Walloon politician, founder of the Walloon Autorian Catholic movement "Rex" and Nazi collaborator volunteer of the Waffen SS

Degrelle was also active in the Belgian Catholic Party of which he splitoff in 1935 when he formed the Rex movement.

After Belgium was defeated by Germany, Degrelle joined the Wehrmacht. In 1943 he and all the other Wallonians were transferred to the Waffen SS. The Wallonian Waffen SS fought at the Eastern front.

After the war Degrelle fled to Spain and was the head publisher for the group "Círculo Español de Amigos de Europa". In the 1960s, Degrelle returned to public life as a neo-Nazi and gained great influence in far-right European circles. He published several books and papers glorifying Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime and publicly denying the Holocaust.

Degrelle died in 1994 in a Spanish hospital.

Ich habe die deutsche Fassung gelesen. Leon Degrelle erzählt von seinen Abenteuern in Mexiko-Stadt. Es spielt zwischen 1926 und 1929, als es zu bewaffneten Aufständen gegen die Regierung kam. Damals, als Student, wollte er die Ereignisse mit eigenen Augen sehen und sie aufschreiben. Seine Motivation für den Besuch in Mexiko ist seine Weltanschauung und sein Überzeugung vom Recht der Völker auf Selbstbestimmung. Diese Erfahrungen beeinflussten sein späteres politisches Leben als rexistischer Politiker in Belgien und später als Offizier der Waffen-SS(SS-Standartenführer).

A short account of Degrelle's trip to Mexico to gather evidence of it's war on Catholicism. He doesn't elaborate on the actual espionage as much as he describes the journey, the people he meets and the trouble with border officers. It isn't bad by any means but it was written for newsletters and such so it is short and not detailed. Mainly relevant as informing other Catholics as to what the Freemasons were doing in the Americas, as the American government helped fund this vile attack on Christianity.
