JACK REACHER IS OUT THERE AND JACK CAMERON, HIS ONLY SON, IS IN PURSUIT.
From #1 Amazon Bestseller, Scott Blade.
The only thing that Jack Cameron finds worse than the long day that he has had trying to hitch a ride on a long, lonely stretch of Route 66 between Texas and New Mexico is the car that comes barreling down the road at high speeds and then almost runs him over.
After barely missing Cameron, the car crashes into a tree.
Cameron rescues the driver and calls an ambulance for him. Only the driver is more than what he seems and Cameron is sucked into a mystery that leads him to a small roadside town and a twenty-year witness protection case.
Jack Cameron is left alone to protect a witness that has no idea that an old enemy is after her. And Cameron has no idea who the enemy is, but he knows one thing that they are right behind him.
USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLER - Scott Blade is a Nomadvelist, a drifter and author. He writes the bestselling Jack Widow book series, two of which reached the Top 100 list on Amazon, knocking Harry Potter & Jack Reacher off the top spots, which angered one of the big publishers. Scott wears that fact as a badge of honor.
Scott Blade isn't a traditional novelist who spends his time stuck behind a computer desk in some dreary office. He truly walks the walk. He drifts around like the nomad he writes about, touring the world, writing mysteries and searching for the perfect coffee.
A non canon entry in the Jack Widow series. Not a bad storyline, but I was disappointed. I would guess that it was an early draft for the Jack Widow character, as there were inconsistencies from the Widow series. The character's name of Jack Cameron is just one example. I would also guess that it was one of the author's first forays in to writing. In my judgement, it was rather amateurish, with many continuity issues, most which could have been corrected if the author had just taken time to go through another edit, changing names and timelines a little. One of the main issues I had with the story is the author described Jack as twenty years old, but the the story characterized him with the thought processes, knowledge, and confidence of a man much older.
If it had been me, I wouldn't have released it in its current form. A proofreader and good editor might have saved it.
Jack Cameron is Jack Reachers' son and, like his dad, he's walking down a desert road, destination unknown. Nearly knocked down by a careering car, he catches up with it after it crashes soon after. The driver, a U.S. Marshall, has had a heart attack. At the hospital he comes to long enough to warn Jack and Kara is in danger. That's enough to point him in the right direction (it's suspension of disbelief time). Let's just say that he takes after his father! “Reckoning Road” is an ok read but very derivative. 2.5 Stars, raised to 3 Stars.
Reckoning Road (Jack Cameron Short - Get Reacher #4)
This is a great read and another tale of a chance encounter that Cameron finds himself fighting someone else's battle to keep a total stranger safe from harm. Can't wait to see what happens when we get to the next one. Thanks, Scott Blade for keeping Cameron on the road seeking his father, Reacher.
Geez!! Scott Blade could be related to Lee Child! His writing is very intriguing...you will not be disappointed by his new short story about Cameron! I don't like to share any of the content from his books because I believe you should read them for yourself. And believe me! It is worth your time! Keep 'em coming Scott! Reacher on!!!!!!
Thanks Scott Blade for this short one! Right to the point with are hero! The characters and plots are well placed and developed! I personally appreciated more the long story but in between it is appreciated! Thanks again to the author for sharing his talent?,
Yet another great book from Scott. Look forward to book 4 of the series. I have real problems putting these books down. Thanks again Scott for a great read.
Finally an actual ending and not a CLIFF HANGER. Those are fine but then I forget what that book was about. I love all the CAMERON stories and eagerly await more.
