Tanner

Giyanna had fled to Ireland when she was seventeen to get away from her abusive brother, Rogan, leaving her twin, Tyrrell, behind to make his own way in the States. Even though she missed Tyrrell fiercely, she vowed to never return. But with Rogan now in jail and facing serious time, she's back to defend the man she hates most. Giyanna and Tyrrell are both good attorneys, but her goal was to make sure Rogan never gets out.

From the moment Chris Bentley called Tanner for a favor, he suspected it was a ploy for him to meet his other half. His brothers were all married now, but he wasn't in any hurry to follow in their footsteps. He liked his life the way it was—uncomplicated.

She and Tyrrell were invited to the Calhoun home for dinner, they even sent a limo to pick them up. Giyanna wasn’t good with people, especially big men, and when they arrived, the door was opened, and she was staring into the eyes of the most incredible looking man she’d ever seen. But when the entire family rushed to welcome her into the family, Giyanna was not only confused, she was petrified.

Trust didn’t come easy for Giyanna, so Tanner had a long way to go to earn her heart. But when bodies started coming out of the woodwork, Giyanna was riddled with guilt for not acting on her instincts years ago. Now it’s up to Tanner to see her through it.

Well, we've reached the sixth, and final book in Kathi S. Barton's "Calhoun Men" series. If you'll remember from the end of 'Randal' we were witness to Chris Bentley and Myra being involved in Tanner's fate. Not a lot, but tweaked around just enough to try and accomplish getting Giyanna to Ohio. I don't think I've ever seen Myra impersonate another person in order to manipulate events before so she certainly surprised me this time. And when there was, what I thought was a vampire, involved with seemingly helping Rogan my eyes got huge! In case you had forgotten, Tanner was in an accident when he was younger and the repercussions were him left not being able to sire children. For that reason alone he convinced himself he didn't want a mate since he wouldn't be able to give her what she wanted. He's also an attorney but had quit his job with a large firm and went to work exclusively for Noah. Giyanna and Tyrell were twins and were siblings to Rogan. Even as a child Rogan was a narcissistic and sadist individual who doled out physical pain on a regular basis. It happened one too many times and Giyanna left for Ireland at seventeen to live with a relative while Tyrell stayed in the States to finish his degree. Now Rogan is in jail on charges that fill the folder making it look like a novel. The Calhoun family got involved when Rogan was having a physical altercation with his wife and they came to help her, her brother Phillip who was also hurt, and Rogan's four children escape. Now it's up to the twins to help Rogan get a lesser sentence and still be able to keep him in prison for as long as possible. Oh, and Giyanna is Tanner's mate but she's learned the hard way not to trust men, especially large men and the Calhoun men have the large part covered in spades. Things come to light about Rogan, proving him to be the poster child for the word monster. This one has more than a few gruesome elements but in Ms. Barton's fashion, her writing is equivalent to a pendulum's swing. As gruesome as one aspect is there is always something of equal or greater goodness that shines through. Good vs. Evil and as always, Good prevails. This is a wonderful storyline and a great ending to an even greater series.

Giyanna and her twin, Tyrrell, had a childhood full of fear all due to their older brother, Rogan. After witnessing the true depth of his evilness, Giyanna and Tyrrell fled, her to Ireland to stay with an aunt and him to a cousin's house. Now both lawyers, with Rogan facing charges and requesting their help, they return to their hometown to face their nightmare, the possibility of Rogan getting freed. They're determined to ensure that never happens.

Tanner, a lawyer now working for Noah, a vampire, is fulfilling a favor asked of him by Chris Bentley, the grand witch, and offering his assistance for the upcoming trial and a dinner invitation for Tyrrell. Tanner is the only single Calhoun brother left and though he knows this will lead to his mate, he follows through. However, that doesn't mean he's going to easily accept what fate has planned for him. That is, until he meets her.

Tanner and Giyanna, along with Tyrrell, uncover secrets exposing things about Rogan that his siblings didn't even know. And Giyanna and Tyrrell share their own experiences as to things they discovered when they were younger, things they can't help but regret not sharing with anyone since. But how do you turn someone in when no one, not even those in authority, are willing to move forward with your accusations and/or proof?

As Tanner and Giyanna get to know one another and begin exploring their new lives as a mated couple, they must also keep Giyanna safe and find what they need to make sure Rogan is found guilty and his victims are given justice for what he did.

Can Tanner protect Giyanna? Will Rogan finally pay for his actions? Will Giyanna and Tyrrell return home permanently once Rogan is no longer a threat? Will Tanner and Giyanna get their HEA? What does the future hold for the Calhoun family?

One-click now and follow along as two people are brought together by dangerous circumstances and discover their destiny.

Loved it, Great ending to a great series

Tanner brings the Calhoun men series to an end. Chris Bentley does a little meddling, to be sure Tanner is ready to meet his mate.
Giyanna and her older twin brother have come home to defend their heated older brother. Giyanna and Tyrell want to be sure that Rogan pays for his crimes.
Tanner knew his mate was coming, he's not ready, until he meets her. Giyanna is everything he dreamed his mate would be.
Tanner and the rest of the Calhoun clan help Tyrell and Giyanna find happiness again. They support them through the worst of Rogan's abuse e demands. Peace in facing the guilt for not doing something sooner.
Great ending to the series, though bittersweet. Going to miss the Calhoun family and the pop ins of Maura and Chris Bentley.

Another series comes to an end and we way goodbye to some old friends. I always hate when the series ends. Even thought I know the story can't continue forever , I still hate when it happens. Tanner is the last Calhoun brother to find his mate, his mate Giyanna comes with a nice brother and a brother that is closely related to the devil. Abused in her childhood, she doesn't trust easily and big men frighten her. The Calhoun family is filled with big men , are loud and nothing like she is used too. Tanner will do what he can to help his mate get closure, even considering moving away from his family to Giyanna's home in Ireland if that's what it takes to make her happy. Another intense storyline filled with lots of information and some interesting drama. The high witch Chris's brightly colored sidekick makes some interesting things happen for Tanner and always make me smile when she pops into the storyline. Easy to read, fast paced and as always we get a look farther in the future. The ending mad me sad but I understood the reasoning. Looking forward to what Ms. Barton comes up with next.
I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion.

Tanner is the final book in the Calhoun series and the last of the brothers to find his mate.
Tanner from a young age always knew he wanted to be an attorney. He's been set in his way and doesn't think he has anything to offer a mate. Love and children aren't something that Tanner can offer.

Giyanna fled Ohio at the age of 17 to Ireland to escape the clutches of her older and abusive brother. She hasn't seen her twin Tyrrell since then and is finally being asked to return home to help Tyrrell with the case against their older brother. Suffering the abuse of her older brother has left it's mark on Giyanna and she's terrified of people, especially larger men.

When Tanner and Giyanna are pushed together Tanner is starting to discover that having a mate won't be such a bad thing. However, he must help Giyanna and Tyrrell fight their demons and help them to move away from the past and look to the future.

This book was such a tear jerker, well at least the ending was. It's nice to see another series come to an end and all the brother find their mates and how each mate brings their own personality to the family.

2 Tissues!

Tanner didn't think that he wanted to met his mate; but once he did he was that much better for it.

Giyanna had once upon a time grew up in Tanner's hometown but at a very young age & after being beat up by her older & very mean brother she left &hasn't been back since.

But, now that she is back she finds not only Tanner but a reason to stand up to her evil older brother.

This book was very good but also very sad (at least the ending was very sad) but you'll have to read the book to find out why. I enjoyed getting to know this family as well as some of their friends; this book has a couple of non-descriptive sex scenes & a tiny good vs bad plot.

The last of the Calhoun sons finds his mate. Tanner knew his mate was on her way and when he laid eyes on her, he was completely lost. Giynna stole his heart and made Tanner's life complete. Giynna's twin brother Tyrrell also gets a big surprise in this last book. I am sad to see this series come to an end, yet it's always nice to read how all the characters have gotten on after so many years. Being that the Calhoun clan are all immortal, we got a look at the future for all of them. Though some of it is sad. It's been a fun journey with these wolf shifters!

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. What an amazing conclusion to this series. Finally Tanner gets his HEA with his true mate Giyanna all while dealing with her disturbed older brother. The ending of this book had me in tears. It is hard to say goodbye to characters that have played such a big role in a series. Can't wait read what Ms. Barton writes next!

The last book of the Calhoun series. Really good ending of the series it even made me cry and I hate crying. I should have not read the end before bed time!
This is a bit off a disturbing story.
Also a heart breaking story about Giyanna and her twin Tyrrell. I have had a lot of anger, sadness and the need for justice in this book.
justice will be served one way or the other. It always does.
Great ending of a amazing series.
