Keeping Score: What You need To Know To Make Your Credit Score Grow
My life’s mission is to introduce everyday people to wealth building opportunities. One of the most critical pieces to building wealth is having good credit. Of the thousands of individuals I have helped become homeowners, a great amount did not understand the value of credit or how to decipher a credit report. It’s the boogeyman in the closet that no one wants to deal with. What they don’t understand is that it’s not as scary or hard to understand as they think. And it’s certainly not as hard to repair and maintain.
While there are truly legitimate credit repair companies out there, others have made a fortune in doing basic “credit repair” functions that a consumer has the ability to do themselves. This is not a quick fix credit repair book. It is written to help you understand how credit works, gives you tips on how to improve and maintain your credit, shows you how to decipher a credit report, and will give examples of some of my past clients who have done some of the tips I speak about and how it’s improved their credit scores.
Use it as reference guide when you are looking at online monitoring platforms such as Myfico or Credit Karma and you don’t quite understand what it’s saying. Use it when you’ve gotten turned down for a loan from a mortgage lender, and they’ve provided you with your Tri-Mere credit report and you don’t understand the codes. Use it when your credit card company has given you a copy of your credit score and with excitement you tell all your friends, “I have an 800 credit score” and find out it’s really only 620. You may know how to dispute an item on your credit report, but do you know how to go a step further to ensure collections are removed? This book explains it!
My goal is that you will find the information in this book empowering and that you will walk away educated and ready to take massive credit action.
