Great Book!!!

My daughter and I did this together and she got a lot from it. Written in a very practical way with lessons that can be applied immediately without being intimidating. A great devotion that will help a young growing girl as she transitions from “her parents religion” to “her own relationship” with Christ.

I read this throughout the year with my tween daughter. It was a bit cheesy, but there were some good conversation starters.

Great

These were great devotionals. Some even applied to me as an adult female while I read them to my daughter.

What I thought . . .
I was impressed. The daily devotions were easy to read and perfect for this age group. The devotions are short 1-2 pages with questions for thought and a pray at the end of each.

This is one you will definitely want to check out. It would be perfect for a gift for your daughter at the end of summer. Just in time for back to school.

What I enjoyed about the devotional was that it was easy for my daughter to not only read, but relate to. The devotions are short and simple and are written in a style that feels as if a young tween is speaking. My daughter really enjoyed that, she said it felt as if she were doing the devotion with a friend.

Another feature of the devotional that I like is the section at the end of each day. This is where the writer asks the reader to do something – write out the title of God’s story for their life, answer a few questions, or take a quiz. Even some of the devotions have active participation, like the day where the reader needs to guess, “What fruit am I?” My daughter wasn’t just reading, she was searching through her Bible, thinking about what was being said, and applying it to her own life through these thought provoking questions, games, and activities!

Cute devotional for girls; I would recommend!

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I wish I'd had this book when I was young.

Seriously, this book is written so wonderfully for tweens: each devotion is long enough to get girls to think, not too long to bore them, and written from another girl's point of view. Every devotional touches on real concerns of girls that age while also challenging and encouraging them. Fun and helpful! Definitely storing this away for when my girl hits that age!
