Woah that ending.
This was definitely a good read. At first I thought storm front would be way too, well, *clears throat* romancey, so the action punch it packed took me by surprise. There's something about the writing style that didn't allow me to put this book down. I love it how the author balanced action and romance in appropriate proportions and left me wanting more.

I had so much fun reading it. You have no idea how much I adore our female protagonist, Loriel. I wish I could say the same for Givanni. I mean I like him, but a little more character depth would've made us understand his character better. It took me quite a time to acclimatize to him.

Reason for my 4 stars rating and minor cristism - "Givanni is a good man and I feel safe with him" and other variations of this sentence popped up too many times. Other than that, I really liked this fast paced, exhilarating novel by the amazing D. L. Robinson.
I highly recommend it.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this book but I ended up really enjoying it.
This book caught my attention pretty quickly and it was really entertaining all the way though.
It was a lot more action packed than I thought it would be and I really enjoyed that aspect of it.
I read though Storm Front really quickly so I could find out what would happen next.
Overall, definitely a fun and entertaining read. I can't wait for the next book because that ending was crazy.

GNAB I received a free electronic copy of this mystery novel from Goodreads, D. L. Robinson, and Black Rose Writing in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me.

Loriel Lane is a young woman just starting out in life who lands the job of a lifetime as a secretary at Shellbrook, an international petroleum consortium. It is only days before she finds out it might be a very short lifetime. With the help of the CEO of Shellbrook, Givanni, Alarrno Loriel winds her way through the twists and turns of an international conspiracy, beginning at home in California and traveling to Givanni's family homeland in Italy to attend a wedding , and to Guntanamo as they uncover the conspiracy and find one another.

This is a fast read, an interesting tale, and a compact story. Written well before our newly found friendship with Cuba, the ease with which these youngsters enter and leave Cuba is just wrong, but perhaps now it is simple to come and go down there.

I had no trouble getting involved in this book. It is definitely an attention grabber. It is full of action and danger. My only issue is the ending. It was a bit confusing. I really hope the author intends to write a sequel that will tie up all the loose ends and end all the confusion.

I got to the end of Chapter Five, and just today I realised I haven't picked this up in about 3 months. I don't intend to go back to it. The first few chapters were confusing, and full of character actions that made me wonder what planet they were on, or if they were constantly under the influence of drugs. I won't be recommending this to anyone, that is for sure.

2.5 stars - (review request submitted by the author for an honest critique)

After finishing Storm Front, I was divided if I liked it or not. It had some high points such as the pulse pounding action in chapter 1-5. Through these chapters, the reader will ride shotgun to car crashes, gun battles, a kidnapping, and a break-in.

However, with that said, the story becomes a bit stagnant when Givanni and Loriel venture to Italy under the pretense they are in a relationship. It's no wonder his family isn't buying the bull they're attempting to sell. He spends little time with her and doesn't act like a man in love. Basically, he treats her like a friend --- at times more like an acquaintance. I think that's why Loriel was stunned speechless when Van admitted he was in love with her in the final chapter.

Despite the humdrum of chapter 7-14, things do pick back up in chapter 15.

I would like to say Storm Front ended with everything resolved but that's not the case. D.L. told me plans are in the works for this to become a series and, with a confusing ending, I can see why a second book is highly needed.

As for Van and Loriel, girl you should have went for Max. He is such a doll and a more likable character.

I received this book free from Reading Deals in exchange for an honest review.
At first, this book really confused me. There was so much going on and the main character seemed to jump to conclusions and accept information (or lack of it) very easily. Now I could simply gotten lost with everything that was going on. The book is aptly titled though. The characters definitely go through the storm. The romance is in the background and clean. The language is clean too-I don't think any profanity. Overall, the story was good and leaves you wanting more.

Mysterious

Storm Front had me hooked from the beginning. I couldn't put it down. There were a lot of twists and turns. Why was the mafis after Loriel? No matter where Loriel went, Givanni was always lurking somewhere. At the end, I was left wanting to know more. Did Givanni and Loriel befing a relationship? Was that the end of his involvement with the mafia. What happened to Shellbrook?

I completely loved this book!!! It was intriguing from the first chapter, unlike some books that take a few chapters to get going. Quite often I can guess what will happen in a book, but Storm Front kept me guessing the whole time. I can't wait til the second book comes out.

I enjoyed storm front and thought it was a great debut novel. I loved the Italy descriptions. I want to go visit now because of the authors descriptions. The only downside to this book was that it kept me up way past bedtime with its action packed scenes.
