At seventeen, Gideon challenged the male who killed his fathers, not knowing he was selling his and his brother bear’s souls to the devil himself. Forced to kill, Gideon and Abram become the monsters they never wanted to be. Once they’re saved, they’re only forced into a brand new hell.
They both know there is no redemption for beasts like them.
Only when they find their mate, a male who’s seeking out the same devil who wronged them years before, can they hope for a future. Both Gideon and Abram know how easy it is to lose yourself to vengeance and they won’t allow Garren to go over the edge.
Can they save him and redeem themselves in the process?

These installments just keep getting better as they go along! I really enjoyed the story of Gideon and Abram and their adventures over the years. With this book, we’re reminded how extended the longevity of bear shifters is, as it again begins in the past and works towards the current day to tie in with all the other books in the series. This one begins even further in the past, but it didn’t detract from the story at all.
I really enjoy how Kelex is tying the stories together. Too many series I’ve read lately totally drop the characters from earlier books in the series and they are never heard from again. Not so with this series. There are new characters, or rather the development of characters we’ve heard about in the past. Gideon and Abram were two of the four “enforcers” that the former Alpha, Gregor kept around to help out with the bad stuff that sometimes has to be done to keep their community as a whole working smoother. But now Gregor is dead and gone and his son has taken over as Alpha. What will happen to the enforcers now?
The evil dude bear shifter, Carron is back in this book. Will he ever pay for his evil? No more spoilers. I’m just going to say I really liked this one, and the story is progressing well. Now I have to wait for the next one! I’m placing my bets on who the next triad is, but I’m keeping to myself for now…oh what the hell…I’m hoping it is some sort of closure/redemption for the other two of the four “enforcers” and maybe a certain twenty one year old we met in this book!
I recommend you read this series. If you haven’t started yet, now is a good time to start. I believe there are only a couple more installments after this one…although I could be wrong! This is one of those series that builds on the previous books, so you will need to start at book one and move your way forward. The journey won’t be onerous!
This one I see as the crest of the first hill on a roller coaster. I may be wrong but I think things with Carron will close sooner or later. We did get some answers and I think our view on Gregor will flip back and fourth a little more before all is said and done. I'm most curious about what's going on with Joseph. Even with all that's been going on, I find his story to be the biggest mystery. I can't end this without tipping my hat to Kelex. Brokebear Mountain had me rolling.
I love these Bears!!!!! So happy for Gideon and Abram. There entire life was taking from them. To live with the guilt and shame was almost to much to handle, but they had each other to love. And then finally they found the mate they were dreaming about and the life they always wanted, desired and deserved, was finally coming true...Garren completed them. This was sweet, sad at times, loving, and so very sexy!!!! This WAS AWESOME
So far I have read all 7 of the books in this series. I enjoy "watching " the love, trust and families grow. Garren, Gideon and Abram all experience horrifying situations. It takes some time for them, but when they do finally come together, and work it all out, you get to see that what they have is truly magical. The story flows wonderfully and I was unable to put it down until I was done. I am looking forward to the next book in this series to see what happens next.
I LOVE this series! Just absolutely adore it. This one was great because we got a whole slew of new characters, went back to some previous ones, and moved the overall story along. There was passion, angst, heartache, redemption, and love in this and I really enjoyed it. I always look forward to a new book in this series, they can't be written fast enough!
Idk why but there was way too much "screaming" going on in this book. As in '"blahblahblah" he screamed....' and I'd think... aren't these grown men? Not flattering, bro.
So basically, this was fine. Didn't blow me away but wasn't terrible. I didn't feel like we got to know these guys very well. I'll keep reading though, because this series = crack. That's all.
I enjoyed this book but will admit that it started out kinda confusing because it started out 30 years before the others then jumped ahead some before catching up to the others. I was having a hard time grasping that but finally caught up. I am enjoying this series and am looking forward to reading the next one.
This is not a stand-alone. Other books should be read first. That said, this book was by far the best written in regards to the complete storyline and the sex scenes. If you've kept up with the series you won't be disappointed at all with this installment.
This series came a really long way since the first book that was, frankly speaking, awful. Solid lore, more and more worldbuilding, fresh dynamic between the characters, some angst, some hot sex make for an enjoyable read (if you're into tropey poly mpreg shifter romances that is).
The more that I learn about Carron, the more despicable he becomes. Unfortunately, I also find that I respect Gregor less the more that I learn about his dealings as alpha. Keeping the four former slaves in what basically amounts to the same thing was, at the very least, immoral. I'm glad that they are able to find that they haven't been abandoned by their gods, as they had assumed.
