General Atmosphere The atmosphere of the book is quite immersive and remains consistent throughout the entire text. The author manages to create a believable world that follows its own internal rules. It is easy to picture the scenes described in the chapters. Hard to follow towards the end of the book. I wanted more thrill and it was boring.

Warm-hearted Barby Wyeth is troubled that something seems to be bothering her new roommate at the Ashland Shakespeare festival. For one thing, accidents seem to happen around Margaret; for another, she seems really shaken when it's announced that another girl from her college was found dead in Berkeley. Fortunately, Barby's stepfather Todd lives in Berkeley, and has a way with a puzzle. Offord combines a novel about a theater festival, a love story, and a complex mystery. This is one of my favorites.
