Roxane Marie Galliez is a prize-winning writer, poet, and children's book author. She has a doctorate in the history of ancient civilizations and traveled the Pacific Islands for several years as a researcher and journalist.She lives near Saint-Etienne, France.

Las ilustraciones son hermosas y la historia no queda tan atrás.
Es un cuento con sentimentalismo que llega a mostrar el arte de la música desde un lugar conocido pero poco visto ahora, el de la pasión.
Creo que sólo por las ilustraciones de Cathy merece la pena, pero las palabras de Roxane también llegan a atrapar, y más con algunas frases concretas.

Escuché de este libro en una reseña de shorts o de Instagram, no recuerdo muy bien, mientras buscaba sobre otro.
Al inicio tenía mis dudas, más que el encuadernado me decepcionó y pensé que la editorial al final no era tan buena, pero dejando de lado eso y centrándose en las ilustraciones, aunque sean muy infantiles y un tanto simples, son preciosas y tienen la capacidad de expresar las emociones de la historia y de manifestar la ambientación de esta mediante el uso de texturas en ellas.

Ahora la historia, sinceramente pensé que sería un cuento de hadas moderno más con un final feliz y típico y la verdad nada más lejos de eso. Es un final feliz, agridulce, hermoso y sincero que realmente deja pensando más allá de la historia del libro, en tus propias historias.

La verdad el libro superó mis expectativas. La presencia de la música es algo muy hermoso y es de esas historias para releer muchas veces y encontrar cosas nuevas cada una de ellas por la misma integración de las ilustraciones con el texto.

"Dame la luna" es un cuento con un arte precioso, lleno de texturas y colores que carga gran parte de la historia.

Si bien se promociona como una historia de amor, pues Colombina está enamorada de Marcelo y Pierrot de Colombina, el mensaje fuerte del cuento gira en torno a la música y la pasión.

En general es un lindo cuento para todo público, tiene el sentimiento y la magia del cuento de hadas pero con un estilo más moderno.

"Dame la luna" is a book with beautiful art, grat layouts that help to convey the pacing.

Although it's blurb implies this is a love story, the core of the plot revolves around music. In general, it's a nice story for all audiences, it has the feeling and magic of the fairy tale but with a more modern style.

Ilustrasi Cathy Delanssay memang jaminan keren. Goresannya khas dan indah. Ada satu gambar yang agak vulgar, kurang tepat untuk anak. Begitu juga ceritanya. Menurut saya kurang cocok untuk anak-anak, yang jadi sasaran buku ini. Kisah cinta antara pria dan wanita mungkin oke saja menjadi konten buku anak, hanya cerita cinta dalam buku ini agak aneh, terlalu gelap. 2,5 stars deh.

Oh ya, ada typo di sampul buku. Nama ilustrator jadi Canthy, mestinya Cathy. Kalau zaman dulu kerja di penerbit buku, redaksi yang jadi PJ bakal dapat SP1 :D

Inspired in Commedia dell'Arte, it is a very beautiful and poetic book. The illustrations are very dreamy but I believe its made more for adults than children. It's very romantic with surreal elements: it tells the story of Columbine who loves Marcello, a cellist. Pierrot loves Columbine and offers her the Moon, but the music Marcello Makes still captivates Columbine...Anyway, It has a Happy ending:D

Uma história ternorenta, linda e com todos os elementos que tornam, para mim, um história para a vida: amor à música, romance, o luar e a magia. Que mais podíamos pedir? Em apenas algumas páginas temos um conto tão profundo que nos faz sonhar, mesmo neste mundo feio onde estamos. As ilustrações são maravilhosas e ajudam a fazer-nos voar ainda mais alto. Amei!!! Vai ser para ler e reler várias vezes, sem dúvida!!! 🥰🥰🥰

The artwork is amaaaaazing! I love the surreal feeling of the story. But the theme is too mature to be considered as a children book, so I'm not sure.
It's basically a story about a girl who likes boy, boy likes girl, and another boy likes said girl too. Only, boy 1 never said anything to the girl. Boy 2 said he would give girl anything, including the moon. So girl went with boy 2 (good thinking girl!) boy 1 is sad, girl is sad. But then boy 1 realized that he never really love the girl, but she was his muse. And so on and so on and everybody lives happily ever after.

This book is about why a cello is called cello.
It's a romantic and heartwarming story with beautiful artwork and gentle tone *awe-stricken.

This story teaches us to distinguish between love and adoration before we decide to spend our life with someone. It also teaches us that when we love someone, let her (or him) go; if she comes back, then she's meant to be yours, but if she doesn't, she's not meant for you...

lovely illustrations

Currently I'm not a big fan of fiction; however, I liked how the writer involved the moon and a tree in Ava love life (who was torn between two loves)

at the end Ava makes up her mind

this story is suitable for children with romantic personality...I just doubt they could relate to it at young age

I love this book. The story is light and wonderful. It is so dear to my heart. I keep this book near me so that I can read it over and over again. The illustrations are beautiful and I feel as though I am in a dream every time I read this book.

This was another book that I bought solely for the beautiful illustrations, it really is gorgeous. To my surprise, inside was an incredibly unique and lovely story demonstrating the joy and life music can bring to others... It is a love story of sorts, but much more a story of loving music. <3

Kerumitan kisah cinta dimulai dari halaman 3 dengan kalimat "Namun, karena ia tidak pernah menyatakannya. Colombine meragukan perasaan Marcello."
