She's hell-bent on revenge. He has the power to destroy all her plans.

Kim Johnson is on a mission to destroy the man who murdered her parents. When the killer discovers she’s investigating him, Kim flees to a small cabin in north Idaho’s woods. What she doesn’t anticipate is the local sheriff, her hot new neighbor Zach Sullivan, showing up at her cabin in response to a 911 call. Already distrustful of cops, Kim feeds Zach lie after lie, refusing to tell him her real name or what she’s up to—or why there’s a dead man lying on her back porch. But Zach is determined to get the truth out of her.

Kim does her best to keep Zach at a distance, but she soon discovers there’s one thing she can’t lie about: her unexpected attraction to him. And when she finds herself falling for the one man who could ruin all her plans, she must decide what is more important: seeking revenge or protecting the people she loves.

NOTE: All books in this series are loosely connected stand-alones. Each book is a full-length novel with a conclusion (no cliffhangers at the end). Due to some adult language and situations, the books in this series are recommended for readers ages 18 and up.

As always Leslie Georgeson hits a home run with Deceived as with every books she writes.

With the emotions running high all around in this book the lead characters seem to irritate and enjoy each other at the same time. Kim is a determined woman who knows the man who killed her parents and she will bring him down, no matter what. She is scared, hunted, and loyal. She is also not what she seems.

Zach, the Sherriff, really likes her but he knows she is lying and he cannot get her to tell him what's wrong. That does not stop him from questioning who she is, what she's up to and why he himself feels such a strong pull toward her.

Throw in some felons, a missing "husband" and a powerful Sherriff (not Zach) and this books will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I love it!!!!

She has become one of my favorite authors and I will always look forward to the next book. I received a copy of this book for an honest review. Honestly, you will miss out on quite a ride if you miss out on this book. I would love to discuss this book with you after you have read it.

Although the overall plot covered a mature subject, it was delivered in a very juvenile manner. The characters weren’t very developed and the author does a lot of telling without showing. That is until you get to the sex scenes. When that happens the author comes into her own. Well choreographed, well paced, well descripted barely does the love scenes justice. Unfortunately, you have to read the rest of the story to reach them. If I didn’t know any better, I would believe two different people authored this story, and I know which one I want to read.
