I am in love with The Love Series. It's really that simple. Let me tell you why. First comes Silent Love, where we are introduced to Sean. Handsome, ex-navy seal, sexy, Doctor Millen at the service of plenty of lucky women. Until he meets Beth. She stops him in his tracks, literally, and it's from there that the story really develops. Here's what I can say about this book, and this author's writing for that matter; there is a depth to the emotion that these characters experience that can't help but make you feel connected to them. This connection grows deeper with book two, Unexpected Love, where we get to know Sean's brother, Ryan, and experience his life getting turned upside by an unexpected delivery. In sweeps Lynn to save more than the day, and throughout the book, steal Ryan's heart. In the third book, and probably my favorite, Dangerous Love, we get to know a bit more about Sean and Ryan's family and it's connection to the mob. We learn a lot about the darker side of living through the eyes of sex-on-a-stick, bad boy Derk. He works for the Millen brother's cousin's husband, who just happens to be a mob boss. Derk is that man we all dreamed about as a girl; you know the one; the bad boy in torn jeans, cool car, perfect hair, that you believe you can make good. Well, MacKenzie, who Derk has set his mark on, isn't that girl. She doesn't want anything to do with him. It's a great story of push and pull and ultimate satisfaction by both parties. In the last installment, Taken Love, we get to know Hunter, Derk's best friend and partner, and an even deeper look at mob life. Casey doesn't pull any punches or sugar coat the lifestyle of the mob. You truly feel the struggle all the characters we've been introduced to thus far have to deal with on a daily basis living this life and it's consequences. No one personifies that more than Hunter and his quest to protect and ultimately fall in love with Cara. This series is so much more than a romance. It's about love. Love found, love fought for, love surrendered and love that bonds people through even the toughest of situations.
