I’ve found that I like the harder history books than the looser historical fiction. Shakespeare and Thanksgiving were good and interesting. Hawaii and the gorillas were fine but less compelling. Jack and Annie find everyday magic like theater, friendship, community, and animals. Not the best but not the worst 4.

This story I read today was about a boy and girl going on an adventure to Hawaii . It was morning Annie was getting ready for her next adventure with her brother Jack. Then, he was ready to go and they both got out their room and went down stairs in the back yard. Then they went into the frog creek woods to find the magic tree house. Morgan their best friend was not there. Morgan said that they are to find a book for Hawaii. they then found the book that said Hawaii and Annie wished the magic tree house could teleport them. The tree house started to spin and spin, until it was absolutely quite. Jack looked out the window and saw palm trees. they got out of the tree house and saw houses up were the hills where. They walked all the way up the hill when they saw people dancing. Annie wanted to ask them questions, but they couldn't hear her. Then, a girl grabbed Jack and Annie and was dancing with them. Annie was having fun but Jack was not. when the dance was over, Jack and Annie asked where the action book that Morgan asked for. The children knew were it was, but before they told them, they asked if they want to go serving with them. Annie said yes and Jack also agreed. then, Jack asked one of the kids if they can show him and Annie the book. They showed them the book, and it said that some times there are big earth quakes and other interesting facts of Hawaii. The children gave the book to Jack and Annie as a thank you gift for helping them serve. Jack and Annie said good bye, then went back to the tree house.Morgan was there and she took the book. she told them that the next time their next adventure will be hard. they left and said good bye to Morgan. then, Jack and Annie went home. The end
