Landon Hamilton, the champion of humankind in the war between good and evil, had thought he'd seen the last of the demon Abaddon when he destroyed Archangel Avriel’s Box. He was wrong. Abaddon is back, summoned to our world by an old acquaintance and desperate for the freedom he was promised. Now the race is on for Landon and his motley team of angels, demons, and mortals to find a way to destroy Abaddon and put a stop to his handler's plot before humankind is laid to waste. He's outmatched and out of time. But then again, isn't he always? ------- Execution is the sixth book in the popular Divine series, a supernatural urban fantasy series about Heaven, Hell, good, evil, and the man who keeps the angels and demons from ruining Earth for the rest of us.
M.R. Forbes is the author of a growing number of science-fiction series including Rebellion, War Eternal, Chaos of the Covenant, Stars End, and the Forgotten novels. Having spent his childhood trying to read every sci-fi novel he could find (and write his own too), play every sci-fi video game he could get his hands on, and see every sci-fi movie that made it into the theater, he has a true love of the genre across every medium. He works hard to bring that same energy to his own stories, with a continuing goal to entertain, delight, fascinate, and surprise.
He maintains a true appreciation for his readers and is always happy to hear from them.

Another fantastic story in the Divine series. Having followed Landon since the first novel its always exciting to follow him in his latest tale, and this story was no exception.
As always I completely enjoyed the characters that inhabit Forbes' world. Zifah was a welcome addition to the group dynamic with his perky attitude, aptitude for cursing--poop!--and utter deadliness. Gervais was brilliant in his asshole way. The chemistry between Alyx and Landon was captivating and sincere. And Abaddon was an antagonist worthy of respect; his honour is, well, honourable.
A great plot and rapid pace that had me unable to stop reading (I finished the book in 2 days). Can't wait for the next instalment.
This series keeps getting better with everybook. I love Alyx and Landon together then any of the other love interest. I got to say it doesnt look good that every other love interest is dead or gone bad. Just like Landon, she is the perfect mix of good and a little bit of evil and furiously loyal to eachother. I cant believe of all the characters we started with only Obi and Dante remain. Sarah is always a wildcard. All I got say is Mr. Forbes you better not kill Alyx or turn her bad, She is perfect for Landon. I cant wait of Extinction book 7.
I have to say that I have enjoyed this series of books immensely! I've read a number of Forbes' other series and books but this series stands out for some reason. I'm. Or even into the whole heaven and hell, demons and angels, genre because I usually find those books to have more of a religious undercurrent than I feel comfortable with. I can handle this series though without getting annoyed. I guess what I take away from it is that angels can be priggish hypocrits and you should never trust a demon. Most demons....
I just can't put this book down! The twists and turns are so unexpected, I'm yelling out loud and cheering!! I've become invested in the characters and am dying to know how it ends!!
Once again I was held captive. The main character's depth of growth is not disappointing. And the story arc kept me engaged. I did not feel a part of this book just as a view but engrossed within.
