About the author

Yu-hsuan Huang, also known as Smallx2, started her career as an illustrator, working on editorials, picture books, and commercial projects. She also has her own illustration brand named Smohouse. She lives with her family and two lovely cats in Taiwan.

2021; Nosy Crow

I really enjoy the Nosy Crow: Sing Along with Me board book series. It is perfect for little ones as you can sing these long time favourites to them. The illustrations in these little books are great as well. Any of these would make great prints for the wall.

In my eARC I was not able to see anything but the pages of the stories. I am not sure what this looks like in physical form.

A brightly colored telling of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Song. Each page has a movable piece to engage young readers. The words on the pages are in big font to allow easy reading and only a few words per a page so not to overwhelm young children. For further fun there is a QR code on the back to listen to the song. The video that the QR code takes readers to matches the pictures in the book.

We love this series and this is one of the best of the series. Also suitable if you want to replace the words with another language. We sing it in both English and Spanish.

My baby has loved all of these Nosy Crow nursery rhyme books we’ve read (we have three haha). He loves the shooting star page in this one. Huang’s illustrations are the best!
