Wisdom comes from experience, and most of those experiences are painful and costly. If you can learn from someone else’s pain and expense, you are a wise person, indeed. I would encourage you to read this book, cover-to-cover, but also keep it as a reference text using the sections and individual columns as a resource you can revisit as your life journey calls for specific wisdom.” What other people are saying about Jim “When Jim Stovall, through his business, makes his movies such as The Ultimate Gift accessible both as a premiere theatrical and DVD movie, as well as part of a school curriculum, he improves the lives of young and old alike.” —Donald J. The book was well written and enjoyable to read. The advice however was pretty basic . Most of the book was just common sense. It was written to uplift and inspire you to become aware of the simple changes you can make in your daily life to help you achieve your personal goals. While I didnt find anything life changing in these pages it was a good FREE motovational read for the beginning of the new year. I liked the Author. He was a great story teller. His columns were very relatable and direct.
Wisdom for Winners, Volume Two by author Jim Stovall is a small 192 page hard cover book. This book was designed to give readers valuable wisdom from the life and experiences of extremely successful people. Using humor, wit, inspiration, and his creative writing ability the author writes a well planned book from which anyone will glean information. It has been organized into ten chapters for easy future reference. "Overcoming Adversity", "The Value of Wealth", "A Look at Legacy", "Learning is a Life Long Process", "Master Your Time", "Integrity", "Doing Your Best", "Look for Opportunities", and "Choosing Advice Wisely", and "What is Important?" are the chapter headings.
This book is one that will be useful for many years to come. Advice on everything from education, the stock market, faith, and prioritizing is touched upon in this small but mighty book. It is an easy book to read but provides food for thought. It is a good tool for any businessman or leader.
I would definitely recommend this inspiring book. It is one that I will keep on my bookcase. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars. I was given the book by Book Fun (The Book Club Network) and this is my honest review.
