Brandon Richardson is certain of only one thing--his love for Jenna. He had no idea that falling in love with her would call the rest of his life into question.
With the country falling into ruin and security as high as it has ever been, Jenna's notoriety puts them both at risk. The two must find a way to finally be together for good--even if it means giving up everything they've ever known.
I enjoyed mistaken, mostly. The rest of the books that followed grew further and further away from what I liked about mistaken, which was the love story. All the crazy murder drama, kidnapping crap, wasn't why I wanted to read this series. A little twist is nice, but the entire series had way too much. 19 books total. Do you know how expensive this gets at $.99-$2.99 a pop? Instead of just making them into a single book. If I had known, I never would have started the series. I had assumed that the 6 mistaken books were a stand alone. This was my first experience with a series that was a series within itself disguised as novellas. Never again.
Things were left unanswered. Things jumped without reason. I just... I can't even explain how utterly disappointed I am. I enjoyed the beginning with Brandon being a business man and Jenna moving on. Then he's some guy for hire and Jenna can't stand up to her parents. Then he's working with bad guys and Jenna gets kidnapped to sell. Oh no wait he's really a sleeper agent and there a conspiracy going to, and a sort of apocalypse. Also Jen never learned that her best friend, who is not her best friend anymore, wasn't actually pregnant with Brandon's baby. Why couldn't the stories just have stayed on the original path that they were on.
I know what you must be thinking? If I didn't like them, why did I keep reading? Well, I have a compulsion that I have to finish what I start, because what if it gets good? These were good stories but not in the genre I wanted. I don't want mystery or action books. I want romance and these strayed from that the further into the series I got. I can't even remember the last time Brandon and Jenna had sex. I think it was when he found her in Maine. This was like a telenovela. Just crazy plot twists that don't make sense.

This is the last installment of the mistaken series. This is book nineteen. Fell in love with book one and continued to fall in love with the others. Sad that this is the last book, happy to know there is a silver lining at the end. Read them all you will get hooked. I will miss the adventures of Brandon and Jen. Thank you Renna Peak for a great story line that kept me anticipating the next book.
Best book ever couldn't wait to find out the ending cheated by skipping ahead read half the series lasted too long for me skipped ahead so I could read the ending couldn't wait any longer otherwise really good author definitely recommend
Don't know whether this will be a spoiler or not! You never find out the true story of any of them! Ms.Peak has this incredible story line going and it is if she didn't know where to take it so what happened is so unbelievable. You don't really ever find out who Brandon really is, why Daniel was forced to fake his suicide, what happened to Marian....... nothing was ever resolved ! I am one who finishes reading whatever I start, just so disappointed in how nothing is ever resolved. Too expensive to buy that many novella when it should have been in two books.
I'm so happy that we finally got to the ending!! Nineteen books is a whole heck of a lot of books. Reading the entire series took a long time. You certainly got to know Jenna and Brandon pretty well. There was so much suspense, lies and deception that you truly couldn't believe anything anyone said. Maybe 19 books was too many.. If Forgiven hadn't been out so soon after the end of the Taken series I'm not sure I would've read until the end. I almost just quit. But then there's the question "what's going to happen next?" That makes you continue. So glad it's done.
Its been a series full of twists and turns and suspense making you wonder where it was going to take us next. This book was filled with the same and didnt disappoint. I am so glad of how it ended although at times I did wonder how and if there could ever be a way out for them .
I wasn't expecting it to be this long of a series but after reading the first series, I had to keep reading. I read all 18 books and I would read them all over again. Jenna and Brandon's story and lives keep you on the end of your seat.
What an amazing ending for an amazing series! I really did like this series. At first I was a little unsure but I eventually got into it and felt I couldn't put it down! I'm so glad Brandon and Jenna finally got there happy ending after everything they went through together!
After 18 books we finally had an overall happy ending to Brandon and Jenna story. There had faced so many problems and too be honest i had doubts how their story will ended up :)
I loved this book couldn't put it down. When Brandon woke up he saw that he wasn't in the hospital bed but in a room with handcuffs on, but he didn't know how he got there. Brandon got really upset when he saw Daniel standing next to Jenna by his bedside, but Jenna told him that Daniel had helped them to be safe. Since Brandon couldn't remember the last three months, Jenna gave him a notebook where Brandon had wrote down in his own words what had happened to him. After reading and with the help of a shot he remember a little including that Daniel wanted something from him, but when they went to Daniel's home and he took them to LA where Brandon had his offices, Daniel had other plans. After putting everything behind them Brandon & Jenna got what they always wanted.
