She will be his.
This is a standalone with HEA and is Book 2 in the Avery Wolves Series.
This short story was packed full of action and drama. I felt the storyline flowed nicely without jarring jumps or issues that pulled me from the story. Nothing major left unresolved at the end. Like the first book, the characters were easy to connect with and care about. I do wish we knew how much time had passed between the first and second books.
I liked the way the relationship matured between Drake and Summer. I also enjoyed how the revelation of their relationship was handled by her brother who just happens to be his best friend. No unnecessary drama or fluff!
There were a small handful of proofreading errors nothing too major, imo. It was still easy and enjoyable to read.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Off Limits Summer has stayed away from her hometown since the death of her parents, about 10 years. But trouble comes for her due to an Ex boyfriend/biker. Biker leader wants what her Ex stole from him and thinks she has the 1.5 Mil/ After roughing her up he gives her 72 hours to come up with it or else die like her Ex did. She runs home to her brother Chris, only to find out he now lives with his best friend Drake Avery the one man of her dreams. Drake has always had a thing for Summer but Chris put her off limits to Drake. Put this all together and you have a great story. Well written and very entertaining to read.
I received this for an honest review. J.K. Snow doe such an amazing job. We were first introduced to the Avery brothers who are werewolves in the first book. Don’t worry if you have not read the first book because this can be read as a standalone. Trust me when I say, after reading this book you will want to go and read book one if you have not done so, it is that good.
Summer Oliver was in some serious danger. She owned a nightclub in Black Hills. The leader of the Black Hills MC had paid her a visit. Seems like Summer’s ex had stoled a lot of money from the MC and now they think she had the money. She had 72 hours to come up with the money that she knew nothing about. Her future is looking like it is getting ready to be over. The Black Hills MC have plan killing her. So she did not the only thing she knew to do, run.
I can not imagine what it was like for Summer’s brother Chris to see Summer so physically hurt. As a brother and her only family member he wanted to protect her. Lucky he was friends with the Avery brothers. Summer and Chris had been raised with the brothers so they were like family to them.
Drake Avery had not seen Summer in several years. Drake was best friends with Chris which made Summer off limits. What happens when the one girl you promised your best friend you would not touch happens to be your true mate?
I find it funny reading about Drake trying to keep himself in check. Smelling Summer’s sweet scent and how much she wanted him had to be hard. To top that off they were living under the same roof.
Drake’s main focus is to keep Summer safe, but what happens when that puts your and your brothers’ lives on the line? I love reading about the Avery brothers. They have such a strong family bond and look out for each other. If they consider you a friend or family you know that they will put themselves on the line to protect you.
Drake wants Summer so much to stay. He is falling so hard for her, but he knows her business is back in Black Hills. When she risk moving and leaving everything behind for the man that she loves?

5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ Title: Drake Avery Wolves Book 2 Author: J.K. Snow Reviewer: Stephanie Jordan #Paranormal #WolfShifter ☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆°☆ This is book 2 of the series Avery Wolves, eight Avery Brothers. Yes another golden ticket for Ms. Snow, with the plots and character's to match said plots is always a win win situation. Summer Oliver is a nightclub owner of the Shooting Gun in the Black Hills. Putting everything she had in the club to make it as great, she succeeded having a full house every weekend, during the week it was very busy. But that didn't matter, when Raven's came looking for her ex-boyfriend of 3 months. Seems he stole a large sum of money and they want it. Beating her up they gave her 72 hours to get it or she's dead. Going back to her home town to think, she heads to Greyson Falls. Drake Avery owned his own construction company, plus he's a Wolf. Drake and his brother's all have lived in Greyson Falls their whole life with there dad being the Alpha. Drake was furious, ready to tear someone apart. How dare they beat up Summer, she was there lil sister, yeah to everyone but him that is. Drake knew she was something more but he gave his word of honor to her brother, in high school, she was hands off. Drake and his brother's needed to take care of the Raven Motorcycle Gang first, they would pay. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
" A Fascinating and exciting book!" Oh my the story line of this book is Fascinating!. The characters are Excellent!. This is such a marvelous series!. Summer is a curvy young woman who owns a Night club. Three months before she had broke up with her ex.boyfriend Jason. Jason had been a member of a rough biker gang called the Ravens. After she broke up with him the Ravens had killed him as it seems he had stole 1.5 million dollars from the gang. Now the leader Rave beats Summer up demanding she give him the money he says she has 72 hours to find it or she is dead. Only Summer did not know where it was!. She later finds out Jason left her a letter and a key to where the money will be. So Summer did the only thing she knew to do she heads to her big brother Chris in Grayson Falls. She also finds out Chris now lives at Drake Avery's place. Drake is a wolf shifter and the guy Summer used to have a major crush on. Drake had always wanted Summer but he had promised Chris he would never act on it. Now that she is staying with them how will he keep his promise!. Plus can they protect her from Rave?. This is such a stunning, suspenseful, and steamy hot hot Romance!. It is a must read book and series!
summer returns to the town where she grew up. with a biker gang hot on her heels, it was the only place she could think of. her ex-boyfriend didn't really like the ex-part of the new title and decided that ripping of his own biker club was the way to go to get some hard cash. now they're after her after having killed the ex, convinced she knows where their 1.5 million dollar is he stole from them. back in town, she finds lodgings with her brother, who is now sharing a place with Drake Avery, his best friend. when both drake and chris see the state she's in, bruised face, cut lip, broken bone..., they know she's in serious trouble. the rest of the Avery brothers get called in to diffuse the situation. Drake is hard pressed to keep her safe because this time around he's not fighting the feelings he's always had for her, he tried, he really did, but seeing her again, yeah you know how that goes.
a thrilling captivating story with another avery brother off the market. loved how they took charge of the situaion even when things got even worse. can't wait to see what is in store for avery brother number 3 !! a new must have shifter serial!
This book was as interesting as the first Avery Wolves book Jaxson. These wolves are a different breed than your average shifter. They don't spend a lot of time in their wolves skins. This is not a bad thing mind you but just a little different.
Drake has always been partial to Chris's sister Summer since they were kids but a promised made to his best friend when they were younger kept him from acting on his feelings.
Summer had notice Drake while growing up but had thought of him as her brother's best friend and looked no farther. She thought he viewed her as the little sister his family never had.
Until trouble brought Summer back to Greyson Falls Bridge. She had no were else to turn for help. The Avery brothers plus her own would help her out of the current situation she had to believe otherwise she was going to die.
Having read both books in the series, they are completely standalone in nature but definitely read them in order so as not to looks character continuity. I do wish the author would include bits of the previous book from the new character's perspective so the books have a lead in or some kind of connectivity without tying the stories together.
Summer Oliver is in big trouble thanks to an ex-boyfriend and is forced to run back to her older brother and her hometown. She hasn’t been there in years. Turns out her brother is now living with his best friend Drake, whom Summer had always had a thing for. When she gets there, her brother, Drake and his brothers immediately offer her help out of the mess she’s in. Meanwhile, she can’t help but notice how hot Drake is. Drake has always had a thing for Summer, but due to a promise to his best friend, he’s never pursued it. Now that she’s under his roof, he’s not sure how long he’ll be able to resist her.
I really loved this story. It was pretty quick and I read it in one sitting. The plot was very fast paced and kept you engaged. The heat was very much there. Plus, I’m a sucker for the best friend of the sibling plots. I can’t wait to read the next story from this author. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review
DRAKE ( The Avery Brothers ) by J.K. Snow This book use given to me for my honest opinion Summer got involved with the wrong guy, he was hook to a gang. He took 1.5 million from them and the gang killed he. Now Rave Thorne and the biker gang in Black Hills are coming after Summer. They came to her club and beat her. Cut her lip and fractured a few ribs and gave her 72 hours to get their money. She runs back home to Greyson Falls to her brother Chris and Chris friend Drake. Summer and Drake have always had feelings for each other. Drake knew Summer was off limits because they all grow up together and Drake made a promise to Chris. This is a beautiful love story with a lot of twist and turns. It is a fast read and hard to put down. I like the charters and plot of the this book and I think you will to.
Book 2 of the Avery Wolves series. Theses books average around 90 pages so are quick and enjoyable reads.
Summer has run back to her hometown where her brother lives, she's in danger thanks to an ex-boyfriend. She's not in good shape she's been beaten by a bike gang.
Drake is pleased to see Summer but horrified at her current state and wants desperately to protect her.
Drake and Summer have fancied each other for a while, Drake is summers brothers best friend so it is a difficult situation. Summer denies her feelings but Drake can smell her desire - he's a wolf!
They finally get it on and its hot, but straight after I was chuckling to myself - you'll have to read the book to find out why.
There's danger and angst and a budding romance in this book.
This book begins where nightclub owner, Summer, is getting beat up and threatened by the local malicious MC gang for a crime her late ex committed. She then runs back to her hometown and brother having been given 72hrs to right the wrong or die. Chris, her brother, lives with his bf and her childhood crush, Drake...who happens to be a werewolf. He, along with his brothers attempt to save the day. A shortish read, in desperate need of a good editing. An odd storyline in the sense shifters seemed every day normal, no hiding the fact. It had potential but felt little emotion from the characters, jumpy and mundane in places. Sorry, wasn't feeling this book.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author J.K. Snow. This is book 2 of the Avery Wolves series by the author.
Summer left her home 10 years ago after her parents died and now she is coming home for help from her brother. Seeing Drake again brought up her crush she had on him when she was younger. Drake Avery knew Summer was off limits years ago but seeing her now brings back all those feeling back again. Now Summer is hurt and needs help and he is just the man to give her help as long as his wolf stays in check. Can he help save her from the gang and pick up the broken pieces or will Summer never survive this disaster.
Summer left home and worked her butt off to make a life for herself as to have the best bar ever. And here she was getting beat up because of something a guy she broke up with 3 months ago did. Raze head of a biker gang was going to kill her because she had no idea what Jason had done with Raze's 1.5 million. What she did know was she was going home for the first time in ten years to her brother and Drake because she didn't know what else to do. Loved this story great action, drama, and spice it made for a perfect read. If your a shifter fan you will love it.
Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
There are bad boys and then there are the bad boys! Summer dated the wrong bad boy and now only as 72 hours to live. The book starts out swinging, literally, at Summer. Leaving her hightailing it for home. Summer on her own is a fiercely strong and independent. The Avery boys just consider her a sister and will protect her, especially Drake. He’ll protect her in that hawt, growly over protective “mine” kind of way. The book kept a good pace of action in going after the gang that was threatening Summer and her finally catching her own bad boy with Drake.
Woop yes loved this second book. Equally as well written an entertaining as the first book. I received this as an ARC for a honest review. JK you've gone and done it again. Definitely a winner. Drake is drop dead gorgeous and how wonderful it was for Summer and Chris growing up with the Avery boys. Summer coming home after being brutally bashed and seeing Drake again after so long the sparks fly. Can he get over his promise, can she return and open her heart and believe and trust.
As the second book in this series, once again I was enjoying getting to know more of the Avery brothers and the life they lead. Another interesting storyline and great overall read. my only complaint would be the editing could use some work especially in the beginning in mixing up the two female characters names during their interactions, but this did not take away from the story
I liked this story so well,I had to read it again, and it is still very well written.it just go's to show you don't know every ones that well till the end!
Awesome sauce with a side of fantabulous! I love shifter books and this one was toward the top of my favorites. Thoroughly enjoyed this pnr! Five glittery stars!
Drake is a fun quick read. Lots of action and steamy hot guys. I wish the book had been longer but all in all, it's a good book and I will be checking out the rest of the series.
