Lyra Parish has strummed all the right chords as she captures the hearts of her readers in her newest rock star romance, ACE. In this sizzling and sexy romance, Ms. Parish ignites a fiery passion of two hearts discovering that together they can compose the greatest gift of all.. the music of love.

photo f5cb597a5173eeb9f554a5c7334c4e_zpsar5obrwb.gif “Elizabeth’s presence was like a giant wave in my normally steady ocean. While most women threw themselves at me, she was too busy trying to get away. Elizabeth Riley intrigued the shit out of me.”

ACE is the first book to kick off the Band of Brothers Series. In this rock star romance, Ms. Parish introduces readers to a band that is composed of brothers who are on a nation wide tour. Ace Hathway is the lead singer and guitarist of the band and happens to be the youngest brother. Ace is the quintessential bad boy rock star who has a never ending of line of women ready to jump into his bed. As a man known for never doing repeats, Ace also has a reputation of never doing interviews.

#ACE

Elizabeth Riley works for an indie music magazine and she gets her first real assignment to go on tour to get the inside scoop of Band of Brothers. Her editor hopes she can get a one on one interview with Ace since he is known as the private person of the band. So on her first day on tour with the band, Elizabeth is well aware that this interview and editorial piece could help her move on up in the publishing world in order to land her dream job at the The Rolling Stones. Focus as ever, Elizabeth doesn't want to get distracted with lusting over the band members and so she keeps to herself that is until she catches the eye of the bad boy lead singer, Ace.

photo f5cb597a5173eeb9f554a5c7334c4e_zpsar5obrwb.gif “I liked that we didn't need words to tumble across the moment; instead we enjoyed the companionable silence.”

When Ace catches Elizabeth strumming to the guitar and singing, Ace was immediately drawn to Elizabeth. He enjoyed the fact that she didn't throw herself at him like the other women. Her innocence and raw beauty ignited something inside of Ace. So when Ace and Elizabeth begins to spend more time together, the walls that Ace built surrounding his heart begins to crumble when he sees that Elizabeth is an honest and caring person. As Elizabeth and Ace begin this is new uncharted territory in their relationship, deep feelings begin to emerge. And so what happens when Elizabeth's boss discovers that she has been secretly having a relationship with Ace? Will Elizabeth be forced to end her relationship with Ace?

photo f5cb597a5173eeb9f554a5c7334c4e_zpsar5obrwb.gif “Elizabeth was transforming me into the man I always wanted to be for a woman. I would be that man, if she would give me the chance.”

ACE is your sweet and sexy rock star romance. This book was a quick read for me since I found the story line entertaining and love seeing a bad boy rocker turn into a knight in shining in armor. So if you are ready to get in touch with your inner fan girl and swoon for a band of brothers who will know the right chords to your HEA hearts then ACE is the book for you.

I love rock stars and this was quite different from what I've read so far.
Ace Hathway is your usual famous rocker. His band draws thousands of fans to every concert and their fame precedes them. Ace has one rule though; he never talks to journalists, he never gives interviews. His routine is going to break when Elizabeth Riley joins them on tour.
Elizabeth is an editor for a magazine, but she had to replace her friend in covering the band's tour. She is reluctant. She isn't a fan. She is shy. Her only company in the tour will be her guitar.
When she meets Ace, she is not impressed, but she cannot deny his charm. She knows that it will be tricky to interview him and she knows that she will lose her job if she doesn't.
Ace finds himself at a crossroad. Elizabeth is not his type. She is not the woman he would choose for his casual hook ups after a concert. Yet, he finds himself gravitating towards her.

"You're interesting, Elizabeth Riley."
"No, I'm not. I'm a girl who loves to play music and loves to write. There's nothing interesting about that."
"We'll see about that, won't we?"

Our hero's feelings are mixed up. He doesn't want to be attracted to this woman, a journalist nonetheless, yet he cannot stay away.

"Nik, I don't fucking think so. She's blonde. You know how I feel about them. Not.My.Type.
She's practically helpless. She's clumsy and homely. Way too shy. No backbone unless she has shots. She's everything I don't like or want. Complete opposite of my type actually.

They spend time together and Ace gets to see the real Elizabeth. Elizabeth will come to discover that Ace is not what everybody thinks he is. While discovering Ace, she will discover herself. She will allow herself to fall for the bad boy and egotistical guy that she'd never look at before.
Will she finally be able to break down Ace's walls? It's never too late for change and Ace will come to realize that through his strong feelings for the girl who is definitely not his type.

Elizabeth inspired me. She made me want to play and write and sing loud enough for the entire world to hear. It was odd to think, but when did I become the chaser instead of the chased?

I loved how the author brought these two together. She made two completely different people click with ease and I loved how they came closer. Music was the catalyst for these two beautiful souls to become one and it was inspiring to see how both of them shed their pasts and insecurities. What a fantastic journey! If you love rockers, then you will love Ace!!!

I highly enjoyed Ace by Lyra Parish but as I read it. I felt like the story plot line was similar to Rock The Heart by Michelle A. Valentine which I loved. This book did get me out of my book funk. I enjoyed Ace's point of view but my mind kept going back to the story before.

I love a romantic story where a bad boy rocker falls hard for a girl. Ace isn't so likable at the beginning of his story. He's the stereotypical rocker who takes advantage of the groupies who fling themselves at them. When we get a closer look at him, Ace is tiring of all that. He meets Elizabeth who is on tour to write about him and his Band of Brothers. I really loved Elizabeth. She was smart and sassy and fell reluctantly head over heart for this complicated rocker. I so adored who Ace was with her. Romantic and super sexy. They were perfect together and I so enjoyed their story.

I give Ace 4 hearts!

This is far from the typical rock story and while Ace is the typical rockstar in many respects, he is also so different.
I know there are only so many ways to write about sexed up rock god and shy retiring woman, we have all read them before but this is one rock god you would dismiss at your peril, because Ace is more than able to dispel any cobwebs you may have hanging around, there is nothing quintessential about him, he may fit the jeans but that doesn’t mean he has to fit the mould!
Until Elizabeth, Ace has systematically followed the path that they all do, different town, different gig, different girl and that is fine by him…until Elizabeth entered the fray, because then all bets are off and he is catapulted into a whole different world of hurt and longing!
Elizabeth lands a job that while it may have been the desire of many and thousands would have probably given their right arm for, but she is far from impressed with her latest assignment.
Ace has an inherent loathing of reporters and to be frank, would normally be best kept out of reach most of the time but staying away from Elizabeth is not an option.
I loved the fact that she battled to hide her distain almost as much as he battled to stay away, neither of them were ever going to win but it was fun watching them try!
The story is set around the band and while I liked the whole band dynamic, I am a bit of a rock wh**e really, I hold my hands up and admit that if I had to describe this book in just a few words I would say it was an out and out romance.
It might not be your typical, run of the mill romance but it is every bit as romantic as you could ever want it to be.
Ace and Elizabeth are not your normal couple and it is a good thing that opposites attract because this pair in a different light would have never made it to first base, never mind setting the pages alight!
There is drama, yes but it is not particularly angst riddled which I really enjoyed, there were some touchingly emotional scenes and when I read, the line ( I do not highlight or book mark lines but this was a beauty!!!) “Ace Hathway has a heart. You have to know where to find it." I knew they were where they needed to be, she understood him and he was willing to let her in to see the man underneath the image.
I love a rock romance as much as the next woman, and if this is just the start of the series, I just would love to say let the swooning commence…this is a fabulous read that owes it to the emotion that the author is able to inject into her story, the words flow and the story doesn’t seem to falter, we watch as they pick up the kindling of a fledging romance and forge it into the experience that they both need and deserve.
A sexy read that will leave you counting the days until the next of the Band of Brothers spring to life!

When the book I am reading begins with the hero screwing someone that's not the heroine I tend to close the book and bury it somewhere I will never find it again. Things are even worse when he doesn't make sure that she is having a good time too. It makes me wonder what kind of lover the hero is. Things get even better when he has a second conquest and almost a third. I know that some of you find this a ridiculous reason to say that I didn't like something in a book, but this is my review and my opinion which means that I am writing about my dislikes and likes. Yes, I don't want to read about the hero or the heroine doing someone other than each other. I am tired of that.

That rocky start was probably the reason I couldn't get into the story and I found myself reading the book out of obligation for almost half of it. It's hard for me to read a book where I have lost some of my respect for the hero. I just didn't believe him when he was saying that he was tired of the one night stands. I never swooned over him and I don't think I ever will when I see him in the next books. Our heroine Elizabeth is so much nicer as a character. I liked her, even though she needed a backbone.

The secondary characters are the ones that I loved seeing the most. They have different personalities and each one can have me interested in them. I can't wait for their books. My favorites are Jenny and Rex. I guess that the next book will be about Nik and Miley and I really want to read it.

I really enjoyed Ace and Elizabeth's story. My initial reaction to Ace was exactly like Elizabeth's feelings, but as Elizabeth peeled away Ace's rocker persona and got to know the man he truly is outside of the Band of Brothers, he definitely grew on me, and his manwhore actions made a lot more sense once readers were given his back story.

Elizabeth is the exact opposite of everything that Ace usually wants in his one night stands, which proves that his attraction to her is already changing him for the better. Even before Elizabeth, Ace knew that the physical relationships he'd been having with his groupies didn't do anything for him but leave him with feelings of guilt and disgust over his actions, so finally wanting someone for something other than a sexual release proves that Ace is so much more than a playboy rock star - now all he has to do is prove it to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Riley would rather blend into the crowd than stand out, but as the Band of Brothers’ newest traveling journalist/photographer, she has to shed her introverted demeanor and put herself out there in multiple ways, making her uncomfortable and intriguing Jasper at the same time. Elizabeth’s Ace’s antithesis but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her attention…from wanting to know what she feels like beneath him…from wanting more than he’s wanted with a woman since his ex-girlfriend broke his heart.

Ace is a great look into the rocker lifestyle and what happens when bands strike it big. Ace is so much more than his public persona, but that’s all his fans see and he’s fine with that until Elizabeth truly sees the man behind the microphone, and he makes him want to change his ways, so he can break Elizabeth out of her shell and attempt for once to have a meaningful relationship.

Because of Ace’s stardom as well as how different his lifestyle is from Elizabeth’s, it’s going to take a lot of patience and trust to move forward as anything more than a fling. They’ll be tested by a number of outside forces, causing them both to question how a relationship can exist between them, but Ace and Elizabeth share a passion for music and also feel something for each other that they haven’t felt in a long time so the obstacles they face will show if they have what it takes to stay together regardless of the fame, traveling, and groupies that could get in their way.

We first meet Ace and his brothers at a concert that they are preforming. We meet Elizabeth while she is running late for a last minute mandatory meeting. When Elizabeth was told that she is going to be touring with The Band of Brothers. She is terrified about going on tour with them as she has never been on tour before. When she called her friend and asked her why she recommended her. When Ace sees her standing in a corner, he wants to know who she is and she has to ask Miley.
Elizabeth is 24 years old, she works for Parish magazine. Was raised on oldies, she was taught to play guitar by her father. She is an introvert, and a really good photographer. Ace is the lead singer of Band of Brothers. Man whore. He is the youngest of the brothers at the age of 24. Plays the guitar and the piano. Nik is Ace's big brother at the age of 26, he is part of the band of brothers. Rex and Jex's younger brother. Rex is Jex's twin, likes to annoy Jex. He is the complete opposite of Jex. The Drummer of Band of Brother's. Jex is the serious twin. Part of band of brothers. Jules is pregnant, recommended for Elizabeth to take the tour, Elizabeth's friend, is on bed rest. Jenny is sweet and the audio engineer for the Band of Brothers. Ben is an audio engineer for the Band of Brothers. Henry is an audio engineer for the Band of brothers. Romeo is a very nice guy. Jack is Elizabeth's boss, he hates when people are late, doesn't like Elizabeth. Miley is the tour manager for the Band of Brothers. She has a horrible temper.
This is my first book by Lyra Parish and I can honestly say that this book will not be my last. It's very well written and the characters are very well developed. I found that this book was very hard for me to put down. I loved that I felt very connected to the characters.

I want to be a photographer and/or journalist when I grow up.
I want to be on tour with the Band of Brothers!
I mean, who wouldn't want to tour with these hot, fun, sexy guys.
I laughed at the brothers' antics because it reminded me of my relationship with my siblings.
You can feel their bond.

Elizabeth Riley works at PHASE which is like Rolling Stone but on a lower scale.
She is sent to go on tour with Band of Brothers since her best friend is on maternity leave.
Elizabeth is timid, shy, and doesn't realize how beautiful and talented she is.

Ace is the "bad boy" of the band or so he wants people to think.
He doesn't do relationships, just one night stands with groupies.
Ace had his heart crushed 5 years ago and vowed never to fall in love again.

What happens when you say relationships are not for me? Love doesn't exist?
I loved this book because the characters were so relatable.
You were laughing with them, hand over heart when something sad happened, or swooning over the words coming from Ace's mouth.

Love can sneak up on when you're resisting.
Lyra Parish is a new author to me and I can see how talented she is.
I can't wait for the rest of the Band of Brothers and fingers crossed a Jenny book too!

I received this book for an honest review.

I like a little bit of rocker in my life now and then, and Ace certainly didn’t disappoint. Yes, Ace Hathaway is your typical bad-boy-front-man-in-a-band-new-girl-every-night-of-the-week kinda guy, but when public enemy #1 journalist Elizabeth Riley joins the tour, it certainly shows us a side to Ace that no one else had ever seen.

This is my first book by Lyra Parish, and I have to say that I really enjoyed her writing. She is descriptive enough that it keeps me engaged, but not overly to the point where I am skipping chunks just to move the story along. The characters are well developed, have a solid background and strong personalities which make them really good quality lead characters. The story was a great mix of laughter, anger, romance and ANTICIPATION! Holy smokes, I thought I was going to combust waiting for it! Talk about tension! Wowza!!! She also did a great job in pulling the secondary characters into the story, leading into the next books in the series. Overall, great book and I look forward reading more about the Band of Brothers!

ARC received for honest review

Ace Hathaway, sexy lead singer of Band of Brothers known for never dating, just one night stands. That is until journalist Elizabeth Riley is assigned to follow the tour for her magazine. Not a rock chick, Ace is fascinated by her. She tries to not get pulled in by his charm and be one of his groupies. But he doesn’t make that easy.

I’ve read a lot of rocker books and there is always angst and so much drama. Not here. This story of Ace and Elizabeth sucked me in from the first page. He is not written as the typical rocker but better. The chemistry written between the two characters was amazing. It felt real and drama free and you couldn’t help but fall in love with Ace.

Lyra Parish you totally rocked this book! Ace may be my new fave character of yours. Something about him and the way you made him seem genuine struck a chord with me. I can’t wait to see what you do with the rest of the Brothers! Rex and Jex crack me up! Their story should be epic. Thank you for bringing us Band of Brothers. I can’t wait to read more.

The story is set around the band of brothers but focuses on Ace and Elizabeth 's story. Ace is a hot rock star sourounded by groupies, a different town, a different girl. Elizabeth is a shy journalist/photographer who is handed the job of a lifetime, though she is out of her comfort zone. Ace has a loathing of journalists but staying away from Elizabeth is not an option.
Wow, a fab start to a new series, I devoured this book in one sitting. It's not your typical romance, but romantic nontheless. There's plenty of drama, hot sex and lots of swooning! This is an amazing read that suck's you in within the first few lines. If you love rock stars (even if you dont) one click this book, you won't be disappointed.

First off, I do not read many rock star books, but I love Lyras writing so I had to read Ace. I am so glad that I did, she did not disappoint!! Ace and his 3 very hot brothers are in a band named Band Of Brothers. Ace is a manwhore, but he hates it. Elizabeth is an editor that gets thrust into being a reporter on tour with the band. She is an introvert that can take the most beautiful pictures.Ace does not do the relationship thing, or blondes, yet a beautiful blonde catches his attention from the word go. Will Elizabeth change Ace's mind on love? Is Ace capable of love? im not telling~! read this fantastic book to find out!!

I think Ace enjoys showing Elizabeth the affect she has on him, "great, I'd have blue balls once again, and Elizabeth Riley was to blame. "You did this," I said, glancing down to the bulge in my pants." Ace always has a plan to keep his woman from her woes:
"I'll kiss away your anger."
"What if it doesn't work?"
"Then I'll eff it away."
I enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the rest of the band to get their stories because you couldn't help but fall in love with each of them.

Ace by Lyra Parish was a hot and sexy 5 star Rockstar romance. I loved Ace.
Romance, Hot Alpha Rockstar

This ain’t no fairy tale. It was never meant to be. Prince Charming is really a nightmare. That Prince Charming is me.

Wow, when I first started reading I thought what a dick, but as I got to know the real Ace there was so much more to him.

This is Ace and Elizabeth’s story told in alternating POV’s.
Ace is the lead singer of Band of Brothers and is a one night stand guy, with no kissing (too personal). “It’s called being a rock star, or a cock star as I like to call them.”

Elizabeth is a journalist that has been told she is going on tour with the band. Elizabeth studys the band and their music before joining them on the road.
‘Too many people were ready to put out and I didn’t want them to put in, if you know what I mean. I didn’t want a random relationship. It needed to be meaningful or it was a waste of my time. Who has time for one-night stands? The answer was clear: Rock Stars.’

Elizabeth catches Ace’s attention and can’t seem to shake him. He agrees to give her an interview on one condition, lose one piece of clothing for each question. How bad does she need this interview, will she go through with it? Ace is struggling with his need for Elizabeth, he has to know everything about her. His pursuit was cute and relentless.

"great, I'd have blue balls once again, and Elizabeth Riley was to blame. "You did this," I said, glancing down to the bulge in my pants."

I really enjoyed Elizabeth's strength when it came to Ace, she made him work for it. There of course are a couple of twists thrown in to complicate things. The connection they have is so hot and the sex was off the charts hot and sexy. This was a great romance with a HEA. There is not cliffhanger although I wouldn’t mind seeing a little more from these two. I look forward to reading more from the Band of Brothers series. Thank you Lyra Parish for a great read.

I love rock star books and the story was ok but it didn't suck me in. The beginning of the book was good but the ending, not so much. Ace, the hero, is a rock star who sleeps around with a lot of women but he hates himself for it. He does it because he's lonely. He's in a band with his brothers and they call themselves "The Band of Brothers." I know, original right? Call me slow but it took me almost half the book to figure out that was the band name. Anyway, their band has been together touring for 2 years and of course Ace is the lead singer.

Elizabeth, the heroine, is an editor for a magazine, PHASE, but she is sent to write a story on the Band of Brothers. Ace is intrigued with Elizabeth at first sight but when he finds out that she's a reporter, he knows that she's off limits. Elizabeth loves to sing and play guitar but she's too afraid of playing in front of a crowd, when Ace hears her playing behind the bus he wants her even more. Ace was hurt by a woman in the past and Elizabeth is the only woman who hasn't thrown herself at Ace in a long time. The book was fine but I couldn't connect with the book and the pace was way too slow. By the middle of the book I was skimming through the book because nothing was happening.

There was also a slight problem that bugged me in the beginning of the book. Ace called a woman a slut and she didn't deserve it. They slept together and he kicked her out of bed. She didn't do anything to him, she just asked him to get her off after he had an orgasm and he called her a slut. I personally had a problem with it because a woman should not be slut shamed. A girl should be allowed to enjoy sex just as much as the next guy. Giving your partner an orgasm after you've had one is just common curtsy.

The end of the book annoyed me.

*spoiler free*

I love me a good rockstar book and this is no exception!

Ace Hathway is out on stage every night with his brothers and every night there's a new woman ready to spend the night with him. Ace is tired of living that way however, he misses the connection, one he hasn't allowed himself since his last break up. He closes himself off and puts everything into his lyrics instead.
Elizabeth Riley works for the magazine PHASE and when her boss sends her on tour with the band Band of Brothers she isn't exactly overjoyed about the prospect of being on tour with a bunch of rockers, she's determined to do her work right though and get what no one else has before, an interview with Ace Hathway.
Elizabeth is not Ace's type, but for some reason he can't stay away from her.

"You're interesting, Elizabeth Riley."
"No, I'm not. I'm a girl who loves to play music and loves to write. There's nothing interesting about that."

Both are trying to deny that there's anything between them.
But before long they both have to give up and see if there's more there or not. Will Elizabeth fall for the bad boy rocker and Ace for the opposite of what he though he wanted.

What I liked about this book is that it's a rocker story, but yet it's different. The girl isn't falling for his charm right away, instead she's just trying to do her job and same goes for Ace. While he might like to tease her a bit he doesn't go straight for Elizabeth just because he has to prove to himself or anyone that he can. It takes time for both of them to find their way. It isn't exactly your "typical" rockstar book in the best way. Definitely a bit different from others I have read so it was a nice change to read it. To keep it spoiler free won't reveal too much, but I liked that we actually get to see them together instead of the whole they sleep together and then something goes wrong and in the end they're back together without even seeing the couple together and experience their happiness- this however offers that and I loved that.
Also while Ace was one awesome rockstar I can't wait for the next books either! The twins cracked me up, so hilarious.

A must for anyone who likes rockstar books! Great characters, good writing and awesome story.

"You're interesting, Elizabeth Riley.... No, I'm not. I'm a girl who loves to play music and loves to write." As much as these two needed each other, each was hell bent on doing a job and getting out. That's what made the chemistry spark and the chase even better. The rocker and the reporter... Ace & Elizabeth couldn't be more different and alike if they tried. They just needed to get out of each other's way in order to see that they have way more in common than they think.
Ace's character was just another typical rocker on the surface. Fast times, booze and women were all he had to focus on from town to town. But deep down his love was just simply the music. He loved the crowds and the vibe he got playing live, but the thrill was being able to sing and have others understand his music was really all he wanted. Enter Elizabeth Riley...
I really liked Elizabeth's character. She was driven and determined to make this new assignment for the summer work and have her career skyrocket! She's used to working on a team to promote the bands at PHASE magazine, not report on them. This new adventure would be the most challenging and get could be the serious nudge she needs to break out of he shadows and come into her own.
These two are so complex yet so transparent. All they need to do is get out of their own heads and just allow themselves to feel what's going on around them. They are so in tune with what they love most... Music. It's the serious love of the music that allows Ace & Elizabeth to finally break out of their shells and become something much more than was planned that summer.
I really liked this book! The characters were great and had so much development. The story so totally ROCKED! I mean who doesn't want a seriously hot rocker trying to figure them out?? Ummmmm, yes please!!! I have been a fan of Lyra's for awhile now and was so happy to read this book because it did not disappoint! Fantastic read, easy story line and a lot of big band fun. 4.5 star read and total recommend. - FMR Book Grind

*I received an eARC from the author in exchange of an honest review.

I was going into this book mentally prepared to face an a**hole of epic proportions that would somewhat evolve around 60% into the storyline so he could have a chance at finding Mrs. Forever. I can say I haven't been more wrong in my life and I'm very grateful for that.

Ace turned out to be a very gentle, sweet and charismatic guy. His douche phase only lasted as far as the third chapter. After that was over, there was witty conversations and amazing getaways with his crush. There was also a bit of drama towards the end, but you'll live.

Elizabeth was cute and could be very headstrong in some situations, but didn't have a backbone. I still don't think she has one, even with the ending. I hated that she just sat there and took what Jack was telling her to do. I do understand that the situation got resolved, but I would have liked it better if it wasn't electronically. What happened to the satisfaction of looking into someone's eyes and denying them what they so desperately want?

I enjoyed this novel very much. I can't wait for the next book in this series to release. I have an inkling of who the second book is going to be about and I'm very curious about what's going to happen next.

My Favorite Quotes:

"This ain't no fairy tale. It was never meant to be. Prince Charming is really a nightmare."

"Love is an emotion that runs deep. It can warm a person at night or freeze them to the core. Love can be kind or it can be destructive."

"People often say money can't buy happiness, and believe me when I say that's true. Happiness was something that came from within."

Journey to a world of sex and rock and roll....and intensify that by 100! A world where every beat of the written drum is felt in your heart and thighs.. where every note carries to your panties...and has you heated...

Ace is my favorite Rocker Read of THE YEAR!!! He's your typical rock star... Hot, sexy... and definitely not what you want you bring home to mom.. but you damn sure will sneak him into your window and let him have his wicked way with you.. In an EPIC first book of the series, Band of Brothers, we meet Ace.. same songs, different woman each concert... until... her

Elizabeth... trying to get ahead but with a road block of a boss.. its not looking so good.. By sheer circumstance she gets almost the job of a lifetime... too bad its with a rock star. Sure she knows music, but she also knows the shenanigans behind the music.. Putting her best foot foward, she struggles to conceal her feelings to Ace.. and the groupies.

These two are an epic couple.. The Rock God and the Anti Rock Chick (with skills of her own by the way) I love the push and pull of this book, but more importantly, I love the story. While its a Rock Romance... its not typical.. There is depth and emotions and yes.... hot and heavy sexiness that has you pining.. Theres drama.. and I can promise.. throat punch quickly became my favorite term... This really isnt just a sexy read, its a feel good romance story that we get to experience from start to finish, ending with a contented sigh and you desperately wanting to know the rest of the band!!

I love a good rockstar story and this was definitely a good book with interesting and different characters. What I really loved though about this book was ACE wasnt a bad boy rocker in the sense of him being a huge man whore on drugs like in most books. ACE was just someone who loved his music and that's what he wanted to spend all his time and focus on, Because of this he was very short and standoffish with people which made it seem like he was cruel and nasty.
I loved ACE's fascination with Elizabeth. She was someone very different to what he was used to and watching him try to understand and persue her was very sweet and endearing.
Elizabeth was a shy journalist, but what I really liked about her was she didn't care who ACE was. She really made him work for her attention and time. I loved that she had the strength to do this and not just fall at his feet without evening trying.
Their connection was very strong and they were both very interesting characters.
I liked that the author told the story in duel POV as it made connecting with the characters a lot easier. The twists and turns kept the story flowing easily and kept it interesting. The writing by the author was as good as always.
I can't wait to read the other band members stories as ACE's story was definitely worth the wait.

What would you do if your dream comes true, you get to tour with an amazing rock band and write about it for the magazine you work for? What you don’t expect is to be attracted to the womanizing lead singer? How do you keep your objectivity? Elizabeth finds herself on tour with Band of Brothers, following her passion for music. Ace, the lead singer, is the notorious womanizer that never gives interviews yet Elizabeth has been tasked to get an interview with him. What Elizabeth doesn’t expect is to be blown away by Ace’s passion and charisma on stage since Band of Brothers music isn’t her first listening choice. Ace avoids all reporters but he catches Elizabeth in a musical moment of her own and now he’s intrigued to know more. So how can Ace get to know Elizabeth without giving an interview? Will Elizabeth allow herself to fall under Ace’s spell? This is a wonderful rocker romance that gave me several surprises as we got to know Ace and Elizabeth. Ace has many layers to him that shaped his behaviors and he has to be willing to face the hurts of his past to find a way forward. Elizabeth, well, she is challenged with how getting close to Ace could disrupt her career. I love how their romance unfurled through innocent moments that could happen in anyone’s life. Along with a great supporting cast, this was a fabulous romance to dive into and get lost in.

Ace is a typical cocky asshole lead singer, what you see it what you get. He loves his lifestyle, hates his love life or sex life in his case and is bored with his one night stander.

He meets Elizabeth who has been sent to interview him, she's different from any of the other girls he has met, Elizabeth actually doesn't care who he is and will not kiss his ass.

Unfortunately this story is nothing new or exciting.
Rock star meets average girl falls in love and that pretty much the whole story.
It's a good read not great, you will enjoy it if you love rock-star story.

~I did this all for the music, not for the fame. Music was the only constant in all of this.
Wanna know what my favorite thing about the rock n roll romance was? It's that Ace wasn't strung out on drugs, he wasn't an alcoholic, he wasn't even really that much of a man whore. It was SO nice to read a rocker romance where the lead wasn't a dick or druggie!!! He was a genuinely nice although standoffish person. He didn't like intimacy, he didn't kiss the girls, and he didn't care what you thought! His life was the music.
Until he met Elizabeth Anne (my daughters name, even spelled the same, LOL) Riley. She was a journalist with a music magazine, and scheduled to go on tour with the band...yeah, I know..I thought the SAME thing..here we go, another book like every other rock n romance I've read...but NO, it's not really. It was a great story that really just focused on the relationship. The ins and outs of Ace and Elizabeth coming together and real life getting in the way.
I am a suspense junky, so all I'm gonna say is that I really wish this story would have jumped a little more in that direction...but it's great the way it is, too...and I will most definitely read the rest of the series!

Holy moly is this book fasted paced! It goes and goes, there is no pausing, no lulls, no dragging, no $200, no passing go... just directly to eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Ace is my first Lyra Parish book, but it will not be my last.

Ace Hathaway is "that rocker." All the girls want a piece of him, and by golly, he'll change and fall in love with them. Mmmmkaaaaayyyyyy. Sorry Charlie (or Bambi, Candy, Mandy, whatever), you ain't Elizabeth. She is awesome-sauce. Proof again that it pays to not throw yourself at people, Elizabeth is determined to make a name for herself (honestly) with this tour. She's going to make music-magazine history and she's not going to let some jerk get in her way. But, she's also petrified and her vulnerability is endearing.

Ace is, of course, bored with the constant revolving door that is his love-life but he ain't settlin' down! Of course, when Elizabeth isn't throwing herself at his feet he is shocked. I gotta say, no matter how many times I see this, I love it. Because it's so TRUE! Too many guys are SHOCKED when we don't fall all over ourselves to get a taste of what they have to offer. And I LOVE watching them fall. And boy-o what a fall it was <3

The chemistry between H&h is so much fun and their bedroom scenes? WHOO! Smokin'!

Some of my favorite books are rock star romances. so when this book crossed my path, I knew I had to read it. I was hooked almost immediately. I loved Ace. Ace's character was so raw and real. He seemed like an a-hole rock-star but since his band mates were his brothers, you got to see a caring, more "normal" guy as well.

Elizabeth was also a great character and well developed. She was thrown into situations what she had no control over. I liked that she was a strong character but also lacked confidence. Meaning she wasn't "the perfect woman" even as a book character.

Overall, this story was gold. The pacing was spot on and it was fun to read. It was full of behind the scenes into a concert tour and it also gave a behind the scene look at journalism. Add another rock star romance to my favorite books shelve.

4 1/2 stars!
Great start of a new series that left me looking forward to the future installments.
Ace is your typical rock star god who has meaningless sex with groupies and has always been happy with that. He doesn't let any of them get close to him, they don't know or want the real him anyway. They want who they see on stage so that's what he gives them. Recently though, he's noticed something lacking in these sexual experiences but he can't put his finger on it.
Elizabeth is a journalist who is assigned to tour with Band of Brothers. She goes into it only knowing what she's read in the tabloids and has no interest in getting involved with a rock star. The fact that she runs from him is the reason Ace finds her interesting.
When she starts getting to know the real Ace, she finds he isn't at all what she thought he was. He feels like he can let his walls down around her. But dating a rock star isn't easy so they have a rough road ahead of them.
I'm excited to read about the other brothers finding love in the next books!

Ace is a rock star. He's part of Band of Brothers. He's a player and has a different woman each night after his concerts. He doesn't do interviews with the media. Elizabeth is an editor for a magazine. She is used to doing the behind the scenes of the articles but when her her is out on sick leave she has to go on tour with Band of Brothers. She's a little shy and awkward and definitely isn't prepared for the feelings she has for Ace. Ace is immediately takes a liking to Elizabeth. Their chemistry together is great. Elizabeth is great and she doesn't fall over Ace right away like most woman do. At first I wasn't sure if Elizabeth was just a challenge to him but Ace is deeper then I thought. Ace has a past that has shaped him but with Elizabeth he wants to be different.

I loved it. It's a sweet story with some bumps along the way.

A copy was received for a review.

Elizabeth was less then trilled finding out that she'd have to go on tour to get the inside scoop of the Band of Brothers and try to get a interview of Ace. Ace refuses to be interviewed and has his set lifestyle of singing and sleeping with a different girl. Elizabeth is the exact opposite of the the girls he's normally attracted to. Then there was a moment where Ace got to see Elizabeth and slowly change his mind, and maybe the way he was living wasn't enough anymore.

I liked this book, it was enjoyable. In the beginning I didn't very much like Ace, I actually though of him the same way that Elizabeth though. I liked Elizabeth's character her slowly gaining confidence in herself. I liked seeing Aces character slowly make himself into a better man. I loved their relationship and how not everything was perfect. I love that there was enough drama to keep things interesting. Overall a really great book I really enjoyed it.
