About the author

I am a house-parent to a rambunctious small child and happily mated to an equally rambunctious military spouse. My adventures in writing began with fanfiction, and once I was hooked I never looked back.

What I enjoy most about creating original work is the ability to delve into my stranger ideas without worrying about how I might apply them to someone else's world and characters. With my own creations, I take pride in twisting familiar tropes into something new and unexpected.

When I write, it is with the intention that my stories will leave a lasting impression. I hope you enjoy the characters and the worlds I create, and that they help you to find a place to exist, for a while, outside of your own.

Sweet and well written short story included with my Scribd/Everand subscription.

Justin crash lands on a planet and is held captive by the natives. They seem nice enough, if not particularly trusting, keeping him under guard at all times. Their leader, Sajah, visits him everyday. And what Justin thinks is a simple friendship, is something more in Sajah’s eyes.

It’s solid 3.25. There’s no typos or glaring mistakes. It’s very readable. I do wish it was longer. I’d love to see a fleshed out version, at least novella length, going into detail about their meeting. Especially from Sajah’s point of view.

I honestly would have enjoyed this more if, instead of being told when/how Sajah came to like and then love Justin after the mating ritual, the story had simply shown all that happening. The majority of the growth in Justin and Sajah's relationship is based on telling.

It's not bad, but... I just would have liked more. I would have liked to actually be *shown* Justin and Sajah growing closer and coming to like/love each other.
