This was a sweet, clean romance with little to no erotica. Zac Davies was an up and coming movie star and Gina is his director. When he was poisoned by a scorned lover and needed a quiet, discrete place to recover, Gina offered her home, since Zac had no family. Zac discovers that away from the film industry, Gina is a kindhearted, small town biker chick and he loves it. Thus begins their relationship, with each having to learn to trust the opposite sex and love again. Both have a damaging past to overcome and together the journey is beautiful.
Personally, I enjoy more heat in my romance reading, but the plot was good. The story was filled with hope, forgiveness, healing, and love. It had a somewhat Christian theme to it, but wasn't too religious. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good clean romance.
It also has my favorites, no cliffhanger and a HEA!

Zac Davies really doesn't want to screw up this opportunity, this movie is supposed to be his big break, and passing out in the middle of shooting a scene was definitely not part of the plan. Of course he would never have guessed that anyone would want to poison him, he could have been killed, but instead he is going to be out of commission for weeks. He's 29-years old, feels about 90 and needs to be looked after like a baby. None of this sits well with him, except perhaps the fact that his incredibly hot 41-year old Director offered to take him in.
Honestly, Gina Devereaux has no clue what she was thinking, suggesting Zac come back home with her to recover. For crying out loud, she has two teenage daughters at home. But he really has nowhere else to go, needs looking after and she lives remote enough that the press won't be able to find them. Besides, he's really a good guy, although she has to remind herself that he is too young for her to be interested in and more importantly, he is an actor, and she should know from experience how she does with them. Not something to be repeated!
Away from the hustle and bustle of work, Zac discovers that his 'tough as nails' Director is in fact a warm and generous mother, and, get this, a hot Harley riding biker chick!! Her girls are fun to be around and Zac finds himself really enjoying the stay at Gina's place. Not least of all, Gina herself. The tension between them is building to a point where if something doesn't happen soon, he will spontaneously combust.
There are so many reasons why any involvement with Zac would not be a good thing. Gina is trying to convince herself not to give in to the temptation, but ultimately decides to have just a taste, thinking that might be enough. Letting the cat out of the bag however, we all know how impossible it is to get the damn thing back in. But, the schedule for the film was already tight, Zac is much better, and they have to get back to finish shooting. Better to nip it in the bud, at least for now.
Not an easy task, going from close friendship back to an actor/director relationship. And if that were the only thing, but being back also means that the media is back in full force, trying their best to dig up the biggest and dirtiest stories, true or false. The movie has to be finished, that's a given, but both Zac and Gina need to consider what they want to have as priority in their lives, and some difficult decisions have to be made......

I really, really enjoyed this story. I loved the two different dynamics happening between Zac and Gina. The work related one, and the more laid back, unencumbered one when at home. Both had some underlying aspects of attraction right off the bat, that gave the impression there was more of a connection than the simple parameters of the relationship depicted.
There is a strong nurturing component in Gina, perhaps with everyone, but certainly towards Zac. Both in her role as his director as in taking care of him. But it doesn't end there, it isn't simply 'mothering', although it might seem that way at first, it is the way you express care and concern for someone that means something.
Zac is to adapt quickly to the quieter country style life with Gina and her girls, and actually thrives in it. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. He sees strong community, family and friendship bonds all around them and starts comparing to his life. Zac seems to mature quickly, while dealing with his health, and his entire outlook changes.
Great character development in this wonderful friends-to-lovers story, with the added benefit of an interesting age difference that makes the book all the more complex and compelling. Gina's daughters added an additional dimension that made the story more relatable.

Take Two: a Hollywood Romance, is the first book in the lady Biker series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. A quick, young adult contemporary novel with a unique premise.
A Hollywood Director takes into her home a young actor who is recovering from an almost fatal attempt on his life.
Gina Devereaux, a 41 yr old director, mother and Harley biker chic was a strong likable character throughout the story but it wasn't until almost the end that I warmed up to Zac Davies, a 29 yr old needy actor, when he matured quickly and began to thrive as part of Gina's life.
An enjoyable friends to lovers story.

A suspenseful romance, this novel takes one into the less than glamorous side of the movie industry. The hours are long and the process of achieving the perfect shot takes its toll on director and cast alike. When Zac falls desperately ill, he finds it inconceivable that anyone would want to destroy him, but quickly realises the necessity of keeping the unpleasant truth from becoming public knowledge. Under the protection of his director, Gina and her family, Zac discovers that she is very different from the hard-working director who demands perfection from him. The plot is generally clean and romantic, although there are a number of gaps in the story. It is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a successful conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

Gina kept her work life separate from her home life with her daughters. That was until Zac was poisoned and needed a quiet place to recuperate away from the paparazzii. Gina and her daughters helped with more than his physical healing. With the stalker out of jail, Zac or Gina be in danger again. I received a free copy of this eBook from eBook Discovery. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is my first biker chick book and I really liked it. The story focuses on the characters of Zac and Gina as much as the recovery and the suspense. I liked the Gina as a director was so different that Gina as a mother and biker chick. Both Gina and Zac are very well rounded characters. I also liked seeing a glimpse of life on the set and the movie making process. I really liked this book and hope to read more in the series.

A light hearted romance with enjoyable characters and a good storyline. Let Me Love You (Lady Biker #1) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly was a fun romance to read. I loved the characters Gina and Zac and enjoyed reading about their adventures that led them to fall in love. The author had a great writing style, and kept you interested in the book all the way through. This book is perfect for curling up with a glass of wine and relaxing with a great story.

I thoroughly enjoyed Take Two: A Hollywood Romance by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. The setting offers an insider's view into the world of movie production and Hollywood, which I thought was done a little differently than other novels I'd read. It was subtle and believable, very well-written. Meanwhile the chemistry between the hero and heroine kept me rooting for them and turning the pages to see what would happen next. The hero, Zac, is an actor with a painful past and a promising acting career. When his health is endangered on the movie set, the director and heroine of the novel, Gina, steps up and gets Zac the care he needs to survive his health crisis. This provides the perfect opportunity for Zac and Gina to spend quality time together. There are a couple of characteristics that I look for when I'm reading a romance novel. The first is tension that escalates between the hero and heroine, driving them apart but leaving them longing for each other. Secondly, interesting subplots that keep the characters grappling with their issues while (hopefully) moving toward a happily ever after. Take Two offers these characteristics and so much more. I thought the author did an excellent job crafting an enjoyable romance with dynamic characters and an exciting plot. I'm looking forward to reading more of her work in the future.

He's working hard not to screw up his big chance, when he's suddenly taken ill on set. It transpires that he's been poisoned with something that severely damages his body, so much so that he has to take time off filming to recover. His director, Gina Deveraux, offers to look after him during his recuperation. Gina takes him to her family home, where she lives with her two teenage daughters. During his stay, Zac recovers more than just his health.
This was an interesting book, with a novel premise. The actions of the main protagonists and their reasons for them were all totally credible. Zac is a great hero. He's seemingly a normal guy, but with a history that he finds difficult to cope with. Gina has been burned by a relationship with an actor before, and so really doesn't want to get into another one. Gina is a refreshingly strong female character. She's over 40, has teenage kids and rides a Harley. Their relationship develops slowly, but it's understandable in the context of he story.
This is a sweet story of a developing romance. If you like your romances hot and sexy then this may not be for you, but it's nice to read a complete love story without all the gory details.

This book is the story of Zac, an up and coming movie star who is filming the movie that will be his big break, and Gina, the movie's director. Zac becomes ill when another cast member wishes him harm, and after his release from the hospital, big hearted and kind Gina takes him into her home to recover.
I liked the characters of Zac and Gina, but thought that Zac seemed much more like a teenager than a twenty-nine year old man. I also thought that Gina's teenaged daughters acted exceedingly young for their age. I felt that I would have enjoyed the book more if it would have had a little narrower focus. There was so much going on in the story - movies and movie stars, poisonous mushrooms, murderous jealous exes, Harley riding biker chicks, kidney failure and dialysis, age differences, teenaged daughters, that it seemed to be trying to encompass too much. I liked the premise, and the basic storyline, and will be interested to see where the series goes next.

This was a really sweet book. A quick read that kept me interested, I finished it in one day. This was quite a bit lower on the steam level then I prefer, only a few kisses and a fade to black sex scene.
Gina is a 41 year old film director and single mother of two teenage daughters. I liked that she was a strong, mature and capable women.

As the sparks fly between these two Gina pushes away having been burned in the past.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story. It is, I believe the kick-off to a series that looks to be quite promising. The premise was unique and could have so easily slid into predictability, but Ms. Cramer-Kelly delivered with this novel. Her portrayal of family dynamics, rural life, age differences, and her talented character development made this one a book to recommend for me. I look forward to more from this author.

Though I was skeptical at first about the subject matter, as I continued to read I found the story to be a fast paced page turner. It was interesting to see how the taboo, older woman younger man relationship grew and developed. I would describe this story as a sweet romance with a few intense scenes. I liked also that the chapters were short, which made for easy reading. However, throughout the story I kept wishing Zac and Gina were the same age and that there was no age gap.

Cute romance that reminded me of the TV show Telenovela, giving a good peek into the world of backstage of the movie/TV/shooting business. Loved the characters, especially Gina.
