one of the only Harlequin Lines I enjoyed. I like that Blaze made room for characters to have glamorous yet down-to-earth conflicts, setting, and careers.
I so enjoyed this story! Abby Craden is one of my favorite female narrators! It was such a treat that the characters were artists and that the ‘hero’ got his great body from being a welder. I also loved that Grady had the benefit of a great foster home and a loving mother. I will be looking for more audiobooks in this series!
Thunder mountain brothers again featured Grady , torch man, because of his metal sculpture. He's helping out a fundraiser for Sapphira. He quickly falls in love and Sapphira falls too but has dated some losers and so has cold feet. She finally agrees to believe and trust
I received an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review and here it is: 4 stars.
Cowboy Untamed is the seventh book in the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series, it's always a pleasure to return there, and this addition to the series, while hotter and sexier than most, is just as sweet and heartwarming as its predecessors.
This is Grady Magee and Sapphire Ferguson's book. They were high school classmates who reconnected briefly in book #6, he's Liam's younger brother, and it's now three weeks past the end of the last novel and he's back in Sheridan to set up shop in Sapphire's baby--the Art Barn, a co-op, where he'll be spending the next week getting ready for a fundraiser demonstration and auction, although he hasn't a clue what the funds are for, his main concern is getting closer to Sapphire. The connection between these two characters is hot enough to melt steel.
Sapphire certainly knows what the fundraiser is for--she's been tending to and caring for the local feral cat population, and attempting to have them spayed and neutered. The proceeds from the art exhibition and auction with help fund the local shelter and pay for the care and feeding of these ferals. Since Grady has arrived at the Art Barn ahead of schedule, he's turned on by the mere sound of Sapphire's voice, as she's trying to entice a feral tuxedo cat she's named Fred Astaire to accept her touch as well as the food she's offering.
Sapphire is as attracted to tall, handsome, and extremely talented Grady, as he is to her, but she has a lot of baggage--she's always been attracted to creative men, and a string of broken and failed relationships with them in the past has left her wary of ever getting involved with yet another artist, no matter how sexy, charming and hot he is. Grady is only going to be around for the next week before returning to his home and studio in Cody, and the last thing he expected to do while in Sheridan is adopt a cat he names Gandalf. If I wasn't already enamored of this series, the focus on felines would have done it for me.
Grady plans to spend a good part of the week working on a surprise sculpture for Rosie's upcoming birthday. Rosie is his foster mom, and so we get to revisit Thunder Mountain Ranch and spend some time with characters we've come to know and love. This is more than a just a hot romance, it's also a story about family, and in the case of this series, family encompasses way more than blood relationships.
So, is one week long enough to overcome Sapphire's vow to never get involved? Is one week enough time to fall in love? Is one week enough to establish trust? You'll just have to read this charming, sexy and often humorous novel to find out.
I adored the artistic spirit of the story, and how inspiring it was, just reading it. The characters are another note that I loved about the story. Every single one of Rosie and Herbs boys has proven to be stellar men, and Grady doesn't disappoint in that department either, or in any other for that matter. His determination, will, and perseverance to make a future with Sapphire is admirable, him knowing exactly what he wants, and goes after it, honestly, openly, and with hope in his heart. Sapphire has her doubts, not about Grady so much, but her own ability to pick a good man, and mostly, not trusting another male artist in relationship matter ever again was her vow. They are steaming hot together, the sexy times are frequent and blazing hot, each and every one of them. But there's also heart, caring, deep feelings involved, making it beautiful, delightful, and luscious as well, even lovingly tender at times. I liked the humor, the lightness of the tale at times, I enjoyed Grady and Sapphire together, the connection between them was more than just physical, even though that side of them was blistering hot. But they also got each other in a deeper, meaningful level as an artist gets another, as a person can understand and accept the other, as they are, with faults and all. And in this nurturing, giving, accepting environment, it is easier to learn to trust again, to learn to hope again, and to learn to take a leap of faith again, to feel the lightness of love and life again ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side
Cowboy Untamed was an unusual story. Yes, it was about a man and a woman who were attracted to one another. Yes, it was about an immediate chemistry and shared connection. Yes, it was about lust to love on a speedy timetable. More than that though, it was about finding a kindred mate and appreciating family. I liked this simple yet complicated story. Grady and Sapphire shared something special.
About the Characters:
Grady: Strong, artistic, passionate, sensitive, family-oriented, loyal, laid back Sapphire: Intense, over thinker, passionate, artistic, relationship-weary, driven, stubborn
I liked Grady's playfulness and attitude, “all over?” He grabbed her hand and pressed it to his rapidly beating heart. “You insult me, lady. Yeah, I was a three-second wonder when I was seventeen, but I’ve learned a few things since then.” He's just not bashful, “I’ve changed my mind. Now I have different locations where I want you to rub. After I get cleaned up, I’ll point them out.” I really liked this book, I loved Grady.
Well it's almost 2 AM and I just finished Cowboy Untamed by Vicki Lewis Thompson. Grady and Sapphire are two artists who are meant to be but she doesn't quite believe it. A cat named Gandolf and plenty of hot sparks....not just the ones from his welding get them together. This was another great book in the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series. Now I can't wait for Amethyst and Jake's story. Hurry up Vicki...
I loved this book in the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series. Grady is the perfect lover, well rounded and aware of the feelings of others and Sapphire is a s damaged as the feral cats she is trying to protect. They grow closer and overcome the odds against their relationship. I received an Arc copy free for my honest opinion
I can't get enough of VLT's cowboys! Cowboy Untamed was a great addition to the Thunder Mountain series! Grady was the perfect blend of sweet and sexy, and shared his artistic side with Sapphire. Sapphire was a lot like the skittish cat, Fred, in the story. I'm glad they worked through to their HEA! I cannot wait until December for the next one!
"The title speaks for itself when it comes to Grady. From his inner dialogue to the way he carries himself, he’s not tamed in the least. He alone will likely turn out to be your favorite character" (4 stars @ RT Book Reviews).
Just love this series. Vicki Lewis Thompson does it outstanding job with the characters and plot of the stories in this whole series. Try to read them slow because I never want it to end. Csn't wait for the next one.
Grady is helping Cade to pick art for his cabin when he runs into Sapphire, someone he went to school with..They are both struck with lust at the meeting..but 3 weeks goes by before they see each other again...It gets very hot and heavy once they get to meet each other again....A page turner
Another great book by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I am so in love with her Thunder Mountain Brotherhood. I really loved reading Grady and Sapphire's story. Cant wait for the next book.
