Onyx and Starr
When Onyx’s parents decided to move from New York to Atlanta, he thought his whole world was over. When he meets Starr, a cute and sassy little eight year old, he had no idea how much his life would change. With so much in common, the two quickly become friends. As a matter of fact, they become best friends. For the next few years, they continue to shoot hoops, help each other with their homework and just have good times. So what happens when they start to reach puberty?
When Onyx gets promoted to the sixth grade and switches schools, while Starr gets promoted to fifth grade and remains in the same school, the two wonder if their friendship will remain the same. The two continue to bond and nothing changes, that is until Starr begins attending the same school. Onyx is now an eighth grader and star of their basketball team. Starr is also on the girls’ team and they are both excellent players.
Mandy, a cheerleader at their middle school, begins to take special interest in Onyx during this time and the two become a couple. Their relationship blossoms and continues until they reach high school, even though Mandy has insecurities concerning Onyx’s relationship with Starr. After voicing her opinion about their relationship for a couple of years, Onyx finally has enough and breaks up with her. But Mandy is not going to give up on him and their relationship that easily. She begins to spiral out of control and make Starr’s life miserable.
Onyx discovers he has feelings for Starr that are more than just friendly. He wants to take it to another level, but Starr is afraid of risking their friendship for something new. Mandy has a feeling that Onyx is in love with Starr, but she is not going to stand by and watch her man be happy with a homewrecker. Even though she and Mandy have engaged in several confrontations, some resulting in fist fights, Mandy still won’t stop torturing the one person she is sure broke up her happy relationship with Onyx.
How far will Mandy go to end Starr and Onyx’s friendship? Will Starr finally follow her heart and accept the love that Onyx is offering her? Or will their friendship be ruined forever?

Onyx and Starr
Onyx and Starr by Lady Lissa is interesting read. Lady Lissa does a great job. It’s well written and the storyline is on point.
Onyx and Starr is remind me of Love & Basketball. They’re become a good friends and decide to give them a chance as couple. Mandy is a messy and crazy at the same time.
I wish I could read Onyx and Starr part 2 &3 because I want to read more about Onyx, Starr and Mandy. I need to asked this author question. Can she bring Onyx and Starr back on Amazon?
I’ll definitely continue to support and read more from this author.

Great Read
Great read.... The best relationships start out as friends. I'm glad that Starr and Onyx finally decided to take their friendship further. Anyone could clearly see that they had love and feelings for each other. Mandy turned into a straight nut. I hope for the sake of Onyx that she is not pregnant by him.

Onyx and Starr
I loved how Onyx and Starr were best friends before they were lovers. I think that they good together. The only problem is crazy Mandy. That girl has some serious issues. She's going to be a real problem for them two. I'm hoping that she isn't pregnant with Onyx's baby. I can't wait til part 2 comes out. I need to know how this will all play out.

Another great read from Lady Lissa. Once I started I had to finish and did in one sitting. Some of the best and lasting relationships, start out as friends. Loved the way their loved developed from childhood friends to young lovers, hope their love stands the test of time and drama. Can't wait for PT.2. Well done and highly recommend. Great job.

Ok
I gave this book 4 stars because it was a bunch of high school back and forth bull, that was a little annoying sometimes. But I do love Onyx and Star together as a couple and I really hope this crazy Mandy broad is not really pregnant by him for real that would ruin everything.I can't wait to see what happens next.

Took Love and basketball to a whole new level
This book is a trip. Mandy was truly ready for the nut house. Anybody could see that Onyx and Starr belonged together just took them long enough to realize it. Impatiently waiting for part 2 to come out. Great Job

Cliffhan ger ending. Are all these novels meant to leave you hanging? This story was good however it was too slow. It seemed so long before the inevitable. The end was predictable.

I love Onyx and Starr relationship!!! I feel it's best to have a friendship before a relationship. Now with Little Crazy Mandy in the picture I know the drama is going to get worst by the day. Great storyline!!!

This series started really well. Good foundation for the series. Their relationship wasn't rushed. we got to see their progression from platonic friends to having feelings for each other and not acting on it, to more.

Good read! I'm glad Onyx and Starr finally realized what was meant to be. Mandy is a nut case and needs to be institutionalized. Other than the grammar mistakes this book was pretty good. Good Job!
