: Patricia DeLaney runs an uber successful catering business and bakery. She also hosts weekly book club meetings in her home. Her favorite topic? Mysteries. She adores a good mystery so when her husband Art, short for Arthur, comes home with a juicy story, Patricia is all too willing to sink her teeth into it. Art DeLaney is a retired police detective who runs a small private investigation business. With his contacts at the police department, he gets all the best tips and can easily sit around and shoot the bull with his old colleagues. Feeding Patricia’s need for information isn’t his first intent, but then, he never really knows he’s doing it. Can an amateur like Patricia possibly solve the classic who did it? Or will Art fall on his face with embarrassment when he takes her lead seriously?
Entertaining but all over the place. The book was kind of enjoyable to read, but the story line doesn’t really connect. You have to read it for fun without any expectation of finding clues to actually be able to solve the mystery. The food in the story does not sound appetizing in its description. I would definitely recommend to the writer that they research that area a bit better as well as character development.
This was a short fast read. Patricia wants to get herself into the Mediterranean of the serial murderers in her town. Her retired cop Husband try's to discourage this, but catches her at the most recent murder scene. She is very good at finding the bad guys before the cops. I never had a clue as to who might be guilty. It was a very good twist. Enjoy
