I fortuitously start reading this book, unfortunately, it is one of the worst books I have ever read due to the judgmentalism that was obviously shown in this book! The writers of historical (either fiction or nonfiction) must be evenhanded to every event and team that will be mentioned! This book judges Islam and Jihad, neither my mind nor the minds of other readers will accept such a way! Moreover, the timeline of the events wasn’t clear enough to the reader.
What I can seen through this book that Eric’s mindset is built on racial standards that are meaningless (at least to me). He highlights indirectly that every act that is done by Arabs or Muslims is considered to be terrorism. Nevertheless, black Americans (that were mentioned) as well as Arabs and Muslims are considered to barbaric in away or another, but we are not Eric! We are KNOWN to be the weakest so others will act as a superior, and that’s all. The comfort zone that you were looking for through your book will not come from the individual’s willings, it will come when leaders become evenhanded and a REAL leader, when the world will not be controlled according to racial and ethnic standards. At the end, the comfort zone begins when we believe that every single person has the right to live a life full of secure and peace regardless one’s origin, skin color, etc.
