The art in this series is so bad it's distracting. Many of the characters look like they barely have form or definition.
The story wasn't great either. The first issue was like, "Hey, I think there's something wrong with the magical world." The second issue was, "Yup, someone's definitely messing around with bad magic." Cue bad guy!
This character seems to have so much potential and it feels wasted on another paint-by-the-numbers comic storyline.

Fascinating issue. I love the very fitting labyrinth like layouts. The painted panels carry a Nice mood for the story, the first few pages remind me of the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Incredible art. Still a bit wordy for me at times and I couldn't care less about the plot, but I'll stick around if the visuals are this creative in the future.

"solving magical crimes. Agatha harkness, her deceased friend and mentor, has been acting her spirit guide. [...] Now Scarlet witch has a mission: to find the source of the ailment and fix it."
SANTORINI AND HECATE we have the greek element in this one and I'm guessing this is what they tried to do with art style as well
Hecate offered her goat but Wanda's vegetarian
"Jon Ajax , Greece's own "captain America"... They buried him last week." cringe
Ah Wanda taking a stroll down the sokakia of Santorini
I'm not sure how I feel about "I was born a god. Born on Crete, the son of Zeus! At least that's what I thought... And those were my powers. The might of a god! Now... I'm just William Taurens. Big, ugly bill from Camden, new Jersey..."
lots of greek references

A definite improvement from the first issue. Still has its problems (mostly writing-wise), but it was enjoyable.
I liked the setting in this one, and the involvement of Greek gods/goddesses, as I've always loved Greek mythology. The coloring was beautiful.
I understand explaining things about witches and witchcraft to the reader, but when Wanda is constantly telling her mentor how magic works, rather than said information being part of the narration...it just doesn't make sense. It just feels off, and that's my main complaint about the writing.

The new artist was very much appreciated on this book. My two complaints are the terrible panel layout and brief scuffle with the Minotaur. I could not tell how he hit Wanda. But I’m enjoying all the magical aspects here and the dialogue. Also the mystery is cool.

At first the art style is kinda confusing but once you get use to it, helps to understand the mystery and the maze-like problem with magic that Wanda has.
Also I pray to the other Greek gods that Hecate is alright (specially after the ending)

I kind of like the watercolor treatment in this story despite the inconsistency in character design. The writing is 100% phoning it in, but the artist is putting all the effort into sweeping paintings of Santorini that are actually lovely.

I enjoyed the unique water color artwork in these panels, but the story wasn't really captivating me in this one.

This had some of the best art I've seen for an interior in so long I loved it! I love the mythological aspect to this book as well

Not a fan of the art style on this one.
The story is alright, I want to see where it’s going but the pace is a slightly slow for my taste (and maybe impatience).

I read the first five installments of the Scarlet Witch comic book series for the 2017 BookRiot Read Harder Challenge category "Read a superhero comic with a female lead." The second one finds Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch, traveling to Greece to investigate the possible troubles with witchcraft in the world. She seeks insights and guidance from the Goddess Hekate, and also does battle with the Minotaur. In addition to the story, I enjoyed the artwork as well. My brother loaned me the five comic books I read and will undoubtedly loan me more since we had fun discussing these when I was done :)

Very Good!!! This series just keeps getting better and better! So the main story of this arc is that, someone is messing with the magical balance, and Scarlet needs to find out who. The Artwork changed this issue, it was a style you would see in an old Greek painting, which was fitting because this issue is set in Greece. Breathtakingly beautiful! It also seems to be a trend that every issue is a self contained story while, contributing to the main story, not many comics i read do that , so its nice to see. Overall an amazing issue!

Marco Rudy's beautiful art is here, just in time for a trip to a sunkissed island in Greece. The story continues to be more or less episodic, much like Edmonson's run on Black Widow, but we're learning more about Wanda's personal life, her doubt and her depression. Very pleased.

This is a great issue, set in Greece, the island of Santorini, where there is a minotaur on the loose, Wanda has to help her friend, a goddess of witches. There is a change of artist, but it blends very well with the location, a great issue, well worth a look.

Beautiful art. A lot of exposition. While necessary in story, it caused this issue to pack less of a punch than the previous story.

I really dislike the change in artist. And its not because I dislike the art on the contrary I think its lovely but I just don't think it really works for this story.
