Review by Lisa Kane

Adaline Morgan is the love of Emmit Lewis' life. He is an up and coming race car driver and they have been in each other's lives since grade school. Emmit knows two things-he will be the best in NASCAR and Adaline will be his wife.

Adaline Morgan.
The love of my life ever since the day she pushed me on the play ground in elementary school for pulling her pigtails.

The day he wins a huge race is the same day he asks Addie to marry him. But Addie has wanted to follow her own dreams and traveling ten months a year on the race car circuit means she won't have her dreams come true. So she has to break both their hearts in order to have a chance to be the best at what she wants to do.

"As much as I want to be with you I can't give up my own dreams."

Three years later, things are very different. Addie fast tracked her way through nursing school. She's visiting her parents and is about to see Emmit for the first time since they broke up. No avoiding him, since her father is Waldo Morgan, Emmit's crew chief. The years since they've been apart have brought huge changes in Emmit's life. He is now the #1 ranked NASCAR driver, has a ton of money and fame and is the biggest manwhore off the race track. He isn't looking for love, but he loves a casual hook up.

I was back in Texas, and those old feelings bubbled up. Anytime that happened, I usually found the closest girl and tried to push the memories away with a quick f#*k.

Their reunion is not what Addie hoped it would be-Emmit has never really understood nor forgiven her for leaving him.

Both say things they don't mean. Women are everywhere around Emmit and it's clear he has been sampling what they've been offering.

"It seems to me though you weren't that heartbroken if you started bringing whores to your bed every night."

But the thing I loved about this story-once they both drop their tough exteriors and admit that they have never gotten over the other-things move quickly. There is no unnecessary drama; the story doesn't drag on and on with contrived plots. That's not to say things go smoothly. There is an unscrupulous assistant that may want to get her hooks into Emmit and there is a bit of a mystery in the story line too. Someone isn't happy to see the two lovers reunited and will do anything to break them up.

But there is a ton of steam and sweet moments and a little heart break too. All the things that go into a good romance that make you keep reading.

"The rush I've always longed for and got from racing, is nothing compared to the rush I get when we make love. Or when you tell me you love me. You. Are. My. Life."

2.5 could have been 5 stars

There was a lot to like in this story however, I simply couldn't get past...

That took a well written 5 star book with a good plot line down to a 2.5.

~ 5 Forever Yours Stars ~

No matter whether she is writing about a swoony cowboy or fast talking NASCAR driver, Kelly Elliott knows how to write about LOVE.

Ignite is the first book in a new series by Kelly Elliott and it was just as fabulous as her Wanted Series. I love reading anything by Kelly because her books just sweep me away. She writes such swoony love stories, you can't help but fall in love with her characters and stories.

What I loved about this book was that she went outside of her norm and entered the world of race car driving. I haven't read too many books about NASCAR so that piqued my interest right away, but then knowing Kelly wrote it, I knew I HAD to read this book. I am so glad I did, because what we got is the best of Kelly Elliott. This book was told in Dual POV. It's a second chance romance book with the hint of suspense. The book was truly about the love story between Emmitt and Adaline, but she added some suspense to the storyline to keep you turning the pages. She was even able to shock me at the end of the book. I totally didn't see it coming.

This is the love story of Emmitt and Adaline. Emmitt and Adaline have been friends since elementary school and then moved into a relationship as they grew older. At age 19 Emmitt was starting to make a name for himself in the NASCAR world, but Adaline wanted to follow her own dreams. She has wanted to be a nurse and go to school for that. So deciding to follow her dreams she decides to leave Emmitt and go to school. Now it's 3 years later and she is ready to go back to Emmitt. Although Emmitt might not have the same feelings.

Adaline's return into Emmitt's life was not a smooth one. Even though Emmitt has loved Addie for the past three years he is having trouble letting go of the hurt. I enjoyed watching these two work through everything. They do have their ups and downs and Addie has some trust issues, but over all they function together fairly well. Just like her cowboys, Emmitt the NASCAR driver was great!!! Even though in the beginning he was a player, I fell in love with him as the story progressed. What I loved about both these characters was that they loved with their whole heart and went after what they wanted!!!

As always Kelly introduced us to some wonderful secondary characters, and she also gave us those characters we love to hate. It wouldn't be a Kelly Elliott book without some of the drama she cooks up. I am looking forward to reading Malcolm's book…..that is going to be an interesting story ;)

So if you love Kelly Elliott or are looking for a great second chance love story built around the world of NASCAR, then you aren't going to want to miss this book!!!

You cannot help but fall in love with a sweet second-chance love story like the racer romance, Ignite, by Kelly Elliott. Ignite is a tale of hope, love, happiness, and that much-coveted happily ever after for two former lovers who drift apart though they still hold on to each other's hearts. Real, raw, and refreshing, this story is light on drama and darkness, but heavy on the heart. Ignite is a tale that warms you from head to toe---a feel-good story that makes you smile and believe in soul mates.

Hot, sexy, and caring, Emmit Lewis, races cars on the track but his heart races for his childhood sweetheart, Adaline ‘Addie’ Morgan. Beautiful, smart, and sweet, Adaline has always loved Emmit, who is the only man for her. Love flows between them like the air they breathe not to mention the combustible chemistry where a mere touch ignites everything in their bodies.

Sometimes, though, you have to follow your dreams even if it means waving the white flag at love.

“Why can’t you follow your dreams and still be mine, Addie?”

“I’ll always be yours, Emmit. Always.”

“Please don’t fall in love with someone else, Addie.”

“Never.”

Holy Sweet Home Alabama movie moment! Swoon!

This couple once separated by work for several years is now reunited as regrets and anger start to morph into second chances and happiness. Emmit is Addie’s knight in shining armor while she is his princess. They are each other’s once in a lifetime---their forever.

Struck by past ghosts and present demons, this couple has the race of a lifetime ahead of them to reach the checkered flag and the finish line. A happily ever after may still be in the game for this couple if tragedies do not stop threatening to rip their new found happiness apart, and steal Emmit and Addie’s well-deserved second chance.

“It doesn’t matter. None of it matters anymore.”

Ignite is the first beautiful and brilliant book I devoured by Kelly Elliot, and it will not be the last as I am addicted to this author’s wonderful writing that hugs your heart and speaks to your soul. Addie and Emmit’s story stole my heart, and it is still being held captive. I cannot wait for the rest of this racing romance to unfold as this sweet and swoon-worthy series continues.

It is no surprise to me that within minutes of this book, I am smiling as I read along and am being sucked into yet another fabulous story written by Elliott. Every single time I open her books, I am captivated by the love written within it’s pages and how deeply her characters settle within my heart. Once again Kelly manages to do just that with the story of Adaline and Emmit in Ignite.

Ignite is a definitive step outside of the box for Elliott. Being most known for her cowboy/rancher stories, it was nice to see a change of pace with Ignite. Having no knowledge of NASCAR, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of NASCAR knowledge and facts Elliott included within this story. Having those facts, added to the realness of this story, dragging me in further, and making me understand the characters on a whole new level.

NASCAR is in Emmitt’s blood. All his dreams have been at being the #1 NASCAR driver and having Adaline at his side. However, on his fast route to the top, Emmitt never asked Adaline what she wanted. After saying no to the only man she’d ever hoped to marry, Adaline Morgan is beyond broken hearted. Knowing the only way she can justify her decision, Adaline gets her degree as fast as she can only hoping Emmit can forgive her. But can Emmitt make room for Adaline’s dreams? Can Adaline live the life of a NASCAR wife putting her dreams aside?

I never thought I’d actually love anything to do with NASCAR, but Elliott has won me over with Emmitt. His love for Adaline leaps off the pages. He is the epitome of everything we have came to love about Elliott’s leading men- sexy, romantic, caring, and a protector. I highly doubt she is capable of writing a male character that you don’t love within seconds of reading.

Elliott’s books will always be one of those that I buy without even bothering to read the synopsis. She always delivers a solid read with relatable characters that you fall in love with and want to hear more about. I am so excited to continue on this NASCAR journey with Elliott. I am already in love with her next character Malcolm and can’t wait for Adrenaline.

I absolutely love Kelly Elliott, she's one of my all time favorites. She knows how to deliver a solid romance story that always leaves me smiling and in tears. And Ignite was no difference.
Emmit and Adaline have been in love for as long as they can remember. Emmit is finally making is huge in the racing world and he wants Addie by his side for the ride. But she has different plans. Addie doesn't want to just be traveling along with him while he lives out his dreams. She has dreams for herself.
As time passes they drift apart to where they no longer know each other but never stopped loving each other. When a second chance at love rears its head, Emmit doesn't know if he can put aside the past and move forward with her. He's been living in the fast lane for so long, Emmit doesn't know if he can slow down. With his career blowing up, he thinks he finally has everything that he wants until Addie walks back in his life.
Addie thought she knew what she wanted until she lost everything she loved. But now that he's back in her life she won't let him go.
This book was so amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Kelly doesn't disappoint with this beauty. I can't wait to read Malcolm's story now!

IGNITE wow what a book. Adaline & Emmit have been in love forever. Always saw them living a Loving and Happy Life together. Emmit's career as a NASCAR Driving is taking off and all he every wanted was to Race and Love Adaline forever. When he asked her that one important question and she doesn't give him the answer he wanted to hear, the both of them are broken. Life sure didn't turn out the way they both wanted. Going their separate ways, Destiny has a funny way of bring them back together. Can they find their way together, can they mix their careers together to fine their Happy Ever After. I have Never been disappointed by any story written by Kelly Elliott. In fact I think she picked it up a notch.

Nothing hotter than a sweet, cocky, sexy and swoon worthy NASCAR driver ❤️ Emmit and Addie were very lovable characters. Kelly has a wonderful gift of making the cockiest male the most lovable character. I lived Emmit and Addie was so sweet and also stubborn and strong.

It was wonderfully written. Flowed well and the characters were great! I loved how it was told from a dual POV.

I was sad to see it end. Hopefully we will hear more from them in book 2. Can't wait for Adrenaline in March 2016.

Thanks Kelly for another great book!

I love NASCAR and I was pleased to see a book with the hero as a driver and the gal as a nurse.

From there I have to say that this book doesn't read like Kelly Elliott's other books. It seems off and not in a good way. Addy did the right thing by doing her nursing school IMHO. She ran away in a eavesdropping scheme and I think it's my bugaboo in fictional heroine treatment.

I did like the suspense in the plot but did not like the language of the driver. Then she has a horrible scare and first thing she wants is sex with her man. Let's put in unrealistic sex scenes for what reason??? Did someone say your book had to have so many sex scenes?

So it's a 3 star almost. I think I'll be watching to see if future books will be wasting my time.

Aah, young love... Some people experience it in their early teens and others a bit later on. It doesn't matter when it happens but when it does, it's wonderful.

This is true for Emmit and Adaline, they fall in love as teenagers and it's all sweet and wonderful. Until one day, when Adaline takes a step back and sees her whole future mapped out for her and she begins to have doubts. If she stays with Emmit she would be giving up her dreams and a big part of herself to support his dreams. Is this the life she really wants? She wants to make a difference in the world too and the only way to do this is on her own.

Emmit is an up and coming NASCAR driver and his future is very bright. Well it was until the girl he loved with all his heart walks away from him. Emmit is devastated and for the next 3 years he just gets through life, never forgetting the girl he loves.

Sometimes you need to take a step back to realise what you want in life, sometimes you have to really miss something or someone to truly appreciate just how special it is. When Adaline returns to Emmit's life it feels like nothing has changed between them, the feelings are stronger than ever. How can he trust her though? Is she back for good or will she walk away, breaking his heart once again?

This was a sweet second chance love story with a lot of drama thrown in to keep the story interesting. If you are a fan of Kelly's books then you will enjoy reading this.

Once again Kelly Elliott has wow’d me another epic novel. Ignite is the first book a new series. This story features Emmit Lewis, and Adeline Morgan. Racing cars are in Emmit’s blood, however Adeline is in his heart. They have known each other since they were kids, and loving each other has never seemed to be in question. However, spending most of the year on the racing circuit, is. Adeline has her own dreams of being in the medical field and she isn’t willing to give them up for him to be able to follow his.

Three years however, changes everything. Emmit is ranked #1 in NASCAR, and is taking total advantage of all the glitz and glamor that comes with fame. Money and women just fall at his feet. Reuniting with Adeline though, throws him a curveball. On the surface he isn’t who he was back then, but Adeline is hoping that deep down inside, he is still the boy turned man that she has always loved.

What I love about Kelly Elliott’s writing is that she creates an fabulous love story, that will steal your breath each and every time!! Give Ignite a go, i promise you’ll love it as much as I do :)

Honestly what is there not to like about a Kelly Elliott book. This book had a country passionate and loving race car driver, and girl who knew what she wanted in life, some steamy sex scenes, and just a tad bit of drama (in the form of a bat shit crazy chick)......what more could you ask for.

I’ve read many, if not close to all, of Kelly Elliott’s books and while this one had its own unique feel, it still featured two people with their all encompassing love (her specialty)!
I loved that it was a second chance romance with its own flair to make it stand out among the many! Emmit and Adaline’s story will stick with me for awhile!
I can’t comment much on the NASCAR side of the book because I’m not familiar with the sport......but it did make me want to get to know some actual racers 😉
Needless to say, this was another slam dunk and I can’t wait to read Malcom’s story!

“…I need to find who I am and follow my own dreams.”

Adaline Morgan is very much in love with Emmit Lewis. Their young love, rooted in a nearly life-long friendship, progressed naturally to a romantic relationship. She stood behind Emmit as he chased his dreams on the NASCAR track, but she’s got dreams of her own. Dreams that are not conducive to living the NASCAR life on the road. One thing she knows, though, is that she loves Emmit enough to let him go so her dreams don’t interfere with his.

“Emmit, I don’t want to leave you.”

Emmit Lewis, on the cusp of NASCAR greatness at the tender age of nineteen, has everything he wants within his grasp. With Adaline – his best friend, biggest supporter and the love of his life – by his side, anything is possible. On the night of his first big NASCAR win, he has big plans to surprise Adaline, but it’s she who surprises him.

“Please don’t fall in love with someone else, Addie.”

Spending their days chasing Emmit’s dreams on the NASCAR circuit, he’s realizing them. His future is bright, and he sees Adaline right there with him as his wife. But confusion nearly overwhelms Addie as warring dreams of a life with Emmit and a career as a nurse pull her in two directions. Addie just isn’t sure that she’s cut out for life on the road, and on the night of Emmit’s big win, as he proposes, she breaks up with him to move to Austin to attend nursing school.

“I was getting the second chance I had prayed for so many nights.”

Time is a thief and steals from the young lovers as distance and separate lives inevitably cause them to drift apart. Three years later, Adaline has graduated nursing school and is offered an opportunity to utilize her skills in Emmit’s world. It time away from Emmit taught Addie anything, it’s that she’s never stopped loving him, and she regrets breaking up with him. She’s grabbing this opportunity with both hands in the hopes that she can win him back. For his part, while he played the part of a playboy in an attempt to forget about Adaline, he’s also never stopped loving her, and he’s not going to mess up this chance to get her back.

“You calm the storm inside of me, Addie.”

With both of them wanting to get back together badly, it is no surprise when they do or that it happens faster than a lap around the track. They quickly work through their issues and are a happily reconciled couple moving forward towards their future. But not everyone on Emmit’s team is as happy as the couple is that Adaline is back in Emmit’s life, this time to stay.

“I just want to make Addie mine already.”

Both knowing what they want – a lifetime together – they waste no time in making up for their three years apart. They are engaged quickly and a destination wedding is in the works. But someone is not happy about their plans and is throwing roadblocks up as the couple moves toward their trip down the aisle. They have a suspect, but is it the right suspect?

“Always you and me, Addie. Forever.”

This was my first novel by Kelly Elliot, and my first NASCAR themed story. I enjoyed it. The plotline moved along quickly focusing not only on the rekindling of Addie and Emmit’s romance but also a suspenseful side story. The characters were well developed and the author’s writing style is very descriptive. The epilogue teases the next book, and it definitely piqued my interest. 4 smooches from me for Kelly Elliot’s Ignite!

“It’s funny how you go off looking for what you thought was your dream…only to find out your dream was right in front of you then entire time.”

“You’re the calm before the storm inside of me, Addie. When I’m with you i feel so at peace, like nothing else in this world matters. You’re everything to me.”

“We were meant to travel the road that led us here.”

Ignite was such a fun a read for me. This is my first book by Kelly Elliott and it will not be my last. I’m totally kicking myself for not reading her books sooner!

Ignite is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Emmit and Addie. Emmit and Addie were so in love. They had the whole world ahead of them…that is until one day, Addie changed things. See Addie had dreams of her own that she wanted to pursue and she didn’t want to hold Emmit back or have him resent her. So, in thinking that she was doing best for their relationship, she suggests they take a break. This break is one of Addie’s biggest regrets. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t find herself missing Emmit. When fate brings these two back together, it’s as if no time has passed at all. They both made mistakes when they were younger. And now it’s up to them what they will do with this second chance that life has handed them….

I absolutely loved Ignite! Ignite was well-written and pulled me in from the very first page. From the moment I met Emmit and Addie, I knew they had something special. They both made mistakes and so much time had passed, but the one thing that never went away, was the love that they had for one another. And once I really got to know Emmit and Addie, I was desperate for more information. I couldn’t help but fall for these two. You could feel how much they truly loved each other and I found myself hoping and praying that they would find a way back to one another.

Ignite is a beautiful story of love and is a great second chance romance. I loved the story-line and the writing. I completely devoured this book in just under 6 hours. I could not put it down. It had the perfect balance of angst, drama, romance, frustration and sexy times. This is one of the reads that when you are finished, you can’t help but have a smile on your face! This book gave me everything I needed with a few great twists along the way!

Ignite is an exciting start to this new series by Kelly Elliott and I’m super excited to see where this series will take us next!

Adaline Morgan and Emmit Lewis have been in love forever and will together forever. Emmit is the up and coming NASCAR racer and he knows two things for sure - he will be the best driver possible and Adaline will be by his side while he does it.

Adaline knows that she loves Emmit - there is no question about that - but she also knows that she cannot give up her own dreams to follow Emmit as he follows his. Hearts are broken but life has to go on.

3 years later Adaline has graduated from nursing school and Emmit is in the top of the pack for NASCAR. Adaline returns home and to the track with her family. Emmit is absolutely blind sided by Adaline's return and the shock is palpable.

"I was back in Texas, and those old feelings bubbled up. Anytime that happened, I usually found the closest girl and tried to push the memories away with a quick f**k."

Tempers are high and words are said. Feelings are hurt. Adaline is hurt by how Emmit has dealt with his feelings over the last 3 years. Emmit is still hurt that Adaline left in the first place.

Adaline won't give up and when an opportunity presents itself to be on the race circuit full time doing what she had dreamed of doing, she knows that she is on the right path to getting the love of her life back.

"The rush I've always longed for and got from racing, is nothing compared to the rush I get when we make love. Or when you tell me you love me. You. Are. My. Life."

What happens when Emmit's playboy past comes back to haunt them? Can Addie & Emmit leave the past in the past in order to have their happily ever after?

I LOVED this book! I loved watching these two work through everything together and separately. The one thing with Kelly Elliott books is that you can always feel the love. I can't wait for the next book!

Emmitt Lewis has all he ever wanted. A bright future as a NASCAR racer and the love of his life, Adaline by his side. His dreams are about to come true. Winning a huge race and asking Adaline to be his wife. Well things don’t go according to plan and with a heavy heart, his proposal is declined, leaving him heartbroken and confused.
Three years ago, Adaline Morgan made the toughest choice of her life by walking away from the only man she has ever been with and ever loved. She did it for good reason, she wanted to follow her dreams as well and life on the road with a famous NASCAR driver, her dreams of becoming a nurse would have never come true. Finished with nursing school, she is back and is willing to do all she can to rekindle their once in a lifetime love and when they see each other again, things aren’t at all what they used to be and Emmit isn’t as welcoming as she had hoped.
Adaline has always been super smart and was able to complete her schooling in three years. She is offered an amazing opportunity to be the teams nurse.
The road back they take to find their way back to each other is a bumpy one but none the less one they need to take.
I love how passionate Emmit’s love for Adaline is.
Adaline’s love for Emmit never went away but she did what she had to do for herself and for their future, if they still had one. As much as I enjoyed the story and the characters, I wish there was a little more focus on her career as a nurse. She did walk away from the love of her life to pursue this career path. I felt that the story lacked the focus on that part of her life and that was a HUGE part of the heartache. I absolutely loved how she stayed true to him for all that time, which is a huge message to him.
It was a heartfelt and beautiful journey about a young love, working for a dream and finding your way back.

5 Stars!

I adore this author and her books. And this book is definitely a top read of 2015. Her books suck you in and take a hold of your heart and soul. I have read quite a few books by her and added more to my TBR and each time I come back, I am reminded why. Not only is this author an amazing writer, she is absolutely adorable and such a good person. This series is shaping up to be her best yet!

I loved this book. It was sexy, sweet, fun, suspenseful, intense, passionate, and oh so very hot. This book was so amazing and I devoured it at one time. Adaline is a girl you can relate to and can't help but root for. And Emmit... oh yes be prepared to swoon ladies and have you panties incinerate. I though my kindle was going to catch on fire at times... because holy smoke the steam is intense!

This is Emmit and Adaline's story. They were once in love and had it all... or so they thought. But when Adaline leaves Emmit, it not only breaks his heart but hers too. Now years later, they are coming face to face for the first time. Emmit should be angry with her and Adaline should be saying sorry but sometimes we do things out of love even if they don;t make sense at the time.

Now, Adaline needs to explain why she left Emmit so suddenly and Emmit needs to face the truth and see if he can forgive her. And when all is revealed, they can then try to build on their relationship again. But it is not going to easy. They are going to face bumps along the way and jealousy. Add in a touch of mystery... Adaline and Emmit are in for a ride that will definitely give them a happy ending.

I highly recommend this book!

I just love Kelly’s books! Emmit and Adaline stole my heart right from the very beginning. Emmit knows one day he will marry Adaline and she will always be is his but in the blink of an eyes everything changes. Adaline has her own goals and dreams and she loves Emmit with all of her heart but she doesn’t want to hold him back. Sometimes it’s better to let go.

Now it’s three years later and everything has changed. Adaline pursed her dreams but she has been missing something and that something is Emmit. Emmit is no longer the say guy he was three years ago. When Adaline walked away it literally shattered his whole world and now that she is back he doesn’t know which was to go. But those feelings are still there and Emmit knows he still loves Adaline with all of his heart.

This book is told through both Emmit and Adaline’s POVs so we get to see both sides of the story. Now both of them made me mad a few times but I still loved them. I wanted to smack Emmit more than Adaline. But of course there are some twists and turns and bumps along the way. I loved this book. It was such a fun and fast read and I literally couldn’t put it down. I am REALLY looking forward to book 2 now!! Good job Kelly!

Kelly Elliott does it again!!! I knew the moment I read this blurb that I had to read this book and WOW!!! I was literally sucked into a world of racing, an amazing love story, and unbelievable writing. Once I started I could not stop, this is a once you start you can not stop type of book!!

I absolutley fell in love with Emmitt and Addie and their journey together. Their chemistry was amazing and HOT!! You could just feel the love they have for each other jumping off the pages at you! But sometimes the past can ruin a future? Will these two really be able to move on and be happy together? Is love enough?

I would 100%, without a doubt recommend this book!! Everything worked, the characters are awesome, yes even the secondary characters brought a lot to the table. The writing of course is superb and pulls you in from page one until the end!!! The emotions and feelings oh my word will leave you reeling! With some drama and angst and beautiful chemistry mixed in, makes for the perfect combination! Kelly is most certainly one of my most favorite authors and I am dying for the next book in this series!!! Absolutely hooked and Ignited!

Kelly has always done sweet, swoony and sexy very well and Ignite falls under those categories easily.

Emmit and Adeline were great characters. Adeline for knowing what she wants and reaching for it even when it puts her heart on the line. Emmitt had every thing he could ever wish for, the thrill of doing something he loved daily, the goal of reaching it to the big times and the girl... or did he?

I loved seeing Kelly branch out of cowboys and into a new genre but still keeping her knack for telling a story with just the right amount of angst to keep you guessing which way the story would unfold. There are plenty of steamy, panty melting parts to help you combat the initial heartbreak that they both feel and endure. The story flowed superbly! This is an easy page turner, read it in one sitting!

This is a great start to another great series from Kelly!! I will most definitely continue reading this series and highly recommend it.

Can't wait to read Malcom's story!!

Kelly Elliott is such a talented author. Her words just jump right off the page. They draw you into a fictional world where you just want to set up camp and live for a while.
Ignite is amazing.

Lost love, second chances, angst and HEAT!!

One steaming hot Nascar driver, Emmit, and one woman who knows what she wants. Sometimes we must let go of what we want in order to appreciate it more when it returns.

Emmit is a very sweet leading man. He says everything any woman would love to here.
"My love, my life, my forever".
"All I need to hear from you is I love you Emmit and I'll love you my whole life"

SWOON!!!

Gah, such a great book! I can not wait to read Malcolm's story next!!

When an adrenaline junkie gets a second chance to hold the one thing his heart desires, he will go full throttle and never let go again.

This book was amazing!! They have a chance to make their mistakes right can they take it? Or is there too much pain?

Adaline and Emmit have been in love for as long as they can remember. The thing is they both want something different for themselves. Emmit wants to race. Adaline wants to become a nurse. Can they stay together and have what they both want?

The prologue was sad to read. I understood what Adaline wanted, but was heart broken for Emmit. He didn't listen to what she was saying. He just got hurt and assumed she meant something else.

Watching these two grow into the young adults they did was amazing. I loved that Emmit was so attentive to his fans, but he didn't get a huge head. He remembered where he came from!!

This is an amazing start to this series!! I cannot wait to read Malcolm's book. That one is going to have some funny parts!!

Welp, Kelly has done it again. I really enjoyed reading Emmit and Adaline's story. I myself am not a NASCAR fan so I wasn't sure I would be able to follow but it is explained well and it wasn't an issue for me so just in case that is an deciding factor for you. Actually it made me want to watch a race!! Probably my most favorite part of the story is how things rolled, there wasn't a lot of back and forth on the main issue, it was what it was and I LOVED that. Now, there are some twists I didn't see coming and in true Kelly form there are characters I wanted to just plain out right punch in the face! I am very much looking forward to Adrenaline (Book2) Malcolm's story and hopefully we'll get a little of how Emmit and Adaline are doing. Totally recommend! #ReadOn

Ignite was a good surprise! I wasn't exactly sure what to expect and I was pleased at what I got. Emmit and Addie were both likable characters. High school sweethearts who get a second chance. Thrown in a stalker, the dangers of racing, and more and you get a pretty good story. There were times when the book seemed to drag. And I figured out who the stalker was pretty quickly. Did it ruin the book? Nope. I stayed up until 1:30 in the morning reading!
Heat: 4
POV: dual
Trope: stalker, famous guy, reformed man whore
Tears: No
HEA:

This is book 1 in a planned series. Book 2 focuses on Malcolm, another NASCAR driver.

She stepped out of the box and did an amazing job!
Kelly Elliott did it again with this one. Kelly's gift of writing blew me away while I read this book. This is the first time she's written about the world of NASCAR, Emmitt is an amazing character. Once you meet him your under his spell and he doesn't release you from it.
What I loved the most about Addie was her spirit. She knew what she wanted and that included Emmitt. She went after it all and she wa rewarded with an amazing man

Amazing

That's the word I use to describe all of Kelly Elliott's books. This book did not disappoint at all. I instantly fell in love with Emmitt. My heart broke for him.....and I fell harder for him. The only bad part was this book ended. Can't wait for Malcolm's story!!
