Branding A Legacy

Rate this book
Trying to get ahead isn’t easy. It’s even more difficult when your sense of honor and integrity is being tested when taking the high road. Being kicked down when working with a high standard gets old real quick and Marvel Slatter is no stranger to this cruel way of life.

He’s idolized his Granddad and brothers growing up on Silver Star Ranch while working his fingers to the bone branding their legacy.

What happens when an honorable man is pushed too far?

He snaps. Seeking revenge blinds Marvel. He demands one thing and one thing only: his fair share of money for training a group of colts. Marvel refuses to let Saint take advantage of his family one more time. Enough is enough in his book.

With his brothers hovering over him, Marvel is forced to lie to his family. He’s not proud of it, but convinces himself it’s in the best interest of Silver Star to stand up to Saint.

His decisions lead to fatal tragedies. Hurt so real and deep, no one is safe or promised the guarantee of a tomorrow.

Will Silver Star Ranch and the Slatters triumph in the face of adversity or will their legacy fold forever?

Okay, I may have said before that Rules of the Ride is my favorite in the series, but now I may have changed my mind. This—this book cannot compare to that one and 8 Second Decision. Branding A Legacy is on a completely whole other level and I am in awe. Pure and utter awe. It was so different and just brutally beautiful. The way it was written, the way things were described in detail and explained graphically made me feel so much more going deeper into the story. And the action started right off the bat which just messed with all my nerves and heart. I mean, a couple of chapters in and my heart already wanted to leap out of my chest. My adrenaline was already pumping double time and I was right on the edge of my seat. It all just took off from there and I fell in deep with Marvel Slatter.

Marvel is the youngest of the Slatter brothers and he was always the quiet, calculating and intelligent one. But when he saw how much their family's life and legacy—the Silver Star Ranch—has been drastically going downhill, been messed with and stomped on, he knew he had to act and do something about it to the point that he (almost) didn't care if it was a suicide mission. He had one thing in mind—he has to save his family's ranch and get that redemption they all needed even if he had to go behind his brothers' backs and do it alone. And then they could all live free. Although what he did was rash and stupid, I really can't blame him because if he didn't do it, he wouldn't have met his match in Clover or things would still be the same for his family. Or even worse. I seriously fell in love with Marvel. His personality was just perfectly imperfect. Yes, he had his douchey, stubborn moments, especially in the beginning with Clover, but he had so much going on, brewing inside himself that he was struggling to deal with. If Clover wasn't there or they didn't meet, hell, I would've went to Marvel's rescue and saved him myself. (Jesus, now that I'm recalling everything that happened while I'm writing this, it's all crashing back down and my heart wants to explode all over again from the emotions brought about by this book.)

Clover Lee has her own secrets, issues and reservations. But she's truly a caring, selfless and very loving lady. She may be a nurse, but all that care and concern she has for the Slatters comes straight from her heart and soul. She treated and considered them her family, especially since her own family is so whacked up, even back when she didn't know the Slatters that well then. She may have grown up her whole life in the city, but once the Slatters took her in, she never hesitated to change and try out living in the ranch with them. Heck, she embraced it even. Personally, I admire the hell out of Clover. If anyone deserves salvation, I think it's this woman. She has a pure heart and she not only cared for one Slatter, but all of them. Especially Granddad. Her dynamic with the family is just perfect and such a joy to see. Yes, she's lucky to have found a new family with the Slatters, but I think they're pretty much lucky to have her as an addition to the family as well.

And let's not forget Granddad here. He truly is a legacy himself. He had so much strength and words that will strike so deep, they'll be left engrained in your head no matter what. He was the pillar in this entire series. It never would've been as amazing as it is, if not for this wise old man. He'll always be the great Marve Slatter who's stern, yet loves intensely, puts his family before and beyond anything else, and packs a cocky sense of humor like no other.

It has been such a great journey reading this series, from the very first book until this one. It will teach you so many life lessons while you go about the life of each Slatter. It isn't just about the country/ranch living. It isn't just about the sexy, smart and confident cowboys. It isn't only about the romance. It's about family, pride and redemption. It's about a legacy that has been saved and redeemed and will live on for many, many years. HJ Bellus has most definitely poured so much heart and soul into this series and the entire journey it takes you on is worth every minute of your time and every beat of your heart. Branding A Legacy specifically will be unforgettable for me with everything that happened and all the emotions it was able to bring out and stir inside of me.

The conclusion to the Silver Star Ranch series, is definitely the best book in the series!

After the ending of Rules of the Ride, I knew I needed to get my hands on Branding A Legacy ASAP. The wait was definitely worth it. Marvel’s story is a lot darker than the other books and had my heart breaking for him, and the family.

Marvel and Clover’s story doesn’t start out on the best of terms. Clover is a nurse at the hospital and has the boys grandfather as her patient. On her first night at the hospital she has granddad as well as a patient die right in front of her, plus she gets to meet Maverick and Merek at not a good time in their lives, and they are quite scary. Throughout the days, and weeks Clover learns a lot about the Sattler family and who Marvel is, so she never expected to be the one that saved him, when everyone was looking for him.

Marvel wishes he was dead and is in a very dark place when we first see him in this book. He’s angry and spiteful and not happy at all, and takes it out on the person who saved him. The way he treated Clover in the beginning of this book gave me whiplash. He would be sweet to him at one time, and then tear her down in the next. She does everything to not take his words to heart, but sometimes his words hurt too much.

Once these two finally get on the same page, watching their love story play out was beautiful. Both of them have secrets, and it’s these secrets that could end up eventually destroying them. Clover’s family isn’t a good family, and Marvel is keeping Clover away from everything that’s going on with Saint. Outside of these secrets things between them definitely steam up and I loved watching Clover fall over herself in her feelings for Marvel.

This story had me in knots most of the time reading this book. Would Marvel ever forgive himself for the mistakes he made? Were him and the family ever going to be truly safe? Would these two fall apart once all the truth came out? I was up and down all throughout this book, but I enjoyed every single second of it.

Branding a Legacy was definitely the perfect ending to this series. Not only did we get to see Marvel and Clover find their love story, but we also got to see Challis, Ella, Maverick, and Merick and were able to catch up on their lives as well. The extended epilogues for all of the couples was also quite amazing and definitely gave me a sense of closure for all of these characters. If you are looking for a series full of tough cowboys and the women that make them fall to their knees, The Silver Star Ranch series by H.J. Bellus should definitely be added to your TBR list today!

Building a Legacy is the final installment in the Silver Star Ranch series.

We finally get the grand finale of all that has been taking place on the ranch & it's time for Saint Johnson to be taken down.

Marvel the youngest of the brothers feels it time for Saint to pay for all he's done to his family & he will be the one to take him down. Things don't go as planned & Marvel is saved by Clover on a dark country road. Even though he's on deaths door, right where he wants to be, they both feel a connection that can't be denied.

Can Nurse Clover heal his physical wounds but also heal is spirit?

Wow this is the culmination of the whole Slatter brothers stories & it was epic!!
Fantastic series. Will be looking to read more by Ms. Bellus.

What a fantastic end to this story. I really loved all these couples stories but Marvel and Clovers story was so good. From the start of the story where Clover ends up lost on the wrong road and finds Marvel to their bumpy as heck beginning to their ending has kept me rushing through to see how it finishes. Plus all their stories and troubles come to a head and get taken care of. So after the third story we know what happens. They certainly had their struggles to be together because of one feisty cowboy and his need to finish what he thinks he started. You find yourself not wanting to stop reading until its done and I mean all three :) If you like cowboys, this is a great one to read, well three stories really. What an amazing set.

"It's a simple equation really-take a ruthless villain, add in a hardworking and loyal family and you get the classic fairytale of the good guy getting f**ked over. Gossip, have your own opinion, but never take from my table."

A-freakin-mazing ending to this wonderful series!!

Throughout this series, I have waited for Marvel's story. He was the little brother that kind of stood in the background for a while...until he couldn't take anyone hurting his family anymore. He had a drive unlike his brothers. He was willing to go above and beyond a dangerous situation, but sometimes those chances go too far.

Clover was a girl with a head full of dreams and a heart of gold. She put all she had into becoming the nurse she dreamt of being. Because of that, fate was placed in her healing hands. Her life would forever change because of a family full of cowboys and a grandfather who brought them into her world.

"I've never seen someone so determined and damn right hell bent on not being saved. Yet, when my lips touched his marred skin I've never felt higher."

Marvel and Clover butted heads...a lot, but that didn't mean Clover couldn't try to get through Marvel's broken spirit. I'm not going to lie, they each had their own way of breaking my heart. Whether it was because of Clover's determination to become successful no matter what her family said. Or the fact that Marvel was so broken, he couldn't even see past the pain.

I knew this book was going to be a doozy! I knew my emotions woud run high throughout the pages. I didn't expect to tear up in almost every. single. chapter!!

"I'd save you all over again. I'm sorry, but I would. I barely know you Marvel Slatter, and I know that you're worth it."

"I know deep in my gut I'm branding a legacy and getting our pride back."

I also loved that, like the other two books, HJ Bellus incorporates all the characters in every book. You don't feel like you're missing any of their stories.

The Slatter family is a tight knit group, and the way they rally around each other is wonderful. This story shows that even when one member feels their world falling apart, the others are right there to pick him back up and push him forward again.

"She saved me, and I've destroyed her."

"I didn't pick him, my heart did."

Thank you, HJ Bellus!

This book was everything I hoped it would be and more! The emotions, the tears, the plot twists and turns, the swoonworthy moments, and the feeling of a family united is what made this book-this series-what it was!

The ending left me a blubbering mess, but it was absolute perfection! Well done, HJ!

"Maybe we can find each other."
"I think we can, Clover."

Branding the Legacy is the third installment of the Silver Star Ranch Series and chronicles the tale of the youngest of the Slatter brothers. Ms. Bellus has truly branded herself as an author who can easily consume her readers with a story with so much depth, passion, heart, love, and raw emotions.
All Marvel wants is to save the Silver Star Ranch. He will stop at nothing to fight the people who want to take everything that the family has poured their sweat and blood on. This place is too important and no one, not even the known selfish and ruthless man, Saint, could take that away. Saint is the type of person he town stays away from. This ridiculous human being pushes way too far that all Marvel wants to do is to take revenge. No one messes with his family's ranch. He's also known as one of the brothers who doesn't want commitments. Anyone who is willing and doesn't want anything after the meaningless sex since it's all he can give. Nothing more. Until this pure hearted Nurse, Nancy walks in his grandad's room after being admitted from a heart attack. She's very kind hearted and selfless. Respects all her patients and goes out of her way to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Coming from a family on her mom's side who are cold-hearted, she wants her life to be the total opposite. It's the reason why she's the way she is. Never once felt the special kind of love most kids long from the mother.

Together Clover and Marvel undertake a life full of experiences that are new to both. He hates how she saved him from the near death incident when all he wanted was to be left alone to die. After losing his best friend, he doesn't think he deserves to live. Clover will have to convince him that he is worth saving, she would do it again if she had to. The attraction between them that goes beyond what I expected.
A romantic novel seething with twist and turns. A page turner and will keep you intrigued until the final chapter. You'd want to stick around to see Clover and Marvel's epic journey. A MUST READ. You've done it again, Heidi!!! I can't wait to read your next book!

This series just keeps getting better. HJ Bellus' make you fall for the next Slatter Brother harder than the last. Marvel and Clover were just too instense not to get caught up in. From rivals to lovers and everything in between.

This book picks up right where Rules of the Ride left us hanging. Marvel and Weston have gotten themselves into a bit of hot water and now they must suffer the consequences and live with the aftermath.

When Clover and Marvel first meet he is nothing short of an ass to her. As he learn to deal with his demons he comes to realize that Clover is a gift that has been sent to help him through this time and may even be the one.

Clover fell hard for Marvel in spite of his dismissive and hurtful behavior towards her. Always prodding Marvel to open up. But Clover had her own secret she was keeping and when it comes out she could end up losing everything she holds dear.

As usual we spend time with all of the Slatters' and Granddad, the underlying thread that holds the family and Silver Star together. All hell bent on ridding their family of the hold that Saint has on them.

There were times that I feared for Marvel and was on pins and needles was we continue to watch Granddad struggle with his health issues. Clover's nurturing spirit and warmth was one to the reasons she seemed to blend with the Slatter family. She fit right in with Ella and Challis making sure that their men were taken care of.

This book made me laugh and roll my eyes at some of the banter between Clover Marvel. There chiding of one another always put a smile on my face. Her inexperience and her unabashed desire for Marvel was heart warming.
I loved that Marvel was attentive to Clover and tried his best to protect, love and provide her the warmth of a home and family she never had.

Though their journey may not have been all hearts and flowers, Clover proves that she is willing to do anything for the man she loves. Grab your copy of Branding a Legacy and see how things turn out for the Silver Star Ranch and the family we have all grown to love.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Slatter boys.

From the first book on, I wanted Marvel to find his woman and be happy. I don't know why but I just wanted him to have everything and more. Maybe because he's the youngest and has put his own life on side for his family and ranch, maybe because he always seemed the most left out of the three, or maybe just because he was the gentlest of them all.

From the beginning of the book I knew this one is going to hit me hard.
It broke my heart how Marvel suffered, battled with himself, but at the same time looked after his family and protected them. The love, loyalty, unity, strength and bond of the four Slatter man is amazing. I wish all families were tight like that.
Granddad is the pillar for all of them and I've never wanted for anybody to live forever as much as I wished he could. Beautiful soul through and through. Vise, honest and stubburn. The only one who got trough to any of them when shit got rough.
Clover was the perfect woman for Marvel, soft balm to his wounds, patient but at the same time gave him hell when he went started to get lost.
What I also love about all of them is they are emotional, show their wounds and cry when need be without shame. It makes everything so much more real and honest.
I loved the whole story, felt every fear and was beyond happy for every achievement Marvel made (emotional, physical or psychical).
The last few chapters and the Epilogue...Jesus Christ, I cried like a baby. It was just too much.

The whole series is one of the best written that I've ever read, so down to earth, honest and relatable. It's also my first time reading western genre and it took me away to another mind world that I really enjoyed.
Definitely going to re-read the series.

This is a dual review only because of the depth of the content in reference to the playlist in which I have had on repeat since it was released to me.

Marvel was the heart of Silver Star ranch. Being the youngest and in the shadow of his brothers his role was determined by keeping everything in tact and holding on to a name and legacy that was being used and tarnished. Was his actions just, YES... Was his plan solid, YES... Did his world fall apart and lives of those he loved and cherished as well, HELL YES... In came Clover, we will call her our lucky four leaf clover to come and mend all hearts, chest, and patients.

Secrets, past, hate, love, and first play a major part in the outcome as well as comings and no longers in this book. Marvel was stubborn by right and angry from guilt that went deeper than what he held. Shit, I would have done the same as well as carry it all on my shoulder. A cowboy through and through was branded in him as well as produced by him.

This book shows true meaning that family is not blood but love and actions of people that claim they love you. They take you in without hesitation and jump in front of bullets when you turn your back, proving they are there by your side until the end. Clover may have been a product of evil but the goodness of her father and the open arms of a Slatter brought sunshine to the gloom that has hunted her for years. Giving first to remember and some she may wish to forget. Great ending HJ Bellus, you Branded a Legacy series I will always remember.

Hello emotions.

Okay do not read this book if you are about to start shark week and you are emotional wreck, unless you just really want to cry.
This is the last of the Silver Star Ranch novels and just sends you on an emotional ride that you don't want to get off. I had to do that thing called work but this book was on my mind all day.
Marvel is the baby and the one who is hardened from beat down and beat down. He is tired of the bad guys always winning. So he concocts a plan to get what his family rightly deserves. What he wasn't anticipating is it going sideways. After what feels like a year of running from his fate and angel stepped in to save him and brings him back to life.
Clover was sent to Texas by her cold hearted mom to live with uncle because clover isn't much of a social butterfly. So her mom thought this would be the beat way for to change. Clover just happens to be a nurse and a darn good one at that. When granddad is on the hospital he becomes her favorite patient and with all her stories of Marvel she slowly starts to love him.
On the road to her uncles she sees Marvel and saves him. No matter how much hate a spews her way when he is first in the hospital or how much he tries to push her away she is there. As they navigate this new and fairytaleish relationship with the added scare from the bad guys their love grows to amazing heights.

HJ Bellus not only sends your emotions on a crazy rollercoaster but she adds a special something at the end of her book that brings the whole thing together. I highly recommend this.

If I didn't have young children to take care of this book would have been read in a day. I did not want to put it down. I loved not just the lead couple, Clover and Marvel, but also the whole family. You want to be part of the Slatter family and hang out and belong on their ranch. I enjoyed watching Clover bond with the family even before she met Marvel. Her childhood was less than loving and warm after the loss of her dad. Too find such a loving and endearing family to spend time with was a dream for her. I thought it was great how Clover and Marvel didn't just fall for each other at the beginning. There was anger, guilt, and a whole lot of stubbornness that needed to be worked through. But once they finally got to know one another and saw each other for who they really were....the love story was such a fun journey to watch unfold. There is also some suspense about protecting the family and the ranch. I truly did not know how the story would end and when I tried to guess, I was wrong..lol. And so glad to be wrong!! The epilogue was perfect and even though I loved all the characters of course, Granddad was my absolute favorite. I absolutely loved this story, loved everyone's HEA and couldn't ask for a better ending for all the brothers.

Absolutely great read!

Marvel Slater is the youngest of the 3 slater boys. He's the most determine and set on branding a legacy. After his worthless father jeopardizes the ranch and the boys have to settle debts marvel is bound and determined to not let dirty Saint win at everything.

Clover is a Cali girl. Well not really, she's shy, reserved, and kind, nothing like her family. She is sent to the small town from California to live with her aunt and uncle. Upon arriving there she gets a job doing what she loves and was born to do, be a nurse.

Marvel thought he had plans set in stone and was going to get to take down Saint, only it was an ambush causing marvel to loose both his best friend and an attempt at loosing at his life. Clover was on her way home from the hospital after a shift of taking care of old man slater when in the middle of the road she came in contact with the missing slater brother. Nothing could prepare either of them on the journey and trial life was about to set these 2 on.

Whoah! You know they always say they save the best for last! And even though I love all 3 slater brothers marvel has by far got to be my favorite brother! And how could you not fall in love with clover and continue to fall in love with granddad! This series is great and I hate to see it end but I'm glad everything came full circle!

This book is somehow my favorite in the series, but at the same time my least favorite.
I was really hoping that Marvel's relationship start with Clover would be smoother than his brother relationships had been.. That didn't happen. In true Slatter fashion he made it as rough as possible. Just because he's the baby brother doesn't make him the sweetest brother as I soon found out.
The beginning was a little rough but once they were able to move on they were really sweet. I was hoping everything would come out in the open sooner rather than later so they can quickly move past it. I practically held my breath waiting for the inevitable to happen and it did, but not until the literal end.
I think that's what I found most disappointing. When they were in, they weren't all in. This may have been more true for Marvel than Clover, but Clover kept her own secrets in a way. By doing so their relationship never seemed to be solidified. When everything eventually did come out and regrets were made, we never got to see the out come of it all. One second things are rocky, and the next we are reading the epilogue. I wish that things were resolved further away from the end and where we got to see all the steps to the end.
One thing I did love was the "Where are the Slatters now", it was nice to see how everything turned out in the end for all of them, especially granddad.

I was fortunate to be gifted 8 Second Decision. One book wasn't enough, so I bought book two, Rules of the Ride and read it straight through. There was no way I could call it quits. My life had come to a standstill. I needed book three, Branding A Legacy. I am so thankful that it was available. I happy danced while it downloaded.
I think I would have cried if I had to wait. Rules of the Ride left us hanging. We didn't know if Marvel was a live. We didn't know if Grandpa would survive. We didn't know if Saint would win. I needed answers. I demanded answers. Branding A Legacy gave me answers, gave me more questions and gave me resolution.
Branding A legacy was full of suspense. Branding legacy kept me on the edge of my seat. Branding A Legacy had romance and hot sex. I have to say, those Slatter boys know how to love. The Slatter boys are the poster child for alpha male. As I reached the end of the book I was still falling off my seat until the epilogue. You must read the epilogue.
Even with all of the thrills and chills, even with all of the suspense, I still needed tissues to wipe the tears and chocolate to ease the sadness.

This is the 3rd book for the Slatter brothers, which tells the story of brother Marvel (love that name!) and Clover. When I read the first book, I was all about oldest brother Maverick. When I read the second book, I decided I like Merek better. And then comes Marvel, who might be my favorite.

You know how some books have a ton of angst and you find yourself wanting to smack the male or female protagonist, or both?? This is NOT that book. Marvel and Clover know what they want and don't play games. I LOVE that.

This book also has some suspense as the back story from the first book continues along to a dramatic conclusion. Author H.J. Bellus made me laugh, cry, and swoon with this book. And not only did we get an epilogue, we also got a "Where the Slatters are now..." which I loved so much! Why can't more authors do this? We always want to know what happens to the characters we fall in love with, years in the future.

I truly enjoyed this book as well as this entire trilogy. Maybe we can get a spin-off with Sterling???

This is the third book in the Silver Star Ranch series and while this could be read as a S/A, I would highly recommend reading the series in order.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. It took me a little bit to get into it, but when I did, I flew through this book. I was really looking forward to Marvel's story and he was certainly the moodiest and darkest of all the brothers. Clover was a real sweetheart and was the perfect blend for Marvel. Their romance was a little too insta for me, but they certainly had a great connection. The family side of the story was a real plus point and I loved the scenes with the brothers and their Grandpa . This was another good story that was action packed and kept my attention throughout.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

H.J. Bellus has given us an ending to this series that provided us with yet another Slatter brother, Marvel. The entire family's trials and anguishes are portrayed effortlessly as we see inside their heartaches and hurts which can only be attributed to the author and her ability to tell us their stories. Yet their love of everyone they consider family shines through it all and gives them the strength to persevere and conquer.

Hot cowboys and the women they love with a dose of country pride gives us an amazing read!
I was sad to see this series end, but I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

A sad, beautiful, heartwarming, story of loss and love. A book I couldn't but down and absolutely loved every single chapter. The final book of the Silver Star Ranch Series I'm sad that it is all over and I nearly had a heart attack from grief at the end. WOW! Way to keep a reader on the edge of her seat their HJ Bellus. You could have killed me with the end.
This is a must read for all cowboy and cowgirl lovers once you start with 8 Second Decision you will fall in love with Merek and Challis and then when you read Rules of the Ride you will love Maverick and Ella. Upon reading the final book in this series Branding a Legacy, you will fall in love all over again with Marvel and Clover..... But don't forget about Grandad and Lil Mav.... What can I say but gotta love The Slatter's.

What a story. Everything comes together as we finally learn what happened from the end of book 2. But be ready, because it's one hell of a ride! So much anticipation. You know things are going to happen and you find yourself waiting and waiting... This is also about the youngest brother trying to find himself again and also forgiveness. Some of my favorite lines: "Well you picked the perfect man, and it couldn't come at a better time in his life.... I didn't pick him, my heart did." also, "She really likes you Marvel, and may be the one to save you. I know how it feels to be at the bottom of the world hurt, don't push her away." and "Granddad raises his (drink) last..To my table, my boys, and my legacy." last one: "I could've told you this long ago. She's the one God sent for you."

What an amazing ending to the Silver Star Series

I fell in love more with the Slatters even more after Marvel's story. Marvel's dedication to his family and the legacy of Silver Star is unprecedented. Hitting rock bottom just broke my heart but he had Clover there, along with Hus family to help him rise again. He fought against the evil monster who was growing inside him and returned to the beautiful soul everyone loved. Clover seemed so meek and mild when we met her but when she fell in love with Marvel, she fought for what she wanted and deserved! She deserved to be a Spatter and feel their love since she was deprived of it most of her life. #HJB knocked out of the park with this book. Absolutely loved, a must read!

Love the Slatter boys.

I loved all three books. I was so afraid with the way the second book ended. Marvel has a really hard time trying to come back from everything that happened. Clover has heard all about Marvel from his grandfather who is her patient at the hospital. She has made friends with the whole family. She lives her uncle and is on her way home when she gets lost. While trying to get turned around she finds a guy in the road in horrible shape. She notices immediately that its Marvel from his eyes. She has seen his picture in his grandfathers room everyday. Clover gets immediate help to Marvel because he is barely hanging on. He wants to die though. Grab this book and take the next ride with the Slatter Boys.

Love these Slatter brothers and life on the Silver Star!
Marvel and Clover are just perfect together - "I'm a stud and you're a nerd?"
With all the trouble swirling around them and never knowing when it's going to fall on them once again - could not put my kindle down. Great storyline and buildup to the final showdown.
Granddad is the still the glue that holds them all together - perfect head of the ranch - flaws and all.
Loved the ending and revisiting Maverik and Ella and Merek and Challis.
Outstanding series and just one more story that seals my love of all H.J. Bellus books.
Highly recommend!!!!!

I love the Slatter boys! I am so sad that this is the final book in the series. Merek, Maverick, and Marvel have taken us on quite a wild ride.
The Silver Star Ranch has always been where Marvel feels most at peace and the is what he lives for. His brothers like competitions and trophies but for Marvel none of those things matter. He will do whatever it takes to make things right. Even if it means leaving his family.

I dont want to just tell you the story with a recap but trust me you just have to read it.
The love and sacrifice of of the Slatter boys and their grandad is something amazing.
HJ Bellus you absolutely deserve 5 stars!

LOVED. (And I am a tough critic). The only part I didn't like is when it was over because now I have to find a new series. Again, LOVED.

I just adore this series and this family of brothers and their families. Marvel is the star of this book and along with Clover really did melt my heart. Their road to happiness is anything but smooth, but with his wonderful family behind him Marvel couldn't help but succeed in love and life. My ultimate favourite character in this series is Grandad Slatter, he is funny, tough, real, out spoken and just wonderful. He brought tears to my eyes for a whole spectrum of emotions. I can't praise this series enough well done H J Bellus!

Amazing. HJ Bellus has pulled at my heart strings once again. She made me fall so much more in love with Marvel. If you were on the fence about him in the previous books, this will have your eyes wide open, to a person who loves with his heart, soul and his whole being, all for his family. His love is strong and hard and it shows. Throw in a sweetheart who loves just as hard as him, and who needs all the love and family she can get, and you have the perfect pair. I wish there was a 10 stars option, because this book would definitely get it. Trust me, you will not regret this read.

The Slatter's are back and better than ever. When we left off Granddad had collapsed and Saint was at the ranch to retrieve his colt which Marvel supposedly stole. What really happened? Where is Marvel? How is granddad? It starts off before the last book leaves off with Marvel and what happened on his end of the story. Clover is an ER nurse who is new to town and is at work when bloodied men are brought in. Who are they? Does she know them? What happened to them? Find out this and more in this awesome read!!!
