This was really good short quick read. Damian McDermott is a marine who served several tours of duty in Afghanistan and has been home for three years. He's quietly suffering with PTSD and avoids relationships even though he's attracted to his next door neighbor, Gillian. One night Gillian is on her back porch enjoying some fresh air and hears noises coming from Damian's basement. She's already intrigued by Damian's brooding good looks and fit body so she'll take any excuse to peek in his window to make sure nothing's amiss. Damien could be very loving yet exasperating at the same time. Gillian was wonderful with how she handled whatever Damien threw at her. Damian and Gillian are great together and their chemistry and connection is amazing! The scenes are very hot and steamy and I could not put this book down. This was my first time reading this author and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

This is one VERY HOT story. I was on the eve of my seat with this couple. Damien could be very loving yet exasperating at the same time. Gillian was wonderful with how she handled whatever Damien threw at her. The romance was ver hot a and stemy. Loved when they are together and let their defenses down. Can't wait to read more by this author.
