"She is my one great love, and I know it will stay that way. I want to grow old and gray with her. I want to hold her hand every day for the rest of my life. I want to spend the rest of my life making her happy."

I'm pretty sure they were virgins. It wasn't mentioned if hero was with another girl during the 5 years of their friendship but they did say they wanted their first time to be special so maybe he was? I know for sure she was a virgin..

Hero was very mature and he wasn't a manwhore. There's no OW drama, the heroine went on a date before she got together with hero but NOTHING happened at all. No kiss, nothing.

Now his brother was really a manwhore, don't know if I'm reading his book.

I wish the MCs were a lot older than they were.

ARC kindly provided by Captured Press via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

This is the story of Tyson Caine, the oldest brother in a family of three sons.

I have to confess that I had really high expectations of this book reading the blurb. Unfortunately it didn't deliver in my eyes.

The plot is quite interesting and I love best friends to lovers but there were so many things going on in this book (abuse, responsibilities, single-parenting, tornado, etc.) that the point was a bit missed. Ms. Michelle is writing about some really serious situations and she is doing it with dignity. On the other hand, the issues were not well-developed and they felt too flat to me.

The writing was on first-person POV and basically from Tyson with few chapters from Brooke, Tyler and Thomas. The problem was that the voice wasn't feeling any different to me and I had to check the name on top of the page to make sure that I remember whose POV is.

Tyson is a young man that has so much on his plate! I really admire the way he looks after his brothers in his way. On the other hand, he feels too nice and too naive! There were two times that his reaction to Brooke was over the top in my eyes and it felt like unnecessary drama to me.

The end of the book was also a bit too much for me, especially the last two chapters.

The story and the writing was not bad, the development was missing that would tide everything nicely together.

It has been a while since I read a book by Aleya Michelle and was pleased to get an early copy of Tyson Caine.

This is a super sweet friends to lovers story with some darker underlying issues.

I couldn't help feeling for Tyson as he takes on the world, takes care of his brothers and deals with his growing feelings for his best friend Brooklyn.

And Brooklyn, I just adored her from the first word to the last. She was this beacon of light that just outshone everything and everyone around her.

And when they decide to take their relationship to that next step, you could feel the uncertaintly leap of the page.

"What if we end up hating each other? We also have a lot of the same friends and interests - how could I avoid her if it ended badly? Should I risk it? Should I take a chance on us?

Is it worth risking losing her forever? I just can't decide what to do.

I love love loved Tyson's little brother Tom, though it took me a while to warm up to middle brother Tyler, but as the story continued my heart ached for him more and more.

The Caine brother's story was not always an easy one, but I loved the kinship, the solidarity they shared.

There was one thing that irked me though whilst reading - but it was not to do with the story but the writing.

I felt that there was a lot of times where the author used then didn't use contracted worded in the same sentence - One minute it would be He's... and the next sentence it would be He is and things like that. It just messed with the flow for me, and at times it made it feel clunky and stilted - but this could just be me.

I really did enjoy the story line, and I look forward to seeing what the next Caine brother brings us.

Review:
“Maybe I’m just a teenage girl, and my hormones are confused. Tyson is a hot-blooded male, and that’s all that was right? Surely, I would have the same reaction to any good-looking guy. It’s just a natural reaction.”

4 Caine stars!! Great start to a fantastic series!!

Tyson Caine is the oldest of three brothers and he’s the stand out, role model among the three. And while looking after his younger brothers, he’s also lusting after his best friend, Brooklyn. He struggles with his feelings for her, not sure if he should risk his friendship with her or not. But when real life comes in and smashes them, is their friendship strong enough to survive??

This book had me on edge! I was pulling for Tyson and Brooklyn as I read, and the turmoil these two go through. The book is full of angst and lust, but it’s so well written, it’s hard not to fall in love with the story and characters!! Can’t wait to see what else comes from this series!

4 -- Caine Brothers -- stars

Brooklyn and Tyson have been best friends for years now. Lately, they noticed that the other person has matured a lot and they became attracted to each other. But because they both don’t want to ruin their friendship, they don’t tell the other person about those thoughts. Tyson can’t hide it for long and gives her hints, but Brooklyn doesn’t really know how to react. With encouragements from their friends, they talk about their feelings and it’s the start of their relationship. They have a great relationship and love each other very much, but things are happening in Tyson’s family and hopefully this doesn’t affect their young relationship.

I liked this book a lot. I completely understood why they didn’t dare to talk about their feelings. They are best friends and so tight. They spend most of their free time together. They support, help each other and listen to each other. Tyson and Brooklyn are amazing characters. Tyson is a smart, organized, kind boy. He’s there for his brothers and helps in the house. Brooklyn is a sweet and caring girl. Tyson and Brooklyn are 17 years old at the start of the book, but they do graduate and Brooklyn goes to college at the end of the book. There is also one descriptive love making scene.

The family bond of the Caine brothers is an important and huge part of this book. Tyson has two brothers: Tyler and Thomas. Tyson isn’t very close with Tyler in the beginning, because Tyler disrespects their father, but that changes when Tyson realizes who his father really is. Thomas and Tyson have always been close. When something tragically happens, that brings them all closer. I did sometimes feel that the focus was too much on the Caine brothers. Most of the chapters are told from Tyson’s point of view and he talks a lot about his family. While there were a few romantic and beautiful scenes between Brooklyn and Tyson, I wanted more of them together! I missed Brooklyn sometimes and that’s the main reason why I can’t give it 5 stars.

I really loved the last chapter of the book. There isn’t a far look into their future, but that’s maybe because the next book in this series is about Tyler, so I hope Tyson and Brooklyn will appear in that book. I’m intrigued by Tyler. He is a football star and a player, so I’m very curious to read who brings him to his knees.

Tyson Caine by Aleya Michele is the first book in the Brothers in Arms series . It is a sweet friends to lovers story and all the uncertainty that goes with it .

Tyson Caine is a seventeen year old that takes care of his brothers . He has a drunk for a father and a mother that will not rock the boat . Add to it that his feelings for his best friend Brooklyn keep growing as he notices the woman she is growing into and the uncertainty if she feels the same way about him .

Brooklyn is a sweet girl that you will love right off the bat ! Tyson and Brooklyn's uncertainty is very relatable if you've ever had a friend you've liked as more .

The brother's story is not always an easy one given the cards they've been dealt . I can't give away much here as it will ruin it .

This is a wonderfully written book that is easily relatable . I loved the story and can't wait to read Tom and Tyler's stories ! If they are as good as Tyson's , you are all in for a treat !

Tyson loves Brooklyn. To the point that its beyond love. Only catch? He doesn't want to let her in on that secret and ruin their friendship.

Tyson loves his family. He will go to the ends of the earth to fight for them and keep them together. You can see that fierceness in the way he takes care of his father.

This is my confession: This was a quick, solid 3.5 read. IMO definitely more geared for the YA scene than NA. Tyson is the real gem of this book. I would have liked to see more of Tyson and Brooklyn seeing as this is touted as a friends to lovers romance, Tyson's varying family dynamics took the spotlight off of the romance.

This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and I was not disappointed. Tyson loves football, and his best friend, as well as being responsible for his family. Brooklyn is a shy girl, who lives to dance, as well as Tyson’s best friend.
This is a beautifully told story, which had me hooked from the very beginning. This storyline is about taking chances, responsibility, best friends, and love. The author has done a great job in writing this story, and I recommend her work to

This is the first book in the Brothers in Arms series by Aleya Michelle and my first read from this Author. This is the story mainly follows Tyson Caine the oldest of the three Caine brothers but it’s also a friends to lovers story, and as I’ve said a million times before I am sucker for a good friends to lovers story.

Tyson and Brooklyn have been best friends for the past five years but lately they both have been seeing each other in a different light. The only issue is neither knows how the other feels and both are afraid to risk their friendship if they admit their true feelings.

“ I can be her friend if that is what she wants, but I’m also falling in love with her.”

Tyson has a lot on his plate for a seventeen year old high school kid. His home life is unfortunately not the best as he and his brothers have to basically walk on eggshells around their Dad who is heavy drinker with an even heavier hand. Their Mother lives in fear and even though she tries to stick up for her boys the majority of the responsibility to watch over everything falls on Tyson’s shoulders. The one bright constant in Tyson’s life is Brooklyn and as much as he doesn’t want to risk losing their friendship he has to tell her how he feels. But what happens when he takes the leap and true feelings are revealed?

“ You are that feeling you get when you taste your favorite kind of ice cream. “

Ok so this book started out slow for me, really slow and I did have a hard time getting into it. I was really glad it did pick up right before the halfway point and while it was a decent read, I just didn’t love it. I felt like there were to many holes and it was really choppy at some points and I found myself needing more in the story. Where I am had a hard time connecting with Brooklyn , I really liked and admired Tyson’s character. The writing was good and I liked the idea of the story, I just didn’t like it as much as I wanted to. But on the plus side Tyson was a great character and I loved the cover.

Tyson Caine is the oldest of three brothers, with a father who gets drunk all the time, and a mother that won't rock the boat. He's a seventeen year old, that spends most of his time being responsible so he can take care of his brothers. When he's not busy with the boys, he spends his time with Brooklyn, who has been his best friend for years. The problem is that he's fallen in love with her, and he doesn't know how to tell her because he's terrified that it will ruin their friendship. Brooklyn is a beautiful girl whose passion is dancing. She never dates, as she's in love with her best friend, Tyson, but she, too, is afraid to admit her feelings. Will they ever swallow their fear and admit their love to each other?!

WOW! I have read all of this author's books, and I wasn't expecting this story. The character development is great, as we get to watch the kids grow up and evolve, with a colorful cast of secondaries. The emotional angst had me all kinds of upset, like these boys were my brothers, as I was transported into their lives. Aleya Michelle's talented writing style, as usual, reeled me in from the beginning, and kept me hostage until I finished the very last page. She added in some twists that I never saw coming, but had me cussing big time. I want to say how refreshing it was to read about a seventeen year old football player that wasn't a dog, but instead responsible, and very caring. Tyson Caine is a great start to a new series, and I cannot wait for the next book! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the first book in Brother in Arms and about the oldest brother, Tyson. Let's just say that this is more than just a young adult read (cause I am not young) and enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait until I read about Tyler and Thomas.

Tyson is the oldest and acts way more like an adult than a seventeen year old. He is mature and helps out with his brothers making sure they are taken care of and the love of football those brothers share makes this story come together and shows that they are there for each other not only at home, but on the field.

For the past five years him and Brooklyn have been best friends, but something clicks with both of them and realize they each have feelings for each other. Do you take the chance and possibly ruin your friendship or stay quiet?

Brooklyn is not your average girl either and is mature and natural. She doesn't need to act fake or be known like the cheerleaders. Each of them have a story that is heartbreaking, but you'll have to read the book to find out why.

This book touches on many topics and shows that even as teenagers you know what you want and what you need to do to make it in the big world and in your relationship. These will be standalones, but you will definitely want to read about all the brothers. The story on Tyler will be interesting since he is the middle child and was so defiant. Wonder what girl will knock some sense in his head cause I know it won't be Chelsea. Tyson so far is my favorite. Let's see if I will change my mind as I read about Tyler and Thomas.

DISCLAIMER: I received a copy of this book (through Raven Publicity) in exchange for honest review. I shall make an effort to avoid sharing spoilers . . . not too many . . . I'll try. *winks*

Though this book mainly follows Tyson's and Brooklyn's perspectives; however, we do catch a glimpse of Tyler and Thomas, when moments with them matter most. The author brings into perspective the fine line between loving correction and discipline, and aggressive abuse. There truly is a fine line and I think one should never cross to the worse side of the scale.

Tyson is . . . how can one describe perfection? You can't, because perfect is the only proper description you can give him. Tyson is the perfect gentleman to his best friend, Brooklyn. I wish there were people like him in this world (I know they are out there, but I want to SEE them).

The author's writing is amazing. It was easy to get warped into the plot, and to feel what the characters were feeling at the time and place. Everything fell into place; I did not have any heart attacks while reading . . . . that's a lie. I had little ones. There quite a few twists and they were well executed and thought out.

I enjoyed this book, it was a quick read.

Tyson is the oldest of 3 brothers, he is there keeper. He watches out for them and the 3 of them have a bond together that they stick together. They have a hard home life, a absent drunk abusive father and a mother that loves her boys so much but can't handle the tough situations happening to them. Brooklyn is Tyson's best friend, she is a dancer trying to be the best her mother wanted her to be. Tyson has been there for her though everything but as they both start getting older they both start realizing things changing between them, they are looking hotter to each other and different feelings are starting to develop between them.

I thought Tyson and Brooklyn were so cute together. They were so scared to tell each other how they felt and I am glad there friends pushed them into it they were so cute and had a really sweet connection between them.

I loved the connection between the brother. They were each different in there own ways but had a strong connection between them, they were always there for each other worried about each other cheering each other one. Not a lot of times do you see that between 3 brothers all close in age.

I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading Tyler and Toms stories.

Tyson Caine by Aleya Michelle was a first time read for me. Aleya Michelle did a great job writing this book; I Absolutely loved the book, once I started reading it did not want to stop reading it. This story held me transfixed from start to finish. I liked how the story flowed and how it keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen next. I found that the POV between the characters was very emotional and heartwarming. Tyson Caine is the first book in the Brothers in Arms series. Tyson Caine is the eldest brother of three brothers, and seems to take on a lot of responsibility when it comes to his two younger brothers. Tyson's best friend is Brooklyn, he's always been there for her for the past 5 years. She’s the most beautiful girl in the word to him; but he hasn’t told her how he feels about he and he doesn’t know if he should or not. Overall this was a solid read with plenty of character development and world building. The steam factor is off the charts. I read this one in a day. It was quick and once the drama set in, I was already completely hooked and had to know what was going to happen! I would defiantly recommend this book to all my friends who read the same types of books I do.

Ooh I’m so excited, an author I had never read before!!! And one that I absolutely loved, this was a super book and Tyson Caine, straight onto my favourite character’s list.
Tyson is the eldest of the Caine brothers but he is still a kid, a young man who seems to shoulder more than most and beside his brothers there is one person that matters the most to him and that is Brooklyn, he has loved her for a long as he can remember but he hasn’t actually gotten around to telling her how he feels…after all if she doesn’t feel the same, he could lose his best friend. Really, she would have to be a complete imbecile not to love him, I fell for the guy hook, line and sinker!
The connection between the two of them was impossible to miss, they brought each other to life. I think I would have to fess up and admit that this was the book that kept me up until the early hours as I wasn’t in a position to just lay the book down and pick it up again in the morning, I wanted to read it all, to get to the end of their story and to see exactly what the author had in story for them both.
I adored the path the story took, the lilt of the story and the style the author has, this was a fabulous read, and I have to say it should be high on everyone’s to be read list.

Tyson Caine is sweet, caring, and responsible. He takes care of his younger brothers. He respects his father. Loves his mother. And he is in love with his best friend, although she has no idea. He does everything he can to hide his feelings and keep their friendship the way it is.
Brooklyln is hardworking and dedicated to keeping the promise she made to her mother before she died. To keep dancing. When she realizes she is in love with Tyson she does everything she can to keep those feelings burried.
When their friends shove them together one night. Their feelings can't be denied and love wins over friendship. That is where I will stop as I hate to give away the story.
I loved the side characters Tyler is one I would love to get a story about. Tom is sweet with his 14 year old innocence.
While the trasitioning from one chapter to another sometimes left me saying, wait what, all in all the story was good. I enjoyed reading and am excited to see what Aleya brings with the next in the series.

Tyson Caine is the eldest brother of three brothers,Tyler and Thomas are 16 and 14, he seems to take on a lot of responsibility when it comes to his two younger brothers like for example makes sure they get out of bed etc, which i found strange as both are 16 & 14 years old, his father is a drunk and his mother wants to keep the peace all round.

Tyson's best friend is Brooklyn, he's always been there for her as she has for him, both start to see each other in a different light but are too scared to take the chance, to take things any further just in case they loose the friendship they hold so dear to them, but life is for taking chances.

I liked this book, it was a quick, easy and sweet read,i would love to know more about Tyson's brother Tyler so I'm hoping the author decides to tell his story, the storyline was good, flowed right and all the characters were well developed.

Really good story that might even feel a little closer to home since I'm the older daughter in my home. Made me remember those high school days, first love, and making plans for the future; a time were things were simpler and possibilities were infinite. This story is a page turner and will definitely touch your soul and shed some tears. Tyson your all American boy: perfect son and brother, honor student and star football player, but the weight of all is catching up with him. If that's not enough, he's developing feelings for his best friend Brooklyn. It's becoming harder and harder everyday to be near her without exposing himself. What he doesn't know is that Brooklyn feels the same way. Fears are put aside, moves are made and they are both living in a dream, until destiny has other plans for Tyson and he's put to the test.

Tyson Caine will forever be in my heart.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed.
The books starts out pretty slow but picks up about halfway through. I loved getting to know Tyson and his 3 brothers. The things that they went through explains why each of them are the way they are. I am absolutely in love with Brooke. Best friends can result in love and I truly believe that. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a slow paced romance. You will need a box of tissues once the story picks up about the man named Jimmy and what he was capable of! Poor boys! I can not wait to read Tyler's story next. This series is going to be amazing I already know just by reading book 1. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, twists & turns, and heartbreak.

This is Brooklyn and Tyson’s story. This is a friend to lover’s story. These two try and navigate a change of feels from friends to lovers that at times is uncertain and other times painful. These two are best friends but over the years things have changed and they fall harder and harder for each other. Can they rock the boat of friendship and move forward to be together. They go through ups and downs like any couple but in the end soul mates are meant to be together and will overcome all odds.

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Being best friends for so long, would you make the leap of faith to take things to the next level? This is what Tyson and Brooklyn face.

Through the ups and downs of being the eldest brother in a unstable family, Tyson is way beyond his years, being forced to be the parent, I believe, and his brothers protectors. With losing her own mother, Brooklyn also comes across a lot more mature than her years too. This is where it shows how compatible Tyson and Brooklyn are foe each other. With some well intentions from their friends, will the leap be worth it?

An easy read, well written with a HEA, you won't be disappointed.

Tyson Cain the eldest of 3 is just trying get to survive and look out for his brothers. Home life isn't so great but he does what he can, it's alot of respond ability being so young, but having a great BFF helps but what if your feelings are turning more than friends? Brooklyn loves Tyson and knows about his family but she tries to be there when needed but her feelings for Tyson are growing into more, can or will either be strong enough to take the next step? I loved the characters and the flow and hope to have more .

Aleya Michelle has done it again, written a fabulous story!
Tyson Caine being the oldest of three sons feels every responsibility he has placed on his shoulders and then some.
Brooklyn is his friend of five years, they both know each other but then see the other in a new light.
The Caine family has its battles and challenges too.
This young adult romance is delightful and fresh. Aleya Michelle really knows how to build character descriptions so that you, the reader, feel like you know them personally. I look forward to the next book about that scallywag Tyler!

4* read. This is a new book in a new series and i couldn't wait to get stuck in. A friends to lovers story that will keep you hooked throughout. Tyson is the eldest of 3 brothers and takes on a lot of responsibility where there concerned. Brooklyn is Tyson's best friend and even though both start to see each other as more, they don't want to tell the other or take that next step in-case it ruins their friendship. Will they take a chance?, you'll need to read it to find out. I hope Tyson's brothers get their own book too as i'd love to see more from them.

Loved loved this book.

Once again Aleya gives us a great book and a great start to a season of books.

We met Tyson the oldest of the Caine brothers who all play football. Next there is Tyler and finally Thomas.

Tyson and Broklyn have been best friends for years but now they are getting feelings for one another. Can they work up the courage to tell each other and if they can will their relationship last or are they just meant to be friends?

All these things and more are answered.

I look forward to Tyler Caine book 2.

This novel earns a rating of two stars from me. I felt it was a little under-developed and had to follow the story line. The summary/description lead me to believe it was more of a love story between Tyson and his high school sweetheart but it seemed more about Tyson and his two younger brothers and their struggling relationship with their father. The story line swapped between Tyson's love interest and his family/home life and didn't really relay too much to connect the two. Overall, it's an easy, quick read for the younger generation.

i loved this book..A must read.
it brought a few emotions to the surface. it was heart wrenching for me. i loved hearing Tysons story, the downs & ups he endured througgt his story. his besties Brooklyn & how they blossomed. what the 3 brother endured by there hard working, strict fathers hands. Tyler i felt heartbroken for. tommy was nothing but shocking. the brothers r family & family is forever... i book i will remember.

Tyson Caine is so awesome I love the story and meeting him and his two brothers it starts out slowly but then then more you read the better is gets you meet people you will love and some who will make you mad but all in all its a great slow romance and I can't wait to read the next book. Aleye Michelle is a new author to me but I can say I love her writing. I was asked for my honest opinion and here it is I give this book 5 stars
