Rate this book

Haruhiko was born rich and grew up pampered. But when he can't take any mofe of his father's tyrannical behavior, he strikes out on his own, determined to make his own way in the world. But going from super-rich to super-poor is tough on any man (let alone one still in high school!), and it's going to take more hard work than Haruhiko imagined just to make ends meet. He's doing his best and trying to keep up his spirits, but living on bean sprouts and bread crusts is enough to get any man down. Fortunately, he's got his sexy classmates and his own personal (and very hot) maid to help him out!

Moving out can be hard, but it's better with pretty girls.

2 1/2* stars.

Haruhiko comes from an affluent family, but after some mysterious dispute between him, his brother, and his father, he decides to move out on and take on the world on his own two feet. He is soon broke and finds his childhood friend/maid-in-training staying at his house after coming home from school one day; that is when the hilarity ensues.

While I could tell the love and attention that went into making this manga, I found it very meh. The art was about average, the cute girls were on point, but the ridiculous situations were just too ridiculous for slice of life, and I really didn't see any romance elements, except for panty shots and accidental, "oops, I fell and grabbed your boob," gags. Which let's face, that is not romance.

But I definitely did get some laughs out of it, so I'd consider it a success even though I most likely would not recommend it, just because it's a volume one and the series was never published further (that I've found) and it's overall meh-ness.

There are a few drawings which are excellent examples of fan service. The story is so bad they aren't enough to move this up to two stars.

Fortunately, I only bought volume 1.
