Full of essays from people who experienced self-mutilation first-hand, this is just what I needed for my research. Oddly, many of the paragraphs within the essays ended in ellipses, as though there was more that was eliminated for the book. I know this was meant for YA readers, but it seems like a subject that shouldn't be abbreviated.

Also nice: resources and notes on how to write an essay (this book was geared towards writing as a form of therapy).
