Stone Wright is Foreplay’s hottest act. While entertaining at the popular L.A. strip club known for catering to the feminine wild, the fever-inducing Aussie with the sex-saturated accent and moves to match is preparing for the audition of a lifetime on the sensational hit reality show Then Prove You Can Dance.

When retired principal dancer and ballerina Emilie Cartier stumbles into his dressing room, she’s still reeling from the one wrong spin that altered her entire life and obliterated her dreams.

After a humiliating public, albeit meteoric, orgasm—the kind so desperate to escape, it took over her body without her brain's permission—and a second, more intimate and deliriously deliberate one, Emilie makes a deal with Stone: he helps her get her dancing mojo back and she readies him for his national audition.

But she insists he keeps his wily, wandering hands to himself and his dirty mouth shut. Of course, that’s going to be an extremely hard challenge—one of herculean proportions.

Emilie is not prepared for Stone—the way he spins her mind dizzy, rocks her body into sweet oblivion or dirty dances into her every daydream—and falling in love with him is so definitely not an option.

The closer Stone gets to Emilie, the more he realizes he’d do anything to make her his own. Problem is, he’s a real f*ck-up with relationships. And that means he’s dangerously close to becoming her next major f*ck-up.

What happens when all of the emotional layers—along with the stage props, their dancewear and every last shred of their clothes—are ultimately stripped?

I mean...it was fun, but the talk was so cheesy! Her "kitty" and his "bohemoth" need to just stahp. A shit-ton of sex scenes, to the point that I started skimming. Still, the beginning was hilarious. I actually loved the stripper scenes. I've only ever been to a male strip club once in my life, and it was nothing like this!

It was a pleasant read with some funny and sexy moments that I truly enjoyed and it had a lot of potential, but I also had a couple of issues that made me lower my initial 4 star rating. I do believe that people will enjoy this one :)

Sexy and funny as hell!!! I didn't expect this to be so entertaining but it so was! I am a fan of this author and I was used to her heavier and more dramatic plots, but this book pleasantly surprised me.

We meet Emelie. Emelie is a former prima ballerina, but after an accident she is determined that she will never be able to dance again.
One night changes her whole world. Her best friend convinces her to go to a male revue club. She never expected to find Stone Wright in Foreplay. A dance gone wrong will thrill her and embarrass her at the same time.
Stone didn't expect to be enthralled by Emelie, but he finds himself completely charmed by the young woman. So, he does what he does best; he chases her and no one can stop him.

Emelie is my target.
I always hit my target.

When Emelie's fate brings Stone right back into her path, she has few choices; dance with him and live or walk away and be empty.

Stone Wright takes my breath away.

What will she choose?
The book is very sexy and humorous. I simply had a blast reading it! There is sensuality, dancing and a stripper that will make you blush! The writing draws you in from the first page and I had a lot of laughs reading about this unique couple. The secondary characters are fantastic too and the imaginary one of a kind.
If you want a steamy romance that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, then this is for you.
Do not miss it!

I was looking to find something that was fun and exciting after the highly intense novel that I finished a few days ago, and this book was perfect! As two young adults fight to choose in what direction their lives should go and not have their parents call all the shots, Emelie and Stone were perfectly matched. They meet at a strip club where Stone is obviously one of the hottest acts there. Emelie is entranced with the hot male as he performs for an exciting crowd, and when he singles her out and holds her in his arms an embarrassing moment occurs that is just so wild. It’s hours later and she still can’t stop thinking about the charismatic male. Stone feels the same way, and it’s only by a chance meeting that they encounter each other yet again. And, when given a proposition by Stone, how can Emelie possibly say “yes”? But, how can she say “no” either?

This was definitely one humorous novel. With Stone’s priceless Aussie take on things and with his oh so dirty mouth, he has Emelie laughlng and smiling throughout the novel. He’s such a great main character. He’s kind and caring. Sweet and passionate and not too hard on the eyes either. With his dark hair and blue eyes, Emelie just melts everytime she sees him. And, Emelie is one brave young woman. She’s beautiful and generous. Dedicated and a hard-worker. But, after her dream of becoming a ballerina is squashed because of a debilitating injury, she’s disappointed and lost after having to give up her life’s dream. But, through Stone she emerges into something more promising. A chance to live again. With Stone she once again finds herself.

The author writes a wonderful story of true love and life’s second chances. I loved the laugh-out-loud moments with these two and their sexy times were passionate but yet fun. Ms. Mousseau doesn’t write without a dull moment. From Emelie’s “kitten” and Stone’s “behemoth”, I found myself laughing my ass off. This was just what I needed to get me off the dark and dismal book train. Got to read me some more of this author’s work. Such a highly entertaining and amusing read!!!

And, that cover is oh so SEXY!!!!

Okay, so STRIPPED is basically an R-rated version of all those Step Up movies. And if you love those as much as I do, you'll like (maybe even love) this book. It was silly, funny, fluffy, and rather steamy at times. But it was also kind of dumb and silly and sometimes I found myself rolling my eyes at the steamy moments (honestly, I had to reread two of the scenes to figure out what the hell they were doing and how) and some of the dialogue was kind of rough.

But it would have been a solid three stars of fun if not for the nonsense that happens around the 90% mark. Without spoiling anything it just got a little too out there and crazy and kind of killed my good-times-I'm-not-taking-this-seriously vibes. And when we did get our ending it was a little too happy rainbows and sunshine but whatever.

If you want something pretty angst free, full of sexy flirty banter, dance moves you can almost picture in your head and some insta-lusting between a stripper and a ballerina, this is the book for you.

Hellooooo Stone Wright and his many, many penis euphemisms. He can certainly make me thunder down under anytime he pleases!

What makes a great book boyfriend? It can’t be the descriptions of his many muscles or his startling good looks. Those are easy to imagine honestly, the pretty boys of romance are as commonplace as commas in the swoony fiction we devour. It must be in the way they love their women. Or their cockiness and sweetness and the deliciously filthy things that spill from their mouths. Or the confusion over their feelings that can be so endearing. Or the obsessive need they have to be with the woman they choose. Or their spectacular moves in the bedroom (or out of it).

I don’t know. All I DO know is that Stone hit all of the above and I am completely obsessed. He was so incredibly sweet and honest about his feelings and he did so much to try and convince Emilie that they need to be together that I very nearly hated her – not that I’m jealous or anything. Simply spending any amount of time with her was a treat to him and getting to be inside his head was an exercise in falling hopelessly in love with a fictional character.

Emilie had a lot of pain to work through and she was endearingly awkward without being annoying. Once she started to find her confidence again it resulted in a wonderful back and forth between the two of them and the fire that burned between these two was intense. This book was hella hot, extremely funny and impossibly sweet at times. Mousseau once again did a brilliant job of creating stellar characters you can’t help but sink your teeth into.

If you’re looking to lose your heart to a man that is perfect in every way, read a story that will make you simultaneously swoon and laugh out loud and lose yourself in some epic romantic gestures then Stripped comes highly recommended.

Told from dual points of view, Stripped follows the story of Emilie and Stone. Emilie is at a crossroads in her life. Ever since experiencing a career altering injury, Emilie doesn’t know what to do with her life. So, she’s taking some time out and spending it with her best friend in LA; hoping that she’ll be able to figure things out. What she wasn’t prepared for was Stone. You see, Emilie has been hiding in her friends apartment and he friend decided, enough was enough. They needed to have a girls night out and what better way to spend girls night, than at a strip club. She had no idea that, that night would be a game changer. Meeting Stone, even by accident, has brought Emilie back to life….Fate keeps bringing these two together, and an unlikely friendship begins between the two them. They make a deal. Emilie will help Stone try to achieve his dream and Stone will provide Emilie with some hot, no strings attached, sexy times. Will these two be able to keeps things strictly casual? Will Stone be able to obtain his dream? You’ll just have to read to find out.

Overall, I found Stripped to be a really enjoyable story. The story-line and characters were a lot of fun. I was intrigued by what was going on and couldn’t wait to see how everything would play out. I loved the dancing aspect to the story and really enjoyed getting to know Stone and seeing that there was so much more to him than what meets the eye. I loved Stone and Emilie together. Their chemistry was scorching. You could feel it just oozing off the two of them. And boy, Stone had one dirty mouth on him.

Stripped was a quick and easy read for me. It is sexy and very entertaining. This is my first book by this author and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

This is what it's like to be stripped.
Exposed to one another in the deepest of ways. Stripped of all false pretenses, stripped of the words and fumbling that become obstacles when lovers talk - when they're afraid to be seen for who and what they truly are and how they really feel - when they're terrified to be exposed.

Unlikely pairing, right?

MY GAWDDDDD, I freaking LOVED this story!!

Stone & Emelie are truly THE best "opposites attract" that you will get your hands on. Although these two have differences, their commonality (dancing) will set your heart, your mind and your damn pants on fire!!

The Aussie dancer/stripper/real estate agent and the ex- ballerina's story engages you from page 1. I was so sucked into this story that I had to fight to put it down.

Aside from their hilarious, cheeky banter, you will SEE how fluidly these two move together when they dance. You will FEEL how combustible they are between the sheets.

Let me pause there - Stone will MURDER you imagination with his dirty talking, his sexy moves, the Aussie Kiss. He just may have set the bar high for other book boyfriends out there. Em had no chance!!

There is barely any drama.
No crazy other women/other man issues that will anger you.
No beating around the bush.
No crazy chases

This is upfront, quick to the point and so much fun!!

Can't wait to give this another go!!!!

Such a cute but totally got story. I loved Stone and Emilie. This is a standalone romance and it's super freakin good. I was hit with humor sadness and major swoonage.

There is tons of emotions in this read. I was enamored from the start and really wanted to just speed through it to see what happened at the ending. Stone is so freakin undoubtedly hot. I mean he's a stripper for crying out loud. Whats not to love? He's so vocal about what he wants and when he wants it. And that is just to freakin sexy. His mouth alone should be illegal! Just damn!

Emilie is a shy little thing. Until Stone brings her out of her shell. And it's amazing to read. After her injury her dance dreams were shattered. Or so she thought. Not only does Stone help her find herself he helps her find new dreams and desires as well. They are truly perfect together.

I enjoyed this book so freakin much. I laughed out loud a lot and said awe and received crazy looks from my husband. But it was all worth it. Great read from start to finish. Never bored!

“You’re fun to be with.”

I joke lightly, “I bet you say that to all the girls.”

He answers in a serious tone. “No, baby, I don’t say that to any of the girls.”

Kindred spirits, Emilie Cartier and Stone Wright have much in common. Both have sustained devastating injuries that have changed the course of their lives; both are now in Los Angeles in an effort to move forward to the next phase of their lives, whatever that may be; and both of them share an unparalleled passion for dance. Although they’re in different places, they both find so much more than they ever expected in each other. Stone is the spark that reignites Em while she becomes his muse.

“…the stripper and the ballerina. “

A deal is brokered, a goal is set and plans are in place. He has the opportunity to finally chase his dreams, and she will help him prepare for it. What she doesn’t anticipate, though, is what the experience of training him will bring to her. Being with Stone has brought her happiness, he’s healed her soul, and he’s opened her heart and mind to possibilities she thought were out of her reach. And during all of their late nights training, this incredibly sweet, romantic and dirty-talking Aussie weaves his magic, and the impossible happens – Em’s tattered and tender heart heals. But has she fallen as hard for Stone as he has fallen for her? When faced with a completely out-of-character, once-in-a-lifetime chance, will Em take his hand and follow through with the greatest risk of all?

“…we were born to be together – born to dance together.”

So…I started this book loving every single second. It was so, so funny! I’m talking tears streaming down my face, holding my sides, pain in my abdominals, uproariously laughing-out-loud funny. The non-romance portion of the plot was GOLDEN. Well written, with fabulously witty dialogue, characters I loved and exceptionally well developed. I adored every word of it. Awesome, right? Yeah!

Em and Stone were so ridiculously perfect together – sexy, silly and so natural – I couldn’t wait to see their romance bloom. I was eagerly anticipating where all of this dirty-talking, flirtatious foreplay Stone was dishing out was going to go. In my mind, there was no way it wouldn’t be anything but great when they got there, right? WRONG. And the worst part? The potential was so great; it really could have been incredible.

In her attempt to carry Em and Stone’s witty banter from outside the bedroom into it, the author went too far, too over-the-top with the cutesy body part renaming. Oh, how I wished she had just dialed back – or preferably, dropped it all together. Those cringe-worthy gardening and feline references doused the heat the burned between Em and Stone, turning what would have been some seriously hot scenes into ones that were goofy and immature.

Without all of that juvenile talk, which came off more sophomoric than sexy, this book would have absolutely been a candidate for one of my top romantic comedies of the year. But, disappointingly for me considering how much I thoroughly enjoyed everything that happened outside of the bedroom, the sex scenes – of which there were plenty – were so overshadowed by the use of these words, that each time I hit on one of these references, I was taken completely out of the moment, out of the scene and out of the whole story. They were so disruptive, they made not only the scene, but the entire book difficult to get through, and it actually pains me to say that, because I truly did enjoy everything that happened in this book outside of the bedroom. But the sex – which between these two characters who were so organically sexy and hot together – was just so disappointing and uncomfortably silly.

Stripped could have definitely been a knock-it-out-of-the-park, grand-slam homerun. Unfortunately, for the reasons I stated, it devastates me to say that, ultimately, it just didn’t work for me. I’ve never been in this position before, both loving and disliking a book in such equal measure and then having to review it in a public forum. I want to both apologize to the author and then rail at her for it.

3.5 smooches for Allie Juliette Mousseau’s Stripped from me.

**Josie's Review**

OH my word, for some reason while I was reading this book I kept picturing Channing Tatum in Magic Mike! I have read other books by this author and this was different than her usual heavy reads. Stripped was funny, sexy, light and refreshing. It was a fairly quick read but none the less very entertaining and held my interest on every page. The story is about two dancers wanting to be free to live their dream to make it big in the industry.

Emilie is a breath of fresh air, vulnerable yet strong. She has lost her will to dance after an accident. It is not so much that she can no longer dance it is more fear of failure. Well that changes when she visits her friend in LA, and while at “Foreplay” a male strip club where she meets Stone. OMG, Stone takes her on stage for a special dance and the dance itself was hot, hot, hot!!! I swear my kindle almost combusted. Emilie is mortified over what went on but she realizes that Stone had brought out something in her that she’s felt she’s been missing for months.

Stone is, hmmm… what is the word I am looking for – oh yeah HOT!!!! He is the hottest act in Foreplay. Women throw themselves at him so he has his share of women every night. When he sees all Emilie, her shyness, beauty and elegance he just has to have her and have her he will. Let me tell you Stone goes after Emilie with all that he has. I swear this man knew that she was meant for him, whatever she threw at him, he took.

Emilie and Stone have a lot in common, they are both dancers, but Stone needs help to achieve his dream. So Emilie agrees to help Stone with the condition that they have really hot and heavy no strings attached sex. When it’s time for Emilie to leave, no one will get hurt right? Yeah right, the chemistry between these two is so strong that I knew there was no way these two were walking away from each other. Not only were they smoking hot in the bedroom, the table, the car and on the road (Ok you get my point) but when these two hit the dance floor – HOLY MOLY there is no stopping them.

I absolutely loved Stone’s dirty hot mouth. He was a talking sex dream and Emilie was not far behind. You would think things would go easy with the pair, but family and pasts will rear their ugly heads and Stone and Emilie will be left to wonder if their dreams were only a fantasy.

A stripper and a ballerina walk into a competition. No that isn’t the start of a joke; it is indeed just one of the many things I loved about this book. Stripped is about Stone, who is a stripper as well as a dancer, get your naughty minds out of thinking the naughtiest thoughts because what I mean is he wants to dance professionally and is trying out for a TV show for a dance competition. Although naughty is one delicious way to describe Stone. He is sex, funny, sweet and oh so naughty. Did I mention he’s an Aussie? No? Well that just adds to his sex appeal.

So I bet you are wondering about the ballerina aren’t you? Well Emilie is a retired principal ballerina, she got injured and could no longer dance en pointe which if you aren’t familiar with different phrases associated in ballet en pointe is on your toes, for an even simpler explanation, thing toe shoes. I used to dance ballet before I switch to martial arts and dancing in toe shoes is NOT an easy thing to do, it’s rough on your body, especially your feet and takes years of practice to be able to get it right. So I felt for Emilie and the loss of doing something she loved.

The way Stone and Emilie first meet is hot and well, Emilie let’s just say isn’t happy about what happens. Stone though, he wants Emilie from the moment he first sees her and figures out a way to continue to see her. The chemistry between these two is explosive, panty wetting, and made me want a Stone of my very own. If there is one complaint about Emilie, it is some of the ways she would describes sex, or parts of anatomy, it at times was immature but beyond that I did like her character and how she kept Stone on his toes.

I have been a fan of Ms. Mousseau for a while now, and I continue to love what she writes. Stripped is a stand-alone but I would love to see more about some of the secondary characters, even if it was only in a novella. Stripped will leave you with a smile on your face, the need to change your panties, and a belief that sometimes you can find love in a strip cub.

I could literally sound like a lunatic telling you how much I loved this book. Going into it I actually had low expectations (but couldn't resist because that cover...)based off of others like it. I had never even heard of this author so that was completely unfair.

This book was extremely sexy, funny, sweet and I was really feelin' it! I can pretty much ALWAYS find something I didn't like in a book (because I'm probably a jerk) and this is one of the only times that I can say, "Nope, this was perfect." Maybe it was just me. I dunno but obviously I liked it.

Stone, the stripper with plans, is a new favorite. He is seriously one of the hottest heros I've read about recently.

Anyway the story is a about Em, a former principal in the New York Ballet. She unfortunately injured herself and was told she wouldn't be able to continue. She also had her heart broken by her fiance when her career ended.

Nursing her broken heart, she flies out to stay with her friend and get her head on straight...and then go back to NY. Her friend talks her into going to a strip club where the sexy stripper, Stone, takes an interest in our little ballerina. After pulling her on stage, Em has an extremely embarrassing moment and takes off, leaving Stone a bit thrown because he wasn't ready to say goodbye.

Enter hot freaking story.

The story is told from both points of view and available on KU.

Every once in a while I decide to just throw my TBR out the window for a night. It's so long I'll never catch up anyway, but I had to read something different, a little lighter and I stumbled across Stripped in my Amazon feed. Okay, a new to me author and the blurb sounded fun. I LOVED Stripped. The plot is a trip and I loved all of the corny humor mixed with the steamy hotness of Emelie and Stone.

I was hooked from start to finish and it was exactly what I needed to break out of the dull fall mood that was starting to hit. Thank you for a great read Ms Mousseau, you have made me an instant fan.

Pretty Darn Cool!!

This was a great story about a Ballerina and a Stripper. The Stripper to his heart's content refused to give up on the brokenhearted Ballerina, no matter how much she continued to fight him at every turn although he was taking her on a trip of a life time that she never could have imagined.
I immediately fell in love with the "my favorite new Aussie" STONE Wright!! Yep, that's his name. But don't let the name fool you. Emilie did, and got her socks blown off, not because she met him at a strip club, but finding out that there was soooo much more to that stripper!!!!

Fun Sexy Read!

When the closed off Ballerina meets the Australian Stripper, all bets are off in this witty, sexy tale of following your dreams and heart no matter where that path takes you, not letting anyone stand in the way of doing what is right for you. Healing of body and soul, and the power of dancing, singing, and sex are more healing powers than some people give them credit for!
This is a first time read for me by this author, loved the hilarious banter - sexual innuendos at every turn, ( the produce bit even my husband found amusing) riddled with some heart squeeze moments, and frustrating drama.
I was all in from the very start! This book has been sitting on my TBR for far too long! I am so glad I finally had a chance to read this and am looking forward to checking out more books by this author!

Loved reading this book, I just couldn't put it down and being a bedtime only reader it meant I had a few late nights.
Loved the dance scenes and could imagine the moves as I was reading it. My only disappointment was the ending. It kind of felt like another book should have been written in sequel but instead you get a 2 page epilogue which was too rushed for me.
Would still rate this as a must read book though as it's intrigued me to see what other books the author has written and I did love this book. Very close to a 5* rating.

I downloaded Stripped as a free book from Amazon. Utterly ridiculous and over-the-top-- I loved it! I swaer, Mousseau managed to find every word for genetalia I abhor and made me laugh myself silly while she fling around words and phrases that normally make me cringe. The story was witty, crazy, and plain good reading. If you need a light-hearted laugh with a great story line and adorable characters, you should give this one a try.

I expected a book on a hot stripper but I got more! Allie Juliette Mousseau wrote a amazing book about two people who love the art of dancing, who fall in love with one another, and have families demanding things that they don't want in their lives. There was humor, hawtness, and so much more inside this story I loved it all! Plus the songs the author picked out were amazing too...

This book was fun! Stone and Emelie were great. I loved the storyline, totally different from anything I’ve read before. However, the reason I only gave it 3 stars was the ridiculous terms the author used for varying body parts. It’s like she used a thesaurus written by 14 year old boys. Honestly, it was way over the top. I was rolling my eyes many times! That aside, it was a great read!

Loved It!

Great book! Explosive, sexy, funny, & a great love story. Love the dirty aussie! He was sweet & dirty, a great combination for a character. Can't wait to read your other books.

Hot!!

Emelie is a retired ballet dancer. Stone is a stripper that is working on routines for a reality dance show. He hires Emelie to help him learn classic dance moves to strengthen his chances.

Super hot and fun. Engaging characters.

What a good book. Loads of laughs. I especially loved every sentence with her kitten and his behemoth. Brilliant. Would highly recommend.

No cliffhanger
Standalone
Told from both POVs

So You Think You Can Dance meets Magic Mike meets book porn.

Emilie is a retired prima ballerina. Not because she is old but because she got injured. She hasn't danced since her world fell apart.

Stone is a stripper when you first get introduced to him but you quickly learn that is only a little piece of who he truly is.

The chemistry between these two is super hot. Heck the first time they interact it ends with Emilie haven't an unexpected public O.

Once they are done fighting their feelings Stone unleashes a side to Emilie she didn't know existed and brings dance back into her life.

It is a sweet story with a few bouts of drama to keep things interesting.

Overall it is a good sweet read.
