If you are looking for a sweet, easy, fun read then this will do it for you. This is the first book from Emma that I’ve read. Her writing style is different. I wish we got inside the character’s heads more.

I liked Gabriel. But he almost seemed too perfect to believe. He was sweet and loving. He was the ultimate bachelor not looking for anything serious, in fact most of his relationships lasted two weeks tops. He liked his life the way it was until one day he ran into the beautiful Isabella. Their paths crossed for a reason, right? Isabella was trying to find her inspiration, her dreams again after ending a marriage that she was never truly happy in. The only good that came from her marriage were her two children (loved both of them). Isabella’s life was never easy. **by the way, her sister! Ugh! What a b*tc# and her husband….grrrrr** And because of the struggles she had, she wanted to take the relationship with Gabriel slow. It was nice seeing them grow as couple and family. I like that the relationship wasn’t rushed. Gabriel was very sweet with the kids which any woman loves!

Now, why did I rate it low? Well, it just was, eh to me. I didn’t feel any real connection to the characters. The story was drawn out. So much emphasis was made on Gabriel’s “lie” that I thought the fallout would be bigger. While I felt the story was sweet and I really enjoyed Isabella and Gabriel’s journey, I felt like it was missing something. The big moment of “lies” wasn’t really that big. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I was expecting Sebastian to be more of a problem than he was because such a big deal was made about him several times.

Overall, I enjoyed the storyline.

I got this as a freebie via BookBub through Amazon, it was part of the Boxed set (Dreams Come True #1~#3). However, I'm reviewing them as separate books. I gave this a 2 stars or 4/10.

This was a very gentle romance that centred on Isabella, a mother of two young children and Gabriel a wealthy businessman. Whilst, a lot happens within a short period of time the relationship between the two main characters seemed a little too good to be true. The story in general lacked a little depth to be honest and the character development was rather rushed.

Saying that though, the story is pure escapism as it doesn't take much in the way of concentration. Although, I did have one niggle chapter 18 and 19 appear to be the wrong way round in my opinion. I would've contacted the publisher but I couldn't see who that was, so I've tweeted to Nicole Andrews Moore about it, as she appears to be the Author although Emma Nichols is also credited.

This is the first in a trilogy, I feel that it could be read as standalone as the other feature other main characters with some characters in common in all three stories.

“Lowering himself until he covered her, Gabriel responded with a kiss. His lips pressed against hers, his eyes tightly closed. One hand came up and cupped the back of her head. She followed his lead, allowing him access to her mouth.”

4 dreamy stars!! What a sexy, beautiful read!!

Isabella never had an easy life. She never knew who her real parents were, as she was adopted and she always longed for a real family and love. Now a single mother of two, her world has come crashing down around her. In walks Gabriel, a man who’s lived a life of luxury. He’s a playboy and vows to never be with one woman. But when he sees Isabella he knows there’s something different, but he knows his well todo father will have none of it. But passion keeps these two together until their pasts and lies come to the surface. They may not be able to wade through the problems….

What a great book. The chemistry between Bella and Gabriel is off the charts. You can’t help but fall in love with these two and you root for everything to go their way….and when it doesn’t your heart breaks for them…..great, great book!! Can’t wait to read more!

First A Dream is the second book by Emma Nichols that I've read. The first thing that stands out to me is the range of her story lines. The Truth About Love is a story about the struggles of marriage, parenting, forgiveness and second chances. First A Dream is more of a modern fairy-tale. Oh our main character, Isabella does have a less than ideal marital history but when she meets Gabriel, it feels as though a spell is cast over the two of them which seals their fate. While they are both hesitant, the chance at happiness is one neither can pass up.

Brought together by chance, Isabella and Gabriel seemingly have nothing in common. He's a young and wealthy playboy while Isabella is a young mother on the brink of ditching her scumbag of a husband. Isabelle is definitely worthy of having a good guy in her life. She's taken on too much responsibility in her young life and lived with self-absorbed mother & sister, and then later a dismissive husband. She has a very supportive friend and boss who do what they can to help make things happen.

Due to logistics, Gabriel and Isabelle are allotted only certain days together so their relationship builds slowly. Gabriel's non-relationship modis operedi doesn't quite fit into wooing a woman who is clearly not game for a one night stand and who is very family oriented. They both approach it with caution and live in the moment attitude, remaining rather chaste in order not to push too far. His friends are surprised by his devotion to Bella but they remain supportive (I'm hoping Bens' story is next). He has his faults, but there's nothing too major, certainly nothing unforgivable occurs.

While I loved the magical aspect of their story, with Gabriels romantic notion of fate (beshert), and the warmth of Gabriels' adoration, there's just not enough angst. Initially Isabella experiences betrayal that doesn't set her back all that much. With Gabriel, there are doubts about how long they may last and when he does disappoint her, it doesn't last very long. Bella's history makes her wary but Gabriel is persistent and turns on the charm. His affluence does allow him to make things happen. That combined with a considerate nature, he's almost a little too perfect. So, if you want a sweet love story without too much strife this is the perfect read for you.

My first book I've read written by this Author, really enjoyed reading this heartwarming story.

As the story goes, I just fell in love with Gabriel who is rich, working for his father but he's so determined to earn his position in his father's business by getting his MBA degree not that he needed to do.
Isabelle she's one tough cookie I loved her strength as she's not has an easy childhood, adopted to an ice queen of a mother! She adored het father till his death when she was a teenager & taught my her grandmother not to cry in front of her mother & younger sister!! Ever since she's never cried... My heart just broke when we get glimpses of her childhood, just wish I had more insight.
She's an amazing mother to her gorgeous children Rebecca & Konner, a single mother ever since she caught her cheating husband with her sister! She just said to Jack that he can never live with her... shows what kind of a woman she is!

Love the way they met each other, if you want to know - you just have to read it lol Makes me smile that I can tell you as its something different which I absolutely loved! The way their relationship just grew slowly & the way Gabriel took to her kids just shows what kind of a guy considering he's never ever dated anyone longer than 2 weeks! He's stepped up a huge notch for me!

Can't wait to see what this author will bring us next in this series...

Isabelle hasn’t had it too easy, she has a mother that hates her, a sister that wants everything she has and a husband that is a complete and utter jerk. Isabelle knew she was making a mistake before she married Ryan but she still went through with it. After finding out what Ryan was up to she ends up a single mother with two adorable children.

Gabriel hates the fact he is under his fathers command, he is trying to get himself out from under the hard man. Gabriel’s relationship span is usually two weeks, he gets bored easily and doesn’t want a relationship when he meets Isabelle. He is instantly smitten with the single mother.

This book was quite quick and easy and I didn’t hate it but there were just too many things working against it for me. It was a bit too drawn out and the big reveal of the lie was kind of anti climatic.

This story was a little too unbelievable to me. I couldn't get past the fact that they had been dating for nearly a year but had never had sex or really anything close! And then Gabriel more or less claimed them as his after spending one evening with the children! I know this is fiction but to me it wasn't anyway close to realistic and it put me off the story.

Nothing tosses me out of reading Romance quicker than Woe is Me and I Hate My Parents.
The author made the mistake of letting me know too soon that the two leads are immature and with little in the way of real life experience to become involved in a serious relationship, so why should I care about them?
Dreams come true after hard work, lots of mistakes and mishaps, and a spiritual awakening around age 33. NOT because Woe is Me bumps into Mr. Money who Hates his Parents but has the cash to set all that aside for some fun times.

This is a Modern Day Cinderella Story. Not my typical read, but I truly enjoyed it. A first I wasn't sure I would like this type of story but once I started reading I found I couldn't put it down. The characters were so easily liked. Gabriel a very rich playboy, and Isabella a Mother of Two found a love that some would say could only be found in a fairy-tale.

Read this as part of the on-going project to help a friend develop a booklist for her group, Adult Children of Parents with PTSD.

Both the heroine, Isabella, and the hero, Gabriel, have rotten parents who did a number on them. Isabella marries Jack to escape her mother. Gabriel pursues an MBA to achieve independence from his controlling father. Gabriel is fabulously wealth as is his father.

Isabella is a photographer and a mother of two. She doesn't really love Jack, knew that when she married him, but she went ahead with it because escaping her mother was so important.

I don't understand why both of these people just didn't move out. The author apparently knows nothing about getting an MBA. Gabriel lives in Montreal and is getting his degree at McGill but in order to graduate sooner, he decides to take summer classes at SUNY-Plattsburgh. This school not only has classes he needs, but he was entranced by the photographs in the catalogue. Naturally, they were taken by Isabella.

Someone explain to me why an art class is a required class for an MBA. I am pretty certain it isn't and that just bothered me throughout the book.

Anyway, Isabella catches Jack in the act of cheating (a cliche) with her sister (again a cliche) and orders Jack out of the house. He cooperates and the next day while she is at work he comes to the home and takes his property. He is quite fair about it and leaves her a note asking how she would like to divide the DVD collection.

Despite the fact that she didn't love him, Isabella gets depressed, her photographs suffer which is a problem because Gabriel showed the pix in the catalog to a gallery owner in Montreal who wants to exhibit Isabella's work.

Gabriel and Isabella meet and of course, instant attraction. What bothers me about this is that Gabriel is clearly the rebound guy and Isabella never questions this, never goes to therapy to help her depression, just falls in love. He is cool with her two children who are not at all disturbed that daddy doesn't live there anymore and mommy has a new man in her life. The kids don't act like kids at all.

They embark on a very odd, sexless relationship where they sleep together naked until they get engaged. Gabriel showers money and gifts on her and the children throughout the relationship and it is obvious that the author is convinced love solves all the characters' problems.

First a Dream (Dreams Come True, #1) by Nicole Andrews Moore - Wow this is for those that need to breathe life back in to their dreams. A little fairy tale that can come true - won't hurt you to try to believe again!
Who wouldn't fall in love with Gabriel he has romantic heart throb written all over him. He is focused on Isabelle "his Bella". Gabriel is a successful business man and completing his master's and a mutual chance encounter introduces them to one another. Bella works in a Gallery and is a photographer. My first book from this author and it definitely makes me want to read so much more. This book is perfect for a divorced friend (it's not a failure it's just not meant to be and there is someone else for you, don't settle), a struggling single friend (love better when it's with the one-worth the wait), don't sacrifice your dreams (don't assume how your parents will act). Friendship, humor, romantic bliss this story has something for everyone. No cliff hanger thank god (I hate cliff hangers). The supporting character's are so endearing you want to know what happens to them. This is a must read!

Truly a fairy tale come true

Such a lovely story that begins with ultimate betrayal and devastation and ends with only a dream come true. Isabella thought she and her husband and their two children were like ing the middle class American dream. Then it exploded into a nightmare in a mere second. Not one to drown in a pity party, Isabella saw her life for what it was, lifted her bootstraps and proceeded to make as good a life as possible, never expecting for it to change into a dream. Gabriel was your typical well-to-do player -- different girl every night, chasing the skirt, no romantic drivel for him. That is, until he meets Isabella, his Bella. Once he began to pursue Bella, Gabriel did everything he felt was exactly right, even loving her kids. Except for one major blunder that parted them from each other with a crushing blow. But with true love in their hearts for each other, and with Bella's genuinely honest and simple ways, even the one barrier Gave felt was unbreachable, they formed an unbreakable union to a beautiful HE A. Ms Nichols is a remarkable romance storyteller, and I enjoy each h of her books more than the previous. 5 Stars all the way!!!

Isabella thought she was living her dream. Married with two kids and working with a photographer. Until the night she went to surprise her husband and found him with her sister. Now trying to be a single mom she goes and sees her mentor Dr Pam. When she leaves she bumps into a man and he dances with her in The hallway. That night while out with her best friend Jessie, she tells her about this mysterious man. Unbeknownst he is standing right behind her. Gabriel is intrigued by Isabella. When he finds out she has two kids, he's worried about what his father and best friends will say. Will him keeping secrets from everyone about Isabella's kids tear them apart? Great read.

This was boring and ridiculously slow...I won’t even begin to tell the author that there’s a time line mix up in the last few chapters because I just don’t care

Ex husband is an ass, get over it.

Sister is a cow, cut her out if your life and move on
Mother is a bitch, grown a backbone and let go of the toxic

You hold off having intercourse but oral is ok and let’s skip over that disgusting shower.

Gabriel’s overly romantic and unreal. Now let’s mention his mother...Gabriel’s a millionaire right? But he lets his mom fend for herself? Really?

Needless to say I won’t be reading the other 2 from this free bundle, enough time was wasted

Cute, love story

3.5 stars Gabriel showers Bella with love at every opportunity, but makes a huge mistake and almost loses her. It goes to show that money isn't everything. Bella fiercely loves and protects her kids but will she risk her heart again for the possibility of finding her true love? Very cute story.

A young married woman with two children finds her husband with her sister. With dignity she tells him to go. She meets a man who turns her life around. Of course, he is a billionaire. A pretty common theme but quite enjoyable.

All Isabella wanted was a happy family. She got married looking for one, but as soon as she was married, she knew she had made a mistake. Still she did her best to make it work, until she couldn't. While getting divorced, she meets Gabriel, and both of them couldn't stop thinking about the other. The love story between the two is crazy, in the sense that they were perfect for each other, and even if Isabella kept waiting for something to go wrong, Gabriel kept being the perfect man for her.

This one is a really sweet story, it seems a little bit unrealistic in the sense that sometimes Gabriel seems too good to be true, but for the rest, it feels real, the characters feel like real people, and their hopes and dreams, even their mistakes give that same feeling of things being true. I liked the characters, their sweet, and a little dorky, but very lovable. It wasn't one of the easiest books to read, some parts dragged a little, but overall, it was a book I really enjoyed.

Review:

This is book one of the Dreams Come True series by Emma Nichols. This is a stand alone book. It takes place in Plattsburg, NY, Montreal Canada, Aruba, and Disney World.

Isabella married at 19, had two children, worked as a photographer and attended graduate school. She also caught her husband with her sister. While trying to get her life back on track, Isabella meets the wonderful Gabriel. Gabriel does everything in his power to win the love of Isabella including lavish trips and expensive gifts. He says he loves her more than anything. Just when Isabella starts to believe, the secret that Gabriel has been keeping is brought to light.

The story has an interesting plot, but to me it seems to drag on a little. The chemistry between Gabriel and Isabella seems almost possessive and stalkerish at times. The pacing did drag a little for my taste. The ending is what I expected. The character development is steady.

Meet Isabella.
Her story goes a little something like this.

Life for Isabella has never been easy. Adopted at a very young age, Isabella never felt as though she fit in, belonged to a family. Her dream was to always have the fairy tale. A husband, children and a happily ever after.
Marrying at the age of 19, Isabella believed in her heart of hearts that she could find happiness with her husband. Now away from home, Isabella wanted to finally settle with him and find her happily ever after that she has always craved for.

But what she never bargained for was the ultimate betrayal.
She never bargained on her heart being shattered, left with two beautiful children to raise on her own.

Isabella threw herself into her work, ad doted on her children.
Never looking for love as hope was all but lost. Isabella never believed that she would ever love again and that true love really did only exist in fairy tales.

That is until one chance encounter would primarily change her life forever.
Or more to the point, he would change her life forever.

His name.

Gabriel.

Meet Gabriel.
A billionaire who is as sexy as sin, exudes confidence, a player. He never wants to settle down. His goal is to finish school and move away from the house he calls home. Living with his controlling father, Gabriel has one goal in mind…..To get as far away from his father as he can.

That is until once chance encounter would primarily change his life forever.
Or more to the point, she would change his life forever.

What happens when Isabella and Gabriel’s worlds collide.
Can Isabella ever allow her heart to open again?
Can Gabriel stop his playing ways and have a relationship with Isabella?
Can Isabella trust Gabriel enough?
Can Gabriel break down Isabella’s walls?
Will they both find their happily ever afters, or will they ultimately destroy each other?

You are just going to have to read First A Dream to find out.

We have never read any novels by Emma Nichols before so we had no idea what to expect. What we found was a beautiful story told through both Isabella and Gabriel’s eyes.
An emotional read, we often found ourselves laughing out loud or simply holding our breath wondering what was going to happen next. A definite roller coater of emotions.
We found ourselves captivated, finishing the novel in one sitting. Just put simply First A Dream is a beautiful read that shows us that dreams can come true as long as you have faith and hope and never stop believing.

A definite 4 star read.

This book started pretty slowly for me but gradually sped up as far as flow went. I really fell for Gabriel pretty quickly. He's never known love, never really dated and had a pretty dysfunctional childhood and view of the world - much of it due to his father's business and wealth. I had a harder time connecting with Isabella. I think that if I had more of her backstory earlier I could have gotten behind her more vehemently. She's a very strong, self-reliant and loving woman who has had a really rough go of it, but her backbone doesn't come into play right away. The book starts with her marriage to a man she doesn't love. She's 19 and decided that it was a better option than staying at home. She meets Gabriel years later while separated from her husband Jack. Gabriel and Isabella have an instant connection and while excited, Isabella isn't looking for anything as far as a relationship goes. A second chance meeting leads to the beginning of their relationship. Isabella has her reservations (justifiably so) and is treading lightly. It was fun to witness the wooing on Gabriel's end. He really is a dream come true if you were the lucky recipient. He opens up to Isabella on multiple occasions but she never reciprocates. The important things about her past he learns from others. Her big triggers are fidelity and honesty, but I never felt that she was giving it her all. I understood her skepticism, but I kept hoping that she would trust him enough to actually open up to him. I feel a little cheated because she didn't.
This was a great romance. I enjoyed the story and most of the characters. For me, personally, I would have liked to have more dialog and/or banter between the characters. Additionally, (for me) the "lie" was a lie of omission and it wasn't as big of a deal as Isabella made it out to be since she was holding back so much information in their relationship.
I would recommend this read because you will love the way Gabriel sweeps you away while going after Isabella. Emma writes the tale very well, but I just wanted more.

Isabella wanted to escape her mother and got married too young to a man who was wrong for her. Now she has 2 kids and a chance to do things over. She meets Gabriel, and they seem to hit it off pretty well and fall pretty quickly in love. Things seem to be going well, but we all know that can continue, right?

There wasn't much background of Gabriel, so he says he used to be a player, but I just felt that he was a sad guy who didn't know what he wanted except to prove himself to his dad. I never really got a grasp of who he actually was as a person. Isabella seemed to pick herself up and was working and finishing up school while raising her 2 kids. I admired her.

This was a light read that I finished in an afternoon. I was a little jealous of the ability to go off on vacation for extended amounts of time (where's my prince??). While reading this book, I felt like it was written in the 1980s or 90s for some reason. Gabriel lives in Montreal, CANADA and Isabella lives in Plattsburgh, NY and although they take her kids to Canada for trips, they stop in the middle of the story for passports, but they were texting and stuff, so I tried to shrug it off.

Writing Style (POV): Third Person; dual POV
Grammar: There were several things that bothered me and drew me out of the story.
Sexual Content: There are a couple of make out/first base type of scenes, but not much action til the end.

This is a complete stand-alone novel. It is the first in the "Dreams Come True" series. I read the blurbs of the other 2 books and I want to know more about Sebastian in Book 2 and Ben in Book 3, so I'm excited to read more!

Will I Recommend This Book? Yes
Recommend The Author: I've read several by this author lately and I like her diversity of characters and storylines.

Fairy tales don't come true... at least they don't for Isabella Parker. Seeing and feeling heartbreak from an early age, she's become a master at burying her emotions even leaving her beloved outlet of photography lacking... her life is lacking the one thing she still dreams of.

A chance meeting with Gabriel, the charming billionaire from Canada, changes her life as she knows it. What was thought to be chance turns out to be fate as the two are drawn together faster by a pull much stronger than either of them had anticipated.

Fairy tale right?

The problem lies with the most important part of Isabella's life... her children. When they try to blend their worlds, Isabella's trust is put to the test just as much as Gabriel's honesty.
The drama was expected but also resolved much quicker than I anticipated which I think was a relief to me by this point as I had been anticipating the fall out moment for the majority of the book.

The characters were fun. I could easily see the potential story line for the subsequent books in the series, and I had a few standout favorites that I'm interested in reading more about in time. The story was an easy read... not too much drama, not too much angst... overall being just a fun sweet read about two people who weren't looking for each other but found everything they needed and the encouragement to dream and dream bigger.

If you're in the mood for a sweet read and dose of your hero falling in love with the woman and the kids... check it out!

“This man scared her. She loved him more than she ever expected to love any man”

Isabella has never felt like she fit in with her family. Isabella never imagined she would be sharing custody of her two children with her lying, cheating ex-husband. Fate had a way of stepping in and showing her what real, true love feels like. She has given up on fairy tales. In waltz's Gabriel. He quite literally sweeps her off her feet. Nose dives right into love. But can he keep up his lie and still win the girl?
This story is slow moving and low heat, but the subtle build to a real forever relationship is very real and well developed over the pages.

Gabe is a playboy, Never had a relationship that lasted more than 2 weeks. The last thing you would expect from him is to fall for a woman with children. From their first date a small part of the wall around his heart starts to crumble. And then add to it when Isabella shows him a picture of her children he is a goner.

Isabella is recovering from a failed marriage. She is scared to let anyone in. Her children are her first priority. She hasn't had the best of luck growing up either. Her mother and sister remind me of Cinderella. Wicked stepmother and sister. Her marriage was a disaster from the day of her wedding where she had doubts. Her intuition was right. Her husband turned out to be a jerk.

Sometimes you thought Gabe was too good to be true. He fell for Bella fast and never looked back. But when you realized that he tried to hide her children from those close to him you realize he is not so perfect. What they were building together was great to see. She was finally getting her family that she longed for with love included. But in the back of your head you always thought how could it last if he couldn't admit to anyone about her children. After all you can't have your cake and eat it too. He has to make a decision. Life with Isabella and her children his father be damned or life without them.

Is love worth it???
